Reviews for Riverbank House
Review 1:everything was good with nothing negative to mention .situated in a good position for exploring Matlock and its surroundings close to bus station and railway station
Review 2:There is a club close by and have a smoking area (I presume) right outside the front of the hotel. All you can hear is shouting and laughing. Not great when you have a 10 month old baby.
Review 3:Great location, lovely rooms.
Review 4:Very welcoming just a pity the weather was poor because we could not take advantage of the beautiful garden but if we are down that way again we would stay again
Review 5:Having to leave!
Review 6:Very friendly welcome, peace and quiet, great location for the town, station and buses for day trips. Lovely garden with river views. Comfy beds, really clean rooms and a breakfast that set us up for the day.

Review 8:This is the second time I have stayed here and will be going back again. The people there are so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. We had a fantastic time whilst we were there. The breakfast was all local products and well cooked and presented. The room was very clean and the view of the gardens were beautiful. I can't fault the place.

Review 16:Excellent location, tucked away in a cul de sac, with parking, but a short walk across a footbridge into Matlock. Friendly owners let us check in a couple of hours early. No heating on in room despite snow outside, but fan heater provided and heating working fine by the correct check-in time. Nice to have a choice of breakfast times. All immaculately clean and well appointed.
Review 17:Location - very quiet, but only a very short walk to the town centre, restaurants etc. Pleasant walk through adjacent park. Friendly welcome, with a real desire to make you feel at home. Relaxed atmosphere.
Review 18:For a one night stay, it was just what we needed. Central, but in a quiet street with easy parking. A few restaurants just round the corner. A friendly welcome. Comfortable room and beds. Tea/coffee making facilities with tasty biscuits. A very good choice of breakfast.

Review 54:myself and my daughter stayed at riverbank house for one night in june. we were very impressed . the room was comfortable and everywhere was very clean. the breakfast was included in the price and was excellent. the parking was secure. the central location made it a good base for sight-seeing. would definitely recommend it and use it again.
Review 55:Very hard to find. Three streets with same name, none of which was correct. Council had changed the street name. Satnav could not find. Luckily an adjacent antique shop had same name on a sign. The b&b had sign but we had not located it while passing 4 times.
Review 56:Outlook good. Location convenient, once found.
Review 57:Nothing- a very minor quibble about Wi-Fi which seemed a bit capricious, but the management were looking into this.
Review 58:We stayed here on May bank holiday weekend. Despite the heavy holiday traffic elsewhere- and especially through Matlock bath which is a couple of miles south- it was a quiet and tranquil place. We decided to forget about driving on the Monday, and instead walked along the Derwent valley which was beautiful. The Riverbank house has secure parking, is very well appointed and altogether a perfect experience.
Review 59:Really great stay and will definitely return. Only thing was that winter weight duvet was a bit too warm for us and the sheet alone, too cold. We appreciate we are on the edge of a new season though and I am sure that in month or so this will have dealt with!
Review 60:The bed was quite small and short.
Review 61:Very homely, the staff were very welcoming and the location is great because it is near to an area with restaurants and bars.
Review 62:The room was rather cold, the heating didn't come on the evening we were there. There was a fair bit of noise from the monk bar that kept us awake. The English breakfast was nice but portion size was small.
