Hotel Le Refuge sells fast on our site. Le Refuge is located in Tignes, in the northern French Alps, 165 ft from the ski lift. It has spa facilities and offers a range of beauty treatments and massages.

Review 1：Pillows and blankets could be improved

Review 2：Perfect location for skiiing in the whole area, staff if friendly and helpful. Almost everything in the city is within 3-5 minutes walk from the hotel. Various food for breakfast and excellent wi-fi for a hotel.

Review 3：Hot rooms made it difficult to sleep - I'd advise turning off heating / opening windows on arrival.

We looked forward to it every day. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Staff were helpful in arranging ski passes, and discount on rentals. We highly recommend Le Refuge!!

Review 24：Well, there's always something to find if you look hard enough, here are some "bad" things: Plastic holes key was a bit annoying, and there was only one! Worked well when you got the hang of it. We were at the 4th floor, I think lower level rooms had a "real" key. Jacuzzi was not hot enough and was only open from 2pm, staff could not help with this (we tried several times). This was a pain because you really need a good hot Jacuzzi at the end of a long ski day. The TV was smaller than my computer monitor... Not that we used it extensively but still. The pillow was ok, not the most comfortable I've ever used, but ok. Lighting was a bit off, felt like a couple extra lamps could help because the room felt a bit dark.

Review 77：In the family room (which has one double bed and two single beds) one of the single beds was an old, very small fold out camp bed. Considering the price I would have expected proper beds. Don't eat at the restaurant next door (the one attached to the hotel), go to L'Arbina instead which is on the other side.

Review 78：The staff were lovely and very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent. The location of the hotel is also perfect, very close to the two ski lifts. The sauna and jacuzzi were nice extras after a long day skiing. The staff were also great at helping us get our ski passes and equipment.

Review 79：. I found it quite challenging to keep my vegan diet in this vacation. I didn't feel like Le Refuge staff went out of their way to make sure that I have a vegan meal so I wouldn't rate this place as as vegan friendly. It's very hard for vegans these days to find vegan friendly chalets and I think if they demonstrated that they have brilliant vegan entries then they are going to be flooded by vegans who don't have many other options.

Review 80：got a very nice and cozy room, very clean, wifi, robes, towels, TV. In addition downstairs there's a fitting room where I placed my skis in a locked cupboard and hanged my ski boots to warm up. The staff was very helpful, I actually brought my laptop and stored it in their locked room for the day while I was skiing. They have a very beautiful buffet at the top floor where I ate my breakfast.

Review 107：My kids were excited to be sharing a room on their own for thefirst time.We booked a triple room en suite for us and a double - en suite - for our teenagers - as recommended by the owner of the hotel in June 2012 for December 26th 2012. Luckily we always bring copies of email confirmations etc. We arrived at 10.30pm to be told - NO - we had NOT made that booking! Two staff members ( one owner ) insisted that they did not have the booking. THEY INSISTED that there was one room available - a triple, no other rooms were available. They then insisted we put our son in with us and " the girl - let her sleep in a single staff room - she can use your shower".... this is my 15 year old child the owner was pointing at.After what can only be described as the biggest temper tantrum stand off - French v's Irish - a double room was suddenly found. Only after we produced the email confirmations. It was a staff room - grotty, small ( with old socks in the wardrobe) a shower and no loo. The toilet was next door with a key to access. the toilet did not have a sink, so you had to go from the toilet ( unlocking the door) and return to the room to wash your hands. All the staff rooms are like this - more of this later.It was a situation where we either put our kids up in the staff room at midnight together or my daughter sleep two floors below on her own or we taxi 3 hours back to the airport. Disgraceful doesn't even come in to it. Just how can a hotel with 34 rooms sell 35 rooms by mistake????They didn't charge us for the children's room - and we didn't charge them - after all it was Christmas.The owner seemed happy - but then she would be. The hotel location etc you can read about in other reviews.However two other things - I had tummy cramps and a runny tummy after the cold cheese and bread breakfast twice - it may have been the altitude - but remember the staff bedroom didn't have sink to wash their hands after the toilet.
