Reviews for CGH Résidences & Spas Kalinda
Review 1:- Ski bus doens't follow schedule and does not go frequently enough! - The wellness/ spa is very busy (especially between 17:00-19:00) and used by families with small children even though this is not permitted. This makes the spa less attractive for people that look for relaxation. Might be an idea to create a special hour for families. This must be monitored obviously.. - Cleaning policy is overly strict (with fines for pretty much everything).
Review 2:- Modern apartments with all facilities you need. - Location next to gondel lift. However, pretty far from Tignes centre.
Review 3:Opening (particularly closing) hours of the wellness. Complicated access to wifi -- weird online forms poorly working on a mobile phone.
Review 4:Wellness is very nice including whirlpools, steam bath, children's pool etc.
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:These are very comfortable apartments with excellent leisure facilities. The pool, sauna and steam room are all lovely. The receptionists and staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms have everything you could want. We stayed here in July and there were some fantastic walks from the hotel and there is a free bus to Tignes la Lac although it isn't very frequent. Good supermarket and bakery close to the hotel.
Review 7:Nowhere open until 4pm so couldn't get a coffee or snack when we arrived at 2pm. Apartment not ready until 5pm. No sharp knife for cooking.
Review 8:Space with 3 good size bedrooms for 3 couples. Great spa facilities, but not in same building.
Review 9:No night life - everything shut at 8pm. We stayed during the Easter holidays so it may be more lively earlier on.
Review 10:The hotel was lovely and had a great swimming pool and steam rooms etc. Free bus shuttles every half hour to LeLac and Val Claret. Free green runs for beginners and chairlift down to Les Brevieres. Large supermarket next door. The little church, much of it reclaimed when they flooded the valley for the nearby hydroelectric dam, is interesting inside if it is open.
Review 11:No ski-in/out. You have to walk from 30 till 100 m (depending from building). Procedure to switch on wifi is complex and receptionist doesn't provide guests detailed instruction - how do it.
Review 12:Comfortable rooms with modern furniture. Good SPA with large pool. Lift located close to residence. Ski room has the possibilities for drying of boots. Kitchen facilities was best in comparing it with others that I've seen for 20-years in similar apartments worldwide.
Review 13:The leisure facilities looked great unfortunately the water in both the jacuzzi and swimming pool were cold so only used the facility once. Be aware that there is also a bell tower right next to the complex that rings every hour and half hour from 7.00 till 10.00 every day. If your there with kids I guess this won't bother you too much. WIFI is appalling you have to log on every time you use it and it worked intermittently.
Review 14:Good location 2 minute ride to the first bubble car. Great looking building and very spacious apartment. The apartment was well furnished and very comfortable. Their is a great supermarket, bakery, ski shop and a couple of good restaurants. Attached to one of the bars is an excellent takeaway pizza place. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You can also purchase your ski pass from reception. There is also an underground car park available for €60 a week which I thought was very reasonable.
Review 15:Not a 24 hour reception. Check in too late at 5pm and check out too early by 10am. Wifi access needs to be upgraded too.
Review 16:New ski in/ ski out resort in quiet location. Spar shop, patisserie and restaurant on site. Free bus access to Tignes Le Lac. Warm pool and jacuzzi, sauna facilities too after hard day on the slopes.
Review 17:- Pricey (admitting that it was a peak season), - Only two keys for 5 adults, keys are needed by all for an access to ski storage room in the cellar, losing a key costs 160 eur. Replacing keys with access cards may be a good idea and would be more comfortable for guests. - Only ONE key per 8 people for locker at the spa. - Some messing up with extras when billing
Review 18:Facilities are excellent, staff super friendly and location very good if you like family vacation. Overall very pleasant experience despite few things I did not like.
Review 19:Boots dryers weren't great. Due to poor snow (Xmas 2014) resort had to be accessed by bus, on first week but conditions were poor everywhere at the time. Access to pool was from the outside which is strange when it's -20 outside.
Review 20:Reception Staff at CGH were excellent. The surrounding restaurants & shops gave the friendliest welcome we have had in any ski resort. Everything you need is there even though it's not in Le Lac or Val Claret.
Review 21:we missed the 1st night of our booking and had to find accommodation elsewhere because the Kalinda did not make clear they had a procedure for late arrival and no one from the Residence was answering their telephone line. The charge for the night has been held despite the Residence being practically empty at the time.
Review 22:Wifi not well connected
Review 23:Wonderful place ... Top relax , good position And Great swimming pool and Spa
Review 24:Spar closes for 4 hour lunch. Few non holiday facilities
Review 25:Stayed in lovely surroundings and facilities for children is very good
Review 26:The quality of the hotel was fantastic, great location and the staff could not have been more helpful.
Review 27:Wellness facilities, friendliness of staff
Review 28:Location, very kind helpful staff and great facility.
Review 29:Wi-Fi limit is not useful
Review 30:Hotel conditions is excellent. Restaurant ,boulengerie, bar, skiset are very close each other
Review 31:Tignes is one of the best ski places and Residence CGH Kalinda provides you to enjoy it fully at reasonable price. The rooms are nice and big (in comparison wit other hotels in France ski areas), saunas, jacuzzi and pool are nice and clean...you can start skiing few meters from hotel.
Review 32:As a new complex there are no restaurants or bars and therefore a bus or a car is needed. It feels a little bit isolated as a result.
Review 33:From a skiing perspective, the location is superb for ski school. A great ski in ski out venue. The accomodation is of a high standard and comfortable. The swimming pool and spa facilities great for the kids and family.
Review 34:The resort just opened the day we arrived so by next year the outside ares and restaurants will all be finished.
Review 35:the rooms, staff and swimming pool area are great . regular bus services up to Tignes were most useful and the shops on the residence were lovely friendly and well priced .
Review 36:Quality new accommodation, lovely people, good location
Review 37:Too Quiet
Review 38:Quiet
