Reviews for Hotel Pietari Kylliäinen

Review 1:That's a very good 3star hotel, best value for money (I used advance payment option). The breakfast is of the same good 3star quality, well-compared to what you can find nearby in more rated hotels (I stayed in all of them before). Parking is wide and wi-fi is good. In family room (don't know about other types) there is an electric stove - so enjoy )

Review 2:Trifles, but still: 1) There is no cooler, but a receptionist told us that the tap water was drinkable. 2) The receptionist directed us to the bus station when we wanted to go to their local attraction, the Kerimäki Church, instead of just crossing the street and stopping the bus to Kerimäki at the bus stop. 3) The command of English of the reception staff was sometimes lamentable… 4) As it often happens in budget hotels, the towel rack (a good one, BTW) is fixed just above the toilet bowl…

Review 3:1) Location. The hotel is close to the famous castle, attractive town cathedral, train station and the town beach (a very pleasant one). A supermarket, which is open till late at night, is just across the road, as well as a bus stop, where you can take a bus to another “must” of the region, the largest Christian church in the world made of wood (the town of Kerimäki, though it is more convenient to visit it by making a 2-3 hour-long stopover when going by train from Parikkala to Savonlinna). 2) Catering. They have a good buffet breakfast in the morning, as well as a buffet meal at the midday, till 2pm. In the afternoon, the hotel also serves a kind of a set-lunch with three options, where you either choose the soup of the day (with as many helpings as you wish:)) and a salad plate (a huge one), or salad and the main dish, or all these dishes (bread, coffee/ tea are always included), - everything at very attractive prices (total, 8-13 euro). But the best buffet meal in the city is provided by a nice restaurant Paviljonki, IMHO. 3) The double bed was soft and comfortable. 4) The windows were closed (there is A/C, but we don’t like it…), but were lucky to have a small window which could be opened. 5) The bathroom is adequately equipped (and 6 towels!:)). 6) The room was nice and clean, and it even had a small additional sofa.

Review 4:Value for money, but during Opera festival that is to be expected... I guess I was lucky to get an accommodation at all.

Review 5:Friendly staff, decent location

Review 6:Poor room, reminded us of a student's residence. Two beds inopposite sides of the room made us suspect it was a single room withanother bed squeezed in. Lighting was appalling to read, you had toleave them all on. Side lights were placed on wrong wall and dim. TinyBathroom with the smallest basin I have ever seen! Did not eat atrestaurant as menu boring. Far too expensive for what is offered -taking advantage of the opera season.

Review 7:Breakfast was ok although fresh fruit limited. Parking easy. Thelocation is on a boring main street but easy to walk anywhereincluding to the opera in the castle. Good laundry - they send out andyou need to ask

Review 8:The advertisement says its only a short walk to the Stockmann, what is in the middle of the city center. But it was 45 minutes walking. So we needed to take a cab because the tram was not going that often on sunday. The cab was €16 for a one way only so with that money you could also have a better hotel in the middle of the city center. The office was also closed un sunday and when we called we needed to wait for 35 minutes outside the building. When the host came out the building to meet us she was in pyamas and was holding a lot of garbage and cleaning stuff. It was als outside our appartment. It was 15.30 so this was a bit strange.

Review 9:Nice room
