Reviews for Best Western Castel 'Provence
Review 1:We like everything about our stay. Maybe the room was on the small side, but it was extremely comfortable with a lovely balcony.
Review 2:The staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The wifi was perfect.....thank you!
Review 3:Beautiful garden and the outside breakfast dining area was particularly pretty. The close proximity to Valbonne was a real bonus because we didn't realise it was such a famously picturesque town.
Review 4:only breakfast served bar was really a sideboard with old drinks in it needs a snack bar for daytime meals and drinks to justify its 3 star rating toilet unbelievably small
Review 5:location peace and quite in pool area
Review 6:The 1st room they offered my children had a horrible smell. Fortunately, we had requested for an extra bed for one of the rooms well before we arrived. So they moved us to a triple room, but the air-conditioning didn't work. The bathrooms are old, grose, and dated. The toilet wouldn't flush properly and bathrooms should be renovated.
Review 7:Staff, good directions given, helpfulness
Review 8:Avoid room on ground floor as impossible to leave window open at night (sliding patio doors), making room too hot (airco only works in summer!). Milk at breakfast was sour both days.
Review 9:Nice looking hotel, good parking, good bed, clean, swimming pool, friendly staff.
Review 10:I think the room was a bit small but it was only a short stay so it didn't really matter so much. The bathroom fittings were a bit outdated but everything worked well. Plenty of hot water and beauty products are readily available. The bathroom towels were a bit hard and dry and it would of been nice if they were softer.
Review 11:The hotel is a great location and very accessible to Mougins Village and Valbonne which both have a great selection of restaurants and cafes. There is also a restaurant next door to the hotel which is so convenient if you just want to relax and park the car for the evening! Room service is available too. I chose a prestige room which had a balcony and a nice view of the mountains. It was peaceful and quiet and so I slept well. I think the variety of pricing for rooms is great. Would of love to have stayed longer. The staff were friendly yet professional and helpful. There is a pool and sauna. Breakfast is served overlooking the gardens it is quite cosy! The food selection was good with a huge variety of options.
Review 12:We stayed in a room on the ground floor, with a terrace facing the garden, like all other rooms on the same floor. One night, the guests next door decided to chat and drink in their terrace after 2 am. I had to ask the reception to intervene. Additionally, one day a guest managed to enter our room using her key while we were in the room, which made me feel insecure.
Review 13:It is very easy to get to the hotel and also, to go to the other villages nearby. Room decoration is nice.
Review 14:Pool was busy, so not enough sun beds for pool, needed to ask for sugar as it was not topped up a couple of times.
Review 15:Quietness of the location, free car park, lovely room with Air conditioning and mini bar, comfy bed with extra pillows, nice patio area with table and chairs, fair size bathroom with selection of toiletries.
Review 16:Screaming children in the pool. Small room. No bar or option to buy a sandwich or bag of crisps. Only a B&B facility. Coffee machine is not fast enough for all the breakfasters.
Review 17:Very comfortable bed, and good breakfast buffet. The location near Valbonne and Mougins and Opio etc is great. Poolside loungers wonderful.
Review 18:The convenience to Valbonne
Review 19:The staff were friendly and the breakfast had great variety.
Review 20:We thought that it had a bar but it didn't.
Review 21:Quiet location.
Review 22:Maybe room a bit too small
Review 23:Clean room, good location, great breakfast
Review 24:Very small room...Furniture .
Review 25:Friendly staff. Green lawns outside window. Excellent breakfast.
Review 26:Nothing.w
Review 27:Location. Swimming pool and proximity to Valbonne Town
Review 28:Reception staff should be trained to stand up and welcome guests with a pleasant smile rather than turning away from their computer with a weary expression. However, after a week (and we speak French) they got to know us and were helpful and sweet. But smiles are important.
Review 29:The location. Good Continental breakfast in the conservatory surrounded by green lawns. Quiet (we were there in March) and well run.
Review 30:at our arrival the room we got was NOT the booked category , it was necessary to insist on changing the room; rooms 01 and 02 are very loud as they are outside of the hotel; the staff made their smoking brake in front of these rooms
Review 31:after changing the room, the quality of the room including balcony etc was very good; hotel is located perfectly between the cote d'azur metropoles
Review 32:No lift - to get baggage upstairs. Tennis court needs resurfacing. No central bar area.
Review 33:Good room, quiet comfortable hotel, good pool and sunbathing area, close to coast and local villages
Review 34:The air-con didn't work in one or two rooms - that being said, when our concerns were raised, we were moved to better (upgraded) rooms).
Review 35:Great base camp location on the outskirts of Valbonne. The reception staff make this make work - incredibly helpful and ken to ensure that the stay is as good as you hope. Well done
Review 36:The chair covers the swimming pool need urgently to be replaced.
Review 37:Great location, compact but nice room, friendly staff, excellentspacious parking, good breakfast, very reasonable price for area (but wewere out of season).
Review 38:Rooms somewhat faded, our room too small for two people, very poor plumbing, and inadequate shower. Overnight staff not attentive.
Review 39:Good position, lovely surroundings, charming bijou hotel.
Review 40:Disorganised reception and lack of staff interest Poor quality of towels Some services (ie pool-side snack bar & room service menu unavailable) Expensive breakfast (poor value at £12 per head - 15 Euros)
Review 41:Situation, cleanliness and free parking
Review 42:The room was small compared to the price. The airconditioning did not work and the doorhandel was loose. The staff was not really friendly, and breakfast was a mess, everything was finished and there was no space... A pitty, because the hotel looks very nice and the location is good.
Review 43:The swimmingpool was very nice.
Review 44:No elevator or porter to assist with luggage. No apparent bar so had torely on reception for cool drinks.
Review 45:Good breakfast and lunch menu at the poolside. We had 1st floor roomnext to pool which was really convenient.
Review 46:The price

Review 54:Very small room and terrible smell.
Review 55:Pool was great. Good breakfast.
Review 56:Completely to be renovated, old smelly upholstery and toilets.
Review 57:Stunning view, quiet and relaxing, countryside located. Nice pool as a plus.
