Review 1：Cold. 6degs overnight. No additional blankets in room. Radiators off. No alternative heating. Equipment very basic ( hair dryer). Sadly felt like a budget stay in very nice surroundings. Such a shame. ( I was not the only person who was cold at the breakfast table. )
Review 2：Breeakfast presentation was excellent. Clearly a lot of care and preparation went into this. The setting was peaceful and secluded. I apologise for the negatives but with minor adjustments this may be resolved for other future guests.

Review 15：To my taste rooms were cold a little bit and couldn't be heated up. There were also a few intermittent issues with internet access from the room - all resolved by itself though.
Review 16：Alexandra's house is an absolutely charming place, beautifully kept with a great garden around. The host is really nice and welcoming. Continental breakfast can't be better with fresh croissants and french bread. A nearby tram takes you to Gare de Lille Flandres in just 20 minutes - very convenient.

Review 18：The hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. Lovely home made produce was served up for breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable which was important as we stayed for 5 nights. Access to local transport to visit Lille was on hand.

She had sent us veryclear directions in advance and we had no problems locating the house,which stands in very beautiful gardens - an oasis of calm away from thebusy road and tramline (which are surprisingly close, but once insidethe grounds you don't hear any noise). Each morning we had a chatover breakfast and she made several suggestions for things todo/places to see.Breakfast was an interesting range of homemade bread, brioche and cakes with homemade jams - and there seemed to be limitless amounts available! Our room (a small suite) was spacious - with a separate living area, a sofa for watching TV (although we didn't use that much) and a bookcase with a wide range of books in several languages. We were in Tourcoing for a very specific reason and the location of Jardin D'Alix was perfect for our needs although we would not have chosen the area if we hadn't been visiting our daughter.
