Reviews for Résidence Alpina Lodge
Review 1:The wear and tear of time takes it's toll, but who cares?
Review 2:Conveniently located in the centre of town a few mintus walking from the piste, friendly and helpful staff
Review 3:Wifi was very slow and we couldn't all access it.
Review 4:Location of the property. Very warm and cosy. Useful to borrow the raclette machine one evening.
Review 5:No microwave...but no big deal.
Review 6:close to supermarket, bars, restaurants, bus stop to closeby slopes abd a block or two to the ski station. We got an apt with balcony over the main street, so we got sunlight all day long, beautiful view of the mountains as well. They tidy up daily, and no cleaning charges.
Review 7:The space was a bit crammed - if the kitchen had been open space including the entrance it would have given space for four people to be together which was very difficult and inconvenient in the current set up. WiFi not functioning very well in evening.
Review 8:The staff was always very serviceminded, the cleanliness was impeccable also the daily cleaning of the flat worked well. The location was super.
Review 9:Uncomfortable beds and wifi wasn't great in our room
Review 10:Location, staff, value for money Extremely helpful all round Facilities great including ski lockers and late check out showers I would definitely come back
Review 11:Wifi virtually non-functional in the rooms, the apartment was incredibly small and the roof sloped so that neither my husband or I could stand in the kitchen or the shower without our heads touching the ceiling. the wifi barely worked and only standing by the doorway. We had a roof on the top floor, so this may have been the issue - but we were really disappointed.
Review 12:The location is good for Val d'Isere, the ski lockers are great and appropriately sized. Nice, friendly staff.
Review 13:Kitchen facilities a little limited, lack of proper oven meant we ended up eating out every night.
Review 14:Simple, clean accommodation located very conveniently for the ski lifts, as well as local shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful and let us check out late.
Review 15:It's a nice place but definitely not 4* quality. No bar and most beds are 'truckle' beds (one person sleeps in the 'drawer' under the sofa. Cosy but not 4*. But still seems could value for Val D'Isere.
Review 16:Great location - under 5 mins walk to the chair lifts and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Very friendly owner as well.
Review 17:If I had to pick on something, the boot room was cold so if they were wet it didn't dry our boots out over night but a minor issue in the grand scheme of things.
Review 18:Was expecting a budget accomodation for the price we paid, but was pleasantly suprised by the size and quality of the apartment. 5 adults, 3 children and 1 infant in our party and there was plenty of space for all. Would definitely use again.
Review 19:Apartment was very hot so we turned the heating off. We opened the window for fresh air at night - bad news as due to the apartment being situated in the main high street over shops it was very noisy with drunks late at night, and early morning bin emptying. There was also some building work being carried out on the apartment next door which was noisy.
Review 20:Good facilities, cleaned every day. Covered car parking.
Review 21:You need to go with the lower level of occupancy rate, ie 4-6 people is really 4 but once you do that the rooms are great and the location and staff are excellent... Had a great time new year 2015!!
Review 22:The location was perfect for parades, Santa visit, and events right in front of hotel. There is a grocery store a few hotels away but very easy walk. Stayed in room 402 and sat on balcony to watch all the stuff happening. It was a bit loud late in the wee hrs but only woke up once to hear it. The staff was amazing, thank you to Michelle who made our stay wonderful. Hope you are feeling better soon! We did not feel cramped at all but we were 4 and stayed in room for 5 which I would recommend. It was comfortable and clean and we would recommend a stay there for sure. Do not listen to the negative comments as this place is the best bang for your buck, so glad we stayed there. Hope to be back soon!
Review 23:For the price, excellent. ANY review moaning about WiFi needs to be ignored. Go offline you mugs!
Review 24:telly didnt work
Review 25:location amazing . ski locker really handy .Kitchen well kitted out .
Review 26:Noise late at night
Review 27:Location
Review 28:as above No reception, apartment dirty,Instead of double bed advertised - sofa bed unfolded to half bed on the floor!!
Review 29:The foam matress wasn't very comfortable, could have better kitchen utensils ( a spatulas & serving spoon would be useful
Review 30:The place is incredible and Marie and Michelle, who look after the property, are incredibly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!
Review 31:No real bed just pull out sofa.
