Situated in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, at the foot of Fox's Path on Cadair Idris, With views of its own 12-acre lake, Gwernan Hotel offers easy access to outdoor activities such as fishing, walking/climbing, and cycling. Guests also benefit from free parking and free Wi-Fi.
Each room at Gwernan Hotel feature a flat-screen TV, homemade biscuits, and speciality teas and coffees. One of the rooms comes with a private external bathroom which is located just opposite the bedroom.
A hearty breakfast is provided every day and it is freshly cooked to order. Locally sourced ingredients are used where possible. The restaurant is open for residents only, and serves dinner by prior arrangement 6 nights week.

Review 1：Leaving to go home ....
Review 2：We were made to feel very welcome. The location and views were breath taking. Our room was luxurious, provided everything we needed and of high quality. The home cooked meals were so tasty and plentiful. The host/staff were friendly and very welcoming.
Review 3：Hotel is secluded and set in a beautiful spot but within easy reach of the town. The hosts and staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent although a long stay may easily exhaust the limited menu.
Review 4：Our only frustration was the poor WiFi reception which could be easily be remedied by investing in a more powerful router or extender.
Review 5：Peace, quiet and homely feel. There are private walks around the lake and log fires to greet you on our return. The food is cooked to order with skill and well presented. The room was cosy and very well furnished.

Review 15：Very friendly and helpful proprietor provided real milk in a small flask for tea and coffee making and fetched a brochure when I expressed an interest in the Ffestiniog Railway. He took away my damp shoes, dried them overnight and returned them (unprompted) in the morning. What service! The room was large for a single and tastefully decorated. The hotel is situated in a very picturesque location, ideal for walking and hiking.

Review 17：Beautiful, peaceful location with fabulous views over the llyn. Short walk to Cadair Idris Pony path allowing you to walk direct from the hotel. Accommodation and all staff were excellent, we can't wait to return.
Review 18：We had a Fantastic couple of days in Wales, the hotel did not disappoint clean, comfortable, quiet and tranquil, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has its own lake where you can fish and walk around views to die for. this is an ideal spot to see the beaches and incredible mountain scenery. Breakfast and diner were excellent.

Review 26：The location is perfect if you want peaceful, tranquil and beautiful scenary. The host are very friendly in a pleasant and informal way. The property is resored and decorated to a high standard. The rooms are beautiful and the bed in our room was very comfortable. The food is excellent beyond expectations. The bar is well stocked with good choice and a good atmosphere. Did I say perfect? Well it is, absolutely.
Review 27：I took my wife for a weekend away in Wales in December and chose thisplace becuase of the good reviews, and we weren't dissapointed.Elere and Geraint were very friendly and welcomed us to their facilitiesand gave us advice on restuarants for dinner in the town nearby as wellas activities to do in the area. Breakfast was huge and delicious, andwe prefered the quality of our meal that we ate here then what we foundin the town. Geraint was so lovely that he even brought cold and flutablets for me when I got sick on the last day. We walked up Cadar Iris,the hotel is perfect location to do this, and it was spectacular, Iwould recommend it to anyone.

Peaceful setting on private small fishing lake with plenty of walks up crags or down the valley/round the lake right out the door. Food was excellent - local ingredients well prepared. A wonderful surprise to find myself in such a lovely spot.

Review 45：The hotel itself is beautiful set in a stunning location. The hotel is beautifully modern and is extremely clean. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome and 'at home'. I would recommend the delicious home cooked food it was wonderful!
Review 46：A smartly refurbished hotel situated by its own natural lake with the mountains looming up immediately to the south: great as a base for outdoors activities, particularly in southern Snowdonia. Owners very welcoming, food delicious (though a few more healthy, salady options would be good), and a good selection of wines on offer too. Comfortable rooms, with excellent internet access.

Our greeting upon arrival was second to none & the staff were friendly & accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was lovely & spacious. The food at breakfast & dinner was delicious.
