Reviews for Patio De Violette
Review 1:Booked 2 'deluxe' rooms.my room the shower ceiling was 50%covered in Mold and flaking, saggingSheetrock. The young man @the deskwas very Impatient and said the mold was not Bad.When I explained thatwe are Allergic to mold he finally took us to the only other availableroom which reeked of cigarette smoke. He argued with me saying he couldnot smell it. Considering there were no other rooms in town, we had tostay in the Mold Room. The a/c advertised was Not available and hetold us we could Only use the fan mode. The room temp dropped 1 degreein 12 hours & was hotter than outside in both rooms.
Review 2:Design of the building - sheltered seating area, simple contemporary furnishings and decor, quiet location. Good location to explore the historic and picturesque town of Uzes. Free and secure car parking on the premises.
Review 3:room far too small and bedclothes are dark and uninviting Hotel too far out of town Staff not very friendly Facilities not great would not describe as hotel but rather a motel would not stay again or recommend
Review 4:swimming pool courtyard area
Review 5:If i didn'thave a car, I would flnd it quite remote. As it was i saw Uzes, Pont du Gard and much more besides.
Review 6:Lovely hotel, very nice courtyard, great care taken of guests by the owner/staff. Good local wines! Good breakfast. Room had everything I wanted, and plenty of space to sit outside on the 1st floor patio.
Review 7:The weather was good which meant the central courtyard was a boon, very stylish and pleasant to sit and eat in. Good swimming pool and quiet surroundings. The staff and owners were exceptional, very helpful and every effort was made to please.
Review 8:They should buy better quality bed sheets and use a nicer looking bed cover. The one in our room was very sad looking.
Review 9:excellent breakfast very nice patio very nice owners
Review 10:Not ideally situated. Located in a modern residential area of Uzes around 20 minutes’ walk from the historic centre. Room was bleak. At over €100 I expected something that didn't liken itself to a budget hotel. Plain white artexed walls, no artwork in sight and plastic chair coupled with the suburban location would suggest the price for the room should be significantly lower. Also we couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi in the room. But, our main issue is linked to the type of room we were given. Only upon check out did I review the confirmation email I had received from booking.com to check what the bill would come to. At this point we realised we should have been given a "South Double Room Patio". Ours didn't have a patio. From the outside it appeared some rooms did have patios. We enquired at final check out about this with the man on reception, whom we believe to be the owner, but were categorically told that all rooms in the hotel were the same as as ours and did not have patios. We accepted the owner's comments and continued our onward journey. It was only later in the day that we reflected and once again checked the hotel website and to our amazement it clearly showed rooms with terraces. There can have been no mis-communication as both my wife and myself are fluent French speakers, having studied and lived in France. We had not demanded a refund or made any complaint, we had simply made an enquiry. To be told such a blatant lie by the owner is utterly unacceptable and totally changed our feeling towards our stay at this hotel. An apology on check out from the receptionist and acknowledgement that a mistake had been made would have sufficed but this act has angered us to the point that I will take the issue up with booking.com separately.
Review 11:Upon arrival, staff offered a very friendly welcome. Pool area and surrounding garden was very pleasant as were the communal seating areas. Well signposted from centre of town.

Review 24:The quietness, comfortable room
Review 25:The barren tarmac and lack of landscaping around the hotel. Additional breakfast charges make the small rooms quite expensive. Poor WiFi connection, worked well only in the reception area.
Review 26:Modern and functional hotel, at the city outskirts. Attractive inner court layout with space to relax and pool.
Review 27:The hotel was fair distance from town and it took awhile to find the hotel. The room was very small but ok for a couple of nights.
Review 28:The patio area was beautiful, very nice place to sit and chat. The town of Uzes was a real treat, lots of things to see and good restaurants, all in all a good stop on our travels. Easy to get to the sites in the area.
Review 29:The wifi could have been better and the air conditioning didn't appear to be working - although as it was only spring it wasn't much of a problem.
Review 30:It was in a lovely setting just on the outskirts of the town and very peaceful. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 31:The concrete walkway to first floor rooms could benefit from rubber matting to reduce the noise of late arrivals; windows would benefit from mosquito netting.
Review 32:Quiet location, attractive public spaces and rooms, extremely clean, secure parking, attentive staff.
Review 33:The hotel is quite new. The rooms are spacious and clean. Patio is very relaxing in the morning and evening. The staffs were kind and helpful. We like the place very much.
Review 34:Slightly hard to find, but overall, good value.
Review 35:The quiet location, the swimming pool and well laid out courtyard, dining and bar facilities. Uzes is a lovely little town, and is a great base from which to visit Avignon and the Pont du Gard.
Review 36:A very nice concept with very friendly and accomodating owners that makeyou feel right at home. The patio, as such, is an excellent place forbreakfast, dinner or relaxing. The kitchen is execellent and they offera nice choice of local wines at correct prices.
