Reviews for Summer Hotel Tott

Review 1:Great location near the waterfront and in the center of the city. Clean, light and airy room. Could open the window. Fantastic breakfast. Good value for money.

Review 2:Tired hotel in great need of restoration.

Review 3:Convinient location close to harbour, walking distance to the opera at the castle. Possible to park the car at parking lot on opposite side of the street. Breakfast very good.

Review 4:High price compared to the value. Our small room was on the second floor, window facing street. It was a sleepless night with no air con in the room, street noise through open window and light room.

Review 5:Location was good. Breakfast was ok.

Review 6:The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The location is good half a way the castle, a few steps from the market place. My room had a separate bedroom - spacious for one person and it was impeccable clean. Breakfest was rich and fresh. Will certainly recommend the Tott for my friends.

Review 7:This hotel really represented the worst value for us. We paid far more than is typical for a hotel room of this class. Our first room had a bad odour, so we were given another room, which was larger and on a lower floor. Unfortunately there was noise from both the road outside the room, and also from the refrigerator in the room, which is right next to the bed. The fridge should be in a cabinet across the room, as it's very noisy while it's running. Unfortunately, the bad odour problem wasn't limited to the original room we booked either. The stairs between the lobby and the second floor stunk really bad. We thought it would be a shortcut, but unfortunately the smell was so bad that it made it worth waiting for the one slow elevator. See other comments regarding the elevator doors shutting quickly. Not a huge issue for us, but a possible hazard for others and something that should be fixed. The booking stated that there should be a sofa in the room, and there was no sofa. Not a big problem for us either, but also not quite accurate. Finally, considering the cost we paid, you'd expect free Wi-Fi in the rooms. Overall, we expected at least a standard level of cleanliness and much better value considering the price. We felt we paid twice as much as is typical for a room in this class.

Review 8:Location was good, right next to the harbour and a short walk to the castle. Room was spacious.

Review 9:Filthy toilets on the ground floor. A lot of traffic and people noise and very thin curtains.

Review 10:Breakfast. Large and sunny room.

Review 11:Friendly staff and locaation

Review 12:The beds were narrow and uncomfortables

Review 13:Location and breakfast

Review 14:Location, atmosphere in hotel, good ratio quality to price

Review 15:very very little room very very bad beds no air conditionning no safe very expensive hotel

Review 16:not far from the castle by walk nice breakfast

Review 17:All hotels are quite too expensive at "opera time" in Savonlinna

Review 18:Very good breakfast, excellent location near harbour

Review 19:the worst bed mattress in the world

Review 20:location

Review 21:Street noise(traffic).

Review 22:Good breakfast. Parking convenient. Great location.

Review 23:Paying a room rate more appropriate for a better hotel. Rate pushed up due to opera festival

Review 24:Proximity to opera festival venues, centre of town

Review 25:Good location, friendly staff.

Review 26:No wlan in the room but a very helpful young man fixed the internet contact so even that problem was solved.

Review 27:A nice practical apartment with a great view over the lake. A good place to stay for a week.

Review 28:There is not much light in the rooms. No ceiling lights. No Russian TV channels. When windows are open you hear noise of the cars in the street.

Review 29:Rooms are big and clean. Close to the castle.

Review 30:Lamps in the room were bedside only. The price is a bit high for us, butit's usual for local hotels as far as I understand.

Review 31:It was very comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Buffet breakfast wastasty, substantial and multifarious. The location is good - in the citycenter with a view down the bay, not far from the market square, cafesand restaurants.

Review 32:Hot, hot, hot. No A/C, windows cannot be fully opened. Parking solution quite strange, we took 'wrong' plot even if marked with hotel name, but fortunately reception lady accepted the change.

Review 33:We had a real two-rooms apartment, lots of space, very clean. Can be good for a bigger family for a longer stay. Breakfast was good, excellent location for both city tour as well as opera festival guests. Reasonably priced comparing to other accommodations in Savonlinna.

Review 34:The door to the elevator closed too fast and forcefully. There was not a safety feature to stop the elevator from closing on guests. A lady who entered the elevator after us got hit by the doors simply because we pushed the button for our floor.

Review 35:The gluten-free choices for breakfast were appreciated. We found free parking on the street. We were able to walk everywhere.

Review 36:Our room was very hot and faced the street so when we opened the window to cool it off we had to put up with the street noise all night. The Curtains were very thin and did not allow us to block out the daylight which seemed to last all Night.

Review 37:We loved the town of Savonlinna and the hotel was well located. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was great

Review 38:Without having an air-condition,the room was pretty warm. Yet tolerable with a fan.

Review 39:Very good location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, budget-friendly, big fridge :)

Review 40:A great breakfast and short walk to the castle

Review 41:No night watcher and I couldn't use half of the lights available in the room

Review 42:The rather good comfort and the location

Review 43:Room is stuffy, even with the window open - no a/c.

Review 44:Perfect location. Excellent breakfast

Review 45:Not at all air conditioning. No Wi-fi.

Review 46:Good location.

Review 47:Lack of air-conditioning. The rooms are always hot in summer.

Review 48:Good location, almost everything one needs for a short stay is available

Review 49:rates are very high for 2 stars hotel

Review 50:Great location, good breakfast, parking place