Review 32:Staff
Review 33:Location and staff were excellent
Review 34:Bed (small and hard), very poor wifi at rooms furthest from lift
Review 35:Location, staff, kitchenette facilities, generous room size
Review 36:the wifi was difficult to use
Review 37:location was excellent
Review 38:Too basic (feels like a dorm room) and too many rules - order breakfast day before, reception closed 12-3pm and after 7pm. Would not stay again.
Review 39:The apartments with windows to the front are very noisy at night (discotheque/clubs/bars)
Review 40:Small kitchen
Review 41:Location, warmth.
Review 42:Rather small for the number of people in a 4 person appartment.. Not a 4* establissment. Kitchen very small, not a place you want to cook decent meals. No deck chairs on the balcony. Reception closed very early on arrival day. Very difficult to find garage once inside the parkingarea. No instructions provided. Lucky to have friends that arrive during reception hours, so that they could help us with parking instructions, incl code and remotecontrol for garage The whole building and the rooms rather worn out.
Review 43:Perfect location and friendly and helpfull reception ladies We were only 3 persons in a 4 people appartment. 4 persons would have been one too many.
Review 44:Our room for 3 wasn't quite what we expected! We thought we would have bunk beds and a sofa bed but we actually had a rather short single bed with a short sofa bed and a pull out mattress on the floor! Luckily 1 of our party had pulled out so the sofa didn't get slept on but us 2 made do with the poor beds we had! Other than that our lodge was great!!
Review 45:The location was great and the ski hire was literally across the road!
Review 46:Right in the centre of Val D'Isere. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Undercover parking. Good wifi. Fairly basic furniture, but comfortable.
Review 47:the staff only works until 1900 so if you have questions after that you have to wait until the next morning
Review 48:central location with a very friendly staff. Excellent place to stay if you're not looking to spend a huge amount of money but still have a great time.
Review 49:The lack of clear instructions provided to get in the car-park - they forgot to provide a map. We arrived quite late so no-one was around at reception to ask. Eventually we stumbled upon it. It really isn't 4* more like 2/3 but it's clean and serves a purpose for a cheap break. I stayed here in 1999 and the place hasn't changed so the furniture is out dated.
Review 50:Central location Wifi worked really well up on the 5th Floor and was included in the price. Reception staff were helpful.
Review 51:Welcoming,warm, friendly, good position, needed more storage and open the kitchen by having breakfast bar instead of wall. PARKING SHOULD BE FREE for Guests. Breakfast less expensive.
Review 52:The central location means that it can be noisy. Revellers fall out of the bars shouting at each other throughout the night - earplugs and tolerance advised. The ski room is unheated, which can make it hard to get your boots on in the morning.
Review 53:Alpina Lodge is very central (on main street, 2 mins from supermarkets, 5 mins from lifts) with well-furnished accommodation. Our "sleeps 2-4" flat was a good size for two, and had enough space and crockery to serve seven for dinner. The staff are tremendously helpful.
Review 54:This was pretty well what we expected. You pay high prices to stay in Val d'Isere and this accommodation was all about location.
Review 55:As a family of five, it is hard to find chalet type accommodation for exclusive use. This chalet (le petit Chevril) has the comfort of a chalet but in the form of self-catering. We were on the main street in the centre of Val so supermarkets, ski hire and access to the slopes (via the free bus) was easy. The chalet was traditional inside with an open fire and three en-suite bedrooms. When we had a couple of minor issues and had to contact the staff at the Alpina Lodge, they reacted very promptly.
Review 56:This apartment was sold as a 6 adult apartment. We had 5 in and it was tiny. The beds were tiny which is no good when I'm 5ft 10 and my husband 6ft 3! Also the rooms were very stuffy. Kitchen was also very small and did not have any cleaning equipment or basics on arrival (bread, milk ect). I would not stay again!!
Review 57:Nothing
Review 58:Staff were friendly, helpful and reliable. All requests answered (late check-in)...
Review 59:No microwave.
Review 60:Very charming and cosy place. Good discount in ski equipament rental.
Review 61:Really good staff, very friendly and organised
Review 62:Great place, town center
Review 63:Friendliness of staff. Location and all round suitability for our trip
Review 64:The apartments are small relative to the number of guests they advise can stay there.
Review 65:Location & staff
Review 66:Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location and good value for money
Review 67:Very friendly staff, wonderful location, comfortable accomodation! we will go back soon, thanks so much for a great stay.
Review 68:VERY noisy, poor furniture, ridiculous price/quality ratio, two star at the best not four. Never to recommend.
Review 69:Best location,very central
Review 70:Ewerything
