Reviews for Ty Seren

Review 1:The wifi was a bit average but who cares. Go for a walk or read a book. Don't be lame!

Review 2:Firstly, I loved the owners. Nick and Sharon are awesome. They love to chat and were extremely hospitable. The freshly cooked breakfast was delicious and plentiful. And the dining room where breakfast was served is awesome. It's full of rustic antiques and a fireplace which sets the mood just right. The beds were comfy!

Review 3:Nick and Sharon were lovely and friendly ! Cake and port on arrival ! Nick was full of recommendations on things to do in the area. Breakfast was delicious .... Everything was great ! Will highly recommend ...

Review 4:Ty Seren is such a lovely, welcoming and interesting B&B. The owners were very friendly and helpful and good to have a chat to. It is a lovely character property and we liked the personal touches and memorabilia around. The bed was very comfortable, shower hot and powerful and breakfast just right to start the day.

Review 5:We found this place at booking.com, in the middle of nowhere, Dolgellau and didn’t know anything about the place or the house. The owners, Nick and Sharon, are the most wonderful and warm persons with a lot of humour. Perfect breakfast, rooms and exciting stories. Next stay in Snowdonia will must definite be at Ty Seren.

Review 6:Limited parking

Review 7:Very welcoming hosts, peaceful location, delicious breakfast with full veggie option. Characterful property reflecting the history of its past use as a mill.

Review 8:It is small. Both the room and the double bed (we're used to King size in fairness!)Parking can be an issue.

Review 9:Location is handy for walking to everywhere in Dolgellau. Friendly & knowledgable Owner and for £65 it's good value.

Review 10:No shower. "Just" a bathtub.

Review 11:Dollgelau itself is very nice. The owners are extremely nice people. Excellent breakfast. Unique place. Beds comfortable.

Review 12:Rooms weren't checked/tidied during stay. For example used cups weren't cleaned, tea coffee milk not replenished although we did find supplies on the landing.

Review 13:Excellent location, owners very friendly with lots of local knowledge. Excellent breakfast.

Review 14:local shopping area was a bit run down

Review 15:beautiful, clean peaceful and friendly with a good hearty and healthy breakfast and a restful night before our onward journey

Review 16:The room was small - okay for one night or for solo travellers, but would be a squeeze for longer.

Review 17:The location was very convenient and the property was easy to find. Parking outside is a plus. The hosts were friendly and helpful and happy to give us directions. Breakfast was nice, catered for veggie. The decor and garden is interesting and quirky.

Review 18:Great location, very friendly and helpful owners. Plenty to see and do around Dolgellau, nice variety of shops in town. We climbed Cader Idris on day one, rented bikes and cycled to Barmouth on day 2, and visited the Centre for Alternative Technology on .day 3, all well worth doing.

Review 19:Only a short stay here but Nick and Sharon where excellent hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. We will be back if we come to Dolgellau again.

Review 20:DIdnt dislike anything about the B&B BUT Dolgellau needs a decent pub and the restaurants could better.

Review 21:Sharon and Nick are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location is central and the rooms spacious and clean. Great breakfast that set us up for a hard day's walking.

Review 22:The bed was small for a double. Noisy plumbing early in morning. Probably more suited to dog owners and serious walkers.

Review 23:The hosts, Nick and Sharon, are great.

Review 24:Friendly Hosts, Always happy to help. Very knowledgeable on things to do in the area. Right in the centre of Town everything within walking distance.

Review 25:Really friendly people, breakfast was very nice and it was a genuinely relaxing experience sat by a fire stroking the dog while having breakfast. Room was clean and comfy, a bit small but for the money I can't really complain. Excellent base for going mountain biking or walking.

Review 26:Can't think of anything bad to say

Review 27:Welcoming friendly owners - lovely breakfast! In the town centre, therefore the pubs and restaurants are all within easy walking distance

Review 28:I can't think of anything that stood out as a negative. How often can you say that!?

Review 29:We only stayed for the one night and were given a warm welcome. The bedrooms were clean, tidy and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. Our high value mountain bikes were stored carefully and securely in the cellar.

Review 30:Great hospitality from the owners: They stored our bikes for us in the cellar, filled up our packs with water the next day and the rooms and breakfast were fantastic. Excellent value for money.

Review 31:Only downside was the heating wasn't on enough :( it was really cold but hey that's Wales.

Review 32:Warm friendly atmosphere created by great hosts! Really interesting people! (Not forgetting Ruby) Best breakfast ever!

Review 33:Bed to small

Review 34:Loved our stay the only thing I would say is the bed was to small for two people but otherwise fabulous , a lovely couple who run it and so helpful

Review 35:We liked everything and the owners of this property went out of their way to ensure that we we're completely looked after. We would definitely return.

Review 36:Nice little parking spot right outside the front door. Owners didn't fuss around; gave me the key after making sure I had everything I needed. Tea and coffee facilities, nice en-suite and TV and wi-if that worked perfectly. They altered breakfast times to accommodate my early departure and made excellent poached eggs on toast with good quality tea. It's an old building with its history outlined in the reading matter in the room; it has a quaint charm whilst retaining the character of a B&B set in a beautiful area. I paid £45.00 with breakfast thrown in and I think that's just about right. If I have to revisit Dolgellau I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Review 37:Having to leave!

Review 38:The owners. Warm, welcoming, informative and friendly. They really made the stay and we got some brand new stunning walks from them. The B&B itself. Beautiful, dining room had amazing fireplace. Wonderful setting for breakfast. Room - perfect size. Great furniture. Spotless Breakfast!!! Full Welsh. Excellent selection on offer Location - perfect for base to base walks and amenities.

Review 39:Only that we couldnt stay longer.

Review 40:The hosts went to a lot if trouble to make us comfortable. Location is excellent and so close to pubs and restaurants.

Review 41:Noise including speaking could be made out between floors. We tried to ensure we keep noise levels low and had no problem. Might be different if noisy people staying.

Review 42:Good welcome from friendly considerate owner. Small number of rooms Breakfast well prepared. Very cosy Welsh cottage feel. Good restaurants within easy walking distance

Review 43:There is a private parking but it is small and was a bit crowded as we arrived. Anyway after 30 minutes or so the staff, very helpful and friendly, was able to make some room for our car, so this is not really a minus on this review.

Review 44:The position of the hotel is beautiful, just on New Quay harbor. The town itself is gorgeous and the Penwig fits perfectly. Right in the center of the town, we could easily reach each facility, pub or restaurant with a very short walk. Staff was totally useful and friendly. Lovely place to stay, well worth the relatively small price.
