Reviews for Shallowdale House
Review 1:I wish we were staying longer!
Review 2:Beautiful view, delicious breakfast (Anton makes great cakes!), helpful hosts who know the area very well, and huge, super clean and very well-decorated rooms! We were lucky to get there in heather season, so everything was even more gorgeous. And don't forget to ask Phillip & Anton about food recommendations. There are some very good pub/restaurants around.
Review 3:Fantastic views, house has lovely large rooms with picture windows rooms full of beautiful items Don"t miss the evening meals which are outstandingly good. Lovely hosts.
Review 4:Wine list very expensive, house wine (by the glass) expensive but good - though for my palate not ideal to go with the food we had.
Review 5:Exquisitely furnished huge sitting room plus a delightful smaller one with a huge range of art books. Large bedrooms with outstanding views, large and varied grounds and gardens.
Review 6:This was just personal preference but we prefer duvets on our bed and find blankets quite uncomfortable. Also, we would prefer bath sheets to bath towels, but this is a minor detail. The duvets however would make a big difference as it does affect sleep quality
Review 7:Our first visit but certainly not our last. Shallowdale was all we hoped it would be but the food surpassed our expectations. It was a culinary delight. So peaceful and breakfasts superb too.
