Reviews for Hotel Altitude
Review 1:A little awkward to find by car initially, but fine subsequently and very good car parking facilities.
Review 2:Very pretty chalet style hotel. Close to all the village amenities but sufficiently away from any noise. (Not that there was much). Very pleasant, young reception staff. Fabulous views from the balcony.
Review 3:the images on the website are a bit misleading, they create the idea of a smart boutique hotel [especially the pool and wellness]
Review 4:central location, nice staff and tasty nice breakfast with some local items
Review 5:A bit of walk into town. Expensive but not I suppose for val d' isere. We're just not used to France ski resorts
Review 6:Position super. Staff helpful. Would def stay again
Review 7:A minor point: the hotel accepts pets (which is fine, in principle) - and we had a noisy dog in the next bedroom for one night.
Review 8:Friendly staff, great location (effectively ski in, ski out and adjacent to both nursery lifts and Olympique telecabins). Plentiful breakfast and a good dinner on the night we ate in. We had a very spacious room, with a large balcony overlooking the village.
Review 9:Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Nicolas the owner was always checking everything was ok for you. Looking forward to returning next year for sure. Brilliant location
Review 10:Really uncomfortable bed, roll together problem!
Review 11:Staff were great, really helpful. Clean, felt like alpine lodge with loads of wood interiors but modern bathroom fittings. Next to cable car lift, (which was free for us in August)
Review 12:Location
Review 13:Great hotel with excellent staff. Very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Brilliant location as well
Review 14:- Ideally situated for Val - Good facilities - Friendly staff
Review 15:balance of price and quality of hotel room partially need for renovation
Review 16:friendlyness of staff Quality of Food / very good dinner Hotel Location close to the ski piste
Review 17:The hotel is in need of a "facelift", many walls are chipped/scratched, fixtures are falling apart. The heat was either too hot or too cold. The sauna is old and smelly, the fitness room virtually non-existent. The ski boot warmers did not work properly in the ski room. I paid a lot of money given that I was there during the half-term break and I do not believe it was worth it. Would not stay there again.
Review 18:Great location right on the slopes. Nice breakfast. Friendly manager (Nicolas), always willing to help.
Review 19:With a little effort, could be so easily improved: refreshing rooms and heating, upgrading gym and updating ground floor common toilets.
Review 20:Perfect ski-in, ski-out location. Within easy walking distance to restos and shops yet sufficiently removed from the bar-crawling scene. Very helpful and sympa staff. Competent breakfast and exquisite dinner at the hotel's own restaurant.
Review 21:To access the spa you have to cross the restaurant room.
Review 22:We liked the location of the hotel, really close to the ski lifts and in a quiet area. Also really enjoyed the big cosy room.
Review 23:Great hotel - the front desk was extremely helpful and spoke English well. Great location - minutes to center of town. Pool was excellent. Would suggest this hotel to family and friends!!
Review 24:The breakfast selection can be improved but otherwise there was nothing we disliked.
Review 25:The hotel position is superb for skiing. The staff are friendly and the young manager Nicholas is very concerned for your welfare. I would recommend this hotel.
Review 26:Wifi only in public bar area and not in room No tea/coffee making facilities in room Bar area near to room and so could be noisy when busy
Review 27:Lovely comfortable room and bed Very friendly staff with excellent customer service Location next to the ski slopes
Review 28:The Internet doesn't work and drops out every few mins making it impossible to use. There were many frustrated people with phones and laptops in the lobby! The beds need replacing as have been well used! The breakfast is average, it wouldn't take much for them to invest in a self service coffee machine to get proper coffee in the morning. We didn't try dinner as is a set three course meal (like something out of the 70's and outdated) poor choice. The hotel could be so much better with a little more investment to bring it up to a more modern standard.
Review 29:Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great for ski lifts
Review 30:Sauna
Review 31:Very friendly personnel. Very near to the center of the village and to the slopes. Good value for money
Review 32:Great management Lovely lounge room Excellent food
