Reviews for Le Dahu Hotels-Chalets de Tradition
Review 1:The hotel fails to provide bottled water, tea, coffee or a kettle within its rooms which we feel is reasonable to expect within a supposedly 4 star establishment. The food was nice but in our opinion was attempting to be fine dining which we feel does not complement the recreational nature of the location or what Morzine has to offer. Extremely disappointed that the hotel is not, in our opinion fully transparent; it discreetly hides within the small print the additional cost of extras - sauna, steam and suchlike (surely it is reasonable to have these included or at least charge a little extra from the outset).
Review 2:The hotel was warm and clean.
Review 3:The hotel is very comfortable and cosy. There are a lot of different places to sit and relax after a days skiiing. I particularly liked the fact that you could eat excellent food in the more informal setting of the excellent bar. We had a really enjoyable stay there.
Review 4:Useless housekeeping staff. Ignored do no disturb sign, went in our room on numours occasions without our permission. Refuse to change bedding when the 'change sheet' card was placed on bed. Refused to replenish amenities. Didn't even bother to hoover the floor! Very disappointing. Ventilation in toilet is very poor. No tea or coffee making facilities.
Review 5:Friendly and helpful reception and bar staff. Great location, overlook the valley and short walk to town centre and super Morzine lift.
Review 6:Breakfast manager started not friendly or helpful.
Review 7:Really lovely location, comfortable. Pool and jacuzzi excellent. Most staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 8:Great location, comfortable, super-friendly staff, cozy bar, bike wash and storage area. Very nice place to stay for a MTB holiday. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
Review 9:Breakfast was quite pricey, but still a really good variation to start the day.
Review 10:Staff were excellent and friendly, ready to help at any time. Outside pool was perfect temperature.
Review 11:A fan in the room would have been a great help as it was very hot at night.
Review 12:The staff were fantastic, especially Maud and Audrey - nothing was too much trouble and they were always smiling!
Review 13:We are English so would of liked a kettle in the room for a cuppa but alas no kettle. Breakfast was not worth it.
Review 14:Great Hotel, close enough to town to walk in, far enough out to be peaceful at night. Comfy, great views, nice staff, accommodating.
Review 15:The lady on reception seemed to find most things an inconvenience but the rest of the staff made up for this lack of hospitality many times over.
Review 16:facilities and hotel amenities really good. The massage was the best sports massage I've ever had and completely cured my aching legs in an hour. the hotel owner was extremely helpful and so was the lady in the spa.
Review 17:Nothing... except those needing tea may take a while to realise it's something you have to order but in fact room service is lovely or tea in the lovely lounge areas is a great alternative to a kettle in the room...
Review 18:A short walk to the Port du Soleil lift (or a courtesy bus if you like); this traditional, comfortable, family run hotel has a lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff, lovely breakfasts, log fires and quiet but not stuffy atmosphere at a really fair price. We usually stay in chalets and were worried a hotel would not suit us but actually I'd return happily here every season.
Review 19:The wifi was patchy at best and only catered for one device per room booked - seems stingy in this day and age. The hot-tub (a must for aching legs after a day's boarding) was lukewarm and while I understand that the small steam rooms and sauna might need booked in high season it wasn't particularly clear what you were booking. Also it was a bit pricey...but that's a personal observation
Review 20:The hotel was beautifully furnished with a really eclectic savoyard fusion. The room was quiet and spacious and the bar and staff courteous, attentive and well stocked.
Review 21:Only criticism is that 'hot' water for breakfast tea was tepid both mornings.
Review 22:Very helpful and pleasant staff in a hotel in a good location with great views over Morzine.
Review 23:Additionally charges for the extra wifi connection (only one device covered per room). Hot breakfast offering was limited and was a bit expensive.
Review 24:Staff were very helpful. Cleanliness was excellent. Complimentary shuttle during daytime hrs.
Review 25:The pillows are a little uncomfortable and the breakfast is a little pricey but since the hotel is a little out of town, you're kind of over a barrel.
Review 26:The hot tub was great as was the positioning.
Review 27:Accommodation was superb! Staff very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Facilities and location great - stay here and have an amazing holiday!
Review 28:Great location, Helpful and friendly staff, room with a view, comfortable lounge area, super breakfast. Everything really! Whilst not a cheap option, the Dahu is great value for money.
Review 29:The breakfast is nice but not worth the hefty price tag.
Review 30:Everything was extremely comfortable and convenient. It was great to have such a flexible transfer services to the lifts and we never had to wait. We enjoyed a privilege room with mountain view. The jacuzzi was the perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes, and the bar with log fire was a lovely way to start the evening.
