Reviews for Ffynnon
Review 1:Staff and Management were very friendly and took time out to introduce themselves and offer any help required. The hotel was comfortable, peaceful, relaxing and charming.
Review 2:check in was between 4-6 although could arrive later if you informed them. Access to the property was very narrow, and we had dificulty finding the place.
Review 3:The quality of accomodation, beds, lounge dining area was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful. Absolutely spotlessly clean.
Review 4:only criticism is that toiletries are placed out of reach from the bath -this can be easily remedied and we passed this tip on to the owners
Review 5:Quirky, interesting, gorgeous decor, comfy superking bed, this was a very comfortable one night stay -pillows changed on request with no problems
Review 6:nothing
Review 7:We had a beautifully decorated bedroom (Aimee) with a wonderful spa bath which was a great perk after climbing Cadet Idris! Breakfast was high quality with a nice menu - I had potato cakes with smoked salmon on day 1 and pancakes on day 2. Unfortunately as we left early the 3rd morning, we missed breakfast on day 3. This guesthouse is less than 5 minutes walk from the town centre where there are some lovely restaurants.
Review 8:Getting onto the drive at the hotel very tricky due to the narrowness of the roads outside of the property. It would help if the hotel filled in a little divot by the gate and levelled it off making it a lot easier to reverse in through the gate. The cooked breakfast could have been a bit more generous for the price of the rooms.
Review 9:Beautiful décor and interior. Large clean spacious room. Friendly staff. Ideal location for the town centre. I liked the idea of a trust bar and the downstairs lounge was extremely snug and comfy.
Review 10:Only that no milk was left in room for teas and coffees.
Review 11:The best thing about this hotel was that it felt very homely. The bathroom was like a spa experience in itself with a huge freestanding bath & waterfall shower. The Hazel room's decor was refreshing on the senses too.
Review 12:We arrived back at Ffynnon at around 10 oclock after our meal and found our room to be freezing cold even though the heating was on as was the wall heater which we turned up full, we were frozen all night long as the duvet didnt seem to be very warm at all. The tv in the room was very small for the size of the room and difficult to see properly from the bed. The breakfasts although delicious were very small.
Review 13:My huband and i stayed at Ffynnon for one night as a birthday treat for me. The staff were wonderful and very helpful, they booked a table for us at a local restaurant and gave us a 20% off voucher for our meal too. The room we stayed in was Sydney it was immaculate, bed was very comfy.
Review 14:There was nothing we didn't like about Ffynnon.
Review 15:We had a wonderful time at this delightful B&B. The decor was beautiful & our room was very comfortable. Steve, the owner couldn't have been more helpful offering us a cup of tea & cake on arrival & giving us advice about where to eat in the evening. We were just sorry we couldn't stay longer.
Review 16:We were charged a £50 cleaning fee after knocking over a small cup of instant coffee in the room. This coffee was provided in the room and came straight out of the carpet. Quite an excessive fee, we felt.
Review 17:Great facilities, nice selection of local beers and chocolate, a warm welcome.
Review 18:Only negative I can think of has nothing to do with Ffynnon itself...Very narrow access roads to get to the hotel, but this is typical of Dolgellau. Maybe not so suitable for people of limited mobility?
Review 19:Attention to detail Beautiful traditional features of the house married with mod cons without detracting from either. Butler's pantry for wider range of self serve refreshments. Interesting art-work Lovely breakfasts
Review 20:Contemporary style with character
Review 21:This boutique B&B is like a home away from home. Friendly welcome, great recommendations and fantastic location
Review 22:Nothing

Review 26:TV in the room was on the small side
Review 27:Everything was excellent
Review 28:Definitely coming back to this magic place!
Review 29:Nothing I can think of. The location of the property might be a problem for the less able person as it is set in a hillside up very narrow steep lanes.
Review 30:An old rectory, with all rooms beautifully and individually decorated. Spotlessly clean with all needs catered for. Staff friendly and helpful and a breakfast to set you up for the day. What more could you want!
Review 31:In the oriental style room the wardrobe was too small to enable clothers to be hung properly. Also the mirror was too small to be able to sit comfortably to use practically.
Review 32:Beautiful hotel with character and individuality. Everything about our stay was excellent.
Review 33:One staff member wasn't flexible about the breakfast menu. Rather than order and waste most of the plate, I didn't order cooked meals at all. What a shame!
Review 34:Fantastic hosts and wonderful facilities
Review 35:The narrow winding lanes leading to Fynnon wouldn't be a problem ifit wasn't for fast drivers, but we encountered two in our weekendthere, so care needs to be taken.
Review 36:It felt relaxed and lovely on the eye, with real care taken in thechoice of furnishings to create a beautifully ambient space. The servicewas professional, friendly and very helpful. The beds were so cosy, withbeautiful linen, and our room has lovely views of the spectacularcountryside surrounding Fynnon. The whole experience was a genuinetreat, and everything was absolutely lovely.
Review 37:The weather. But thats not their fault. Ffynnon is faultless and deserving of all acholades.