Review 31:Our only issue is that we needed to get a taxi in the evening of the night we were staying there and the people on duty were not very helpful. They did give us a number but told us we should have realised that we had to book it earlier - which wasn't much help at that point!
Review 32:The room was very comfortable, the bar was very nice and the breakfast was fantastic.
Review 33:Bit of a steep walk back from the village - but then discovered the free bus! Had hoped they would have remembered that it was my husband's 60th and maybe left a drink in the room. Breakfast very costly at €18 if you don't eat much!
Review 34:Comfort of bed was excellent, as was the pool. Reception staff excellent. Although there are no coffee making facilities, hot water arrived in minutes. Excellent views.
Review 35:Slightly up from town but hotel bus service to ski school gondola and and easy walk to Super Morzine.
Review 36:Nice rooms. Ours would take 2 children on big bunks which folded away for use as just a double. Very friendly staff and a super friendly owner
Review 37:The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and comfy, with great facilities! Staff is so genuine, nice and helpful, it makes you feel like you're at home. Although is a bit expensive, it's totally worth it!
Review 38:Internet was patchy and pool a little small - but we were there for skiing not the spa. Bathroom was a little dated and more on the basic side.
Review 39:Fabulous views of Morzine (room 305). Breakfast was excellent (albeit a little pricey at 18 euros each). We received a very warm welcome from the owner who drove us in minibus to bubble in town to get to Alvoriaz. Helpful frequent shuttle service.
Review 40:Was a little pricy but I could get an Executive style room which was great.
Review 41:Very comfortable hotel with attentive staff. Nice public areas with homely couches and chalet style furnishings. Wood stoves burning, good whiskies! ;) Close to centre of town across the bridge and ideally placed for cable car.
Review 42:No International TV channels - but this is minor.
Review 43:Frindly staff, range of facilities, cleanliness, atmosphere, shuttle service, good value, well appointed rooms, spa etc.
Review 44:Bath towels and robes too small - and we are only size 14!
Review 45:Lovely views from the room. Great outdoor and indoor pools. Big choice for breakfast. Whole hotel very clean.
Review 46:The cold, damp, smelly room. The rude attitude of the female receptionist and her blatant indifference. Poor, or no wifi reception. No complimentary tea coffee tray. No flexibility to suit guests needs. They refused us a meal in an empty restaurant after a long journey on arrival because we didn't book, and in spite of having a tired hungry 3 year old with us - the receptionist disinterestedly directed us to the bar for snacks in stead ... Inappropriate and unbelievably bad treatment !! No porterage plus no one in reception during certain hours. No ventilation in the bathroom or toilet causing dampness. No heating when the weather turned chilly which didn't help the dampness and the musty smell. The uncomfortable hard, too small beds and the cheap, lumpy, bouncy big pillows. No view. Expensive restaurant - evening meal was poor value for money. The bewildering notion that this hotel has 4star status - how is this possible? The list is endless!
Review 47:Breakfast Swimming pool Location
Review 48:Nothing
Review 49:The ambiance of the whole hotel, lovely well maintained gardens and pool area, all very well looked after. The staff were most helpful and friendly and wanted everyone to enjoy their holiday.
Review 50:Le Dahu is gorgeous; immaculately clean, very helpful and efficient staff and a lovely all-round ambiance. The breakfast is varied and tasty and the food in the restaurant in the evening is delicious- definitely worth booking a table for. Benoit the owner is delightful, so charming and so knowledgable about Morzine having grown up there. Petra the masseuse is also worth booking with for a massage- she's fab! Le Dahu is a gorgeous haven of relaxation in a great spot with beautiful views.
Review 51:Only slightly marred at checkout where the reception lady was very curt.
Review 52:Very pretty hotel with pine lined rooms .We were there in summer and the price was very good value. The staff couldn't have been more helpful the evening we arrived.
Review 53:extra fee for sauna...
Review 54:Great for a romantic weekend or holidays. Massage is too good here, so book it in advance! Breakfast is various and delicious. Smiling and helpful reception. What elase???
Review 55:Only minor things but the bath towels are very small and the dinner menudid not change much even though it was of a high standard.
Review 56:Very comfortable, cosy, welcoming hotel slightly higher than some solots of lovely evening sunshine. Very nice owner and staff and verygood food and pretty gardens. Excellent breakfasts...Perfect, wewill be back.
Review 57:No English speaking channels on the TV. No hair dryer in room.
Review 58:Been going to Morzine for many years. Our stay at Le Dahl was a first and won't be our last. Great location with great views! Excellent food and welcoming staff.
Review 59:The only thing I would love to change is the pillows a bit too big for me
Review 60:I liked the family oriented atmosphere with the high level of attention to details fo r design, food, comfort , planning of activities ,facilities and great location . The value of this hotel was incredible .I will definitely go back . Monique

Review 65:Very friendly, helpful staff
Review 66:Friendly staff, view, swimming pool, garden and breakfast.
Review 67:Very well looked after. Beautiful views from room & pool.
Review 68:No half board option for a young family.
Review 69:Friendly staff with a shuttle service into Morzine, great for young children and tired skiers!
Review 70:Extremely expensive for what they offer. Cold rooms
Review 71:Comfortable bed
Review 72:our room was excellent, the staff were very helpful and the lounge area inviting
Review 73:hotel is lovely but quite a way from the slopes
Review 74:Walking over to the village centre across the suspension bridge. I suffer from vertico!
Review 75:Can complain on any issue
Review 76:Location of hotel, staff friendly, and quite location.
Review 77:nothing at all
Review 78:The staff, the food, the room, the sauna, the pool, the hot tub, the very smiley owner... pretty much everything
Review 79:Location for going out
Review 80:Facitities
Review 81:Great hotel in good location. Liked the attention to detail throughout the hotel. Staff that we came into contact with were great.
Review 82:Nothing.

Review 89:unable to connect to wifi

Review 91:Location. Very friendly staff and warm welcome. Excellent breakfast. Very comfortable.
Review 92:very friendly arrival/reception process, excellent food and accommodation. 100% recommended and will stay again
Review 93:Nothing. Breakfast is good but expensive.
Review 94:Friendly family run hotel. Lovely owner and staff. Smart traditional interior and architecture. Large rooms and great view. Excellent breakfast.
Review 95:The friendly staff and family owned nature of the hotel, which translated into professional and very helpful service and the willingness to go out of the way to help make your visit to Morzine an enjoyable one.
Review 96:I would have liked the jacuzzi a bit warmer. The walls of the room were thin and we could hear the noise of next door's bathroom/shower. The dinner was lovely though expensive
Review 97:The room was very comfortable and had elegant decor. Wifi worked after a few tries
Review 98:You cannot see video via USB on the TV. No BBC or Deutsche Welle, other English (at least) channels. TV is useless for those who does not know French. Price for single tradition is not clear from the site, as a result you pay the highest price.
Review 99:The service was really good. The owner was nice and ready to help. Breakfasts were great.
Review 100:The only dinner options are the fine dining restaurant (closed on Tuesdays), and it's just far enough away from the ski lifts to make it an issue. And oh yeah, it sure ain't cheap....
Review 101:It's definitely an "up-market" hotel, and everything they do, they do very well and with a smile. Excellent breakfast with a panoramic view of the town and slopes is a cracking start to the day.
Review 102:The chef is clearly excellent and the dinner menu is crafted with love and attention to detail, but the portion size is insufficient for a grown man after a long day on the slopes. Additional vegetables would be welcome!
Review 103:The bedroom was spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was top quality, with a wide variety of tasty and nutritious options.
Review 104:Would have been helpful to have been told how the wifi worked when we arrived. It would have saved time. Also, the bed setup is a whole wooden built-in creation, but instead of night stands, there are closets. Things you want next to the bed have to therefore sit on the floor. Minor complaints tho!!
Review 105:Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful bar with panoramic view and warm fire. Easy walk into centre of town across the bridge.
Review 106:If you are looking for somewhere right "in" Morzine this is not next to the main ski lifts in Morzine but it is only a 10 minute walk away.
Review 107:We shared a room for four people and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. The whole hotel was lovely and clean, the reception staff was exceptionally helpful and the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 108:An almost faultless experience in every respect - the standards of service, food and accommodation are first class. Despite some negative comment about the distance to the ski lift, it is only a very short walk with ski and boot storage right next door to the lift and a shuttle service for those who want to use it. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to families or couples
Review 109:very few choices at dinner but very good
Review 110:With the exception of the wifi everything was charged
Review 111:The general location of the hotel
Review 112:Nothing. breakfast is not cheap
Review 113:Great rooms. Beautiful lounge. Great food. Relaxed atmosphere
Review 114:Slowish wifi
Review 115:Friendly attentive staff
Review 116:Quite expensive
Review 117:Very helpful staff!
Review 118:A little expensive
Review 119:Cosy room with comfortable beds. Good facilities in quiet location

Review 121:Great rooms, friendly and helpful staff all round.
Review 122:not much, the rooms are a bit warm for my taste
Review 123:the whole ambiance is good and the service very friendly and efficient
