Review 3:Roger the host had loads of character, as did the accommodation itself. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, across the way in Bagel Bean. As we were going to an event in the Market Place theatre, 7 Houses is hard to beat in terms of location

Review 4:plenty of character & charm, clean, well kept rooms, lots of nice touches throughout, from the mixture of all genres of furniture to the beers of the world selection. Staff very friendly & helpful, would definitely stay again

Review 5:The car parking is no longer available but this is not an issue because there is a very reasonably priced car park across the road where we parked overnight for £2.70

Review 6:Lovely personal welcome and personal friendly service from Roger.

Review 7:The owner such a friendly warm person we were made feel very welcome and well look after. Perfect location and spotless clean and very yummy breakfast.

Review 12:There isn't really anything we didn't like except for the offsite parking but only because we thought it was still available.

Review 13:The owner is a phenomenal host and he ensures that any & all requests for little things are addressed immediately!!! We were very comfortable in Roger's little hotel!

Review 14:Owner there to greet you in this small and lovely b&b. John very helpful and room small but decor lovely and comfortable parking super. Location wonderful. Enjoyed very much

Review 15:The gentleman who run this place is unreal! I stopped in during a bicycle tour of Ireland soaking wet, he made a bed for me in 2 minutes gave me good advice on the town and was generally amazing! Cheers! I recommend the Bagel Bean restaurant across the street for coffee and the full Irish bagel breakfast

Review 16:Lovely clean and quirky hotel with very friendly owner. Bar only open at weekends at the minute but has a wonderful selection of craft beers that if love to come back to sample.

Review 17:The weather...it rained! Still, to be fair, I can't blame Cate or De Averell House for that!

Review 18:The warmest of welcomes from Cate and a fabulous breakfast in the morning with organic eggs from her father's chickens. Many thanks.

Review 19:location is excellent right in the middle of everything. Food is superb and all allergies etc are catered for. The staff are very friendly and very informative. Kate is a very attentive hostess. This was our third time staying here and we will be back again with more friends.

Review 20:Comfortable , homely feel. Downstairs bar. Staff/Owner very helpful. Central location. Unique boutique feel abd a great Ulster breakfast of your choice/design.

Review 21:There was nothing I didn't like, however if you are driving you should note that whilst you can park on the premises the parking spot is quite tight although I understand that Kate will park your car for you should you wish. There is also plenty of alternative parking available very close to the hotel.

Review 22:We stayed overnight on the weekend of European Heritage where many local attractions offered free of charge access, very well worthwhile especially as Armagh is steeped in history. The hotel itself is a historic building with many period features (look out for the original 18th century staircase to the basement dining room) Our hosts were simply lovely, friendly and capable and the bar staff full of chat. The food was excellent and plentiful and our room (2) was large and comfortable with a great view of old Armagh. As the hotel is right in the centre of the city all amenities are literally on your doorstep. The Trian Centre is just across the road as is the Marketplace Theatre and Cinema. Definitely a place to stay if you fancy a look round the charming city.

Review 23:We arrived a bit late, maybe 8 pm, after a day of travel and touring the area. Kate, the proprietor, welcomed us, served us an excellent evening meal, and showed us to a very comfortable room. In the morning (we stayed only one night) she served us breakfast and gave us some very useful information about the area and places we were interested in seeing. The location is right in the middle of Armagh, and would be ideal for a multi-night stay. We would definitely recommend De Averell House to others. Thanks, Kate.

Review 24:Cate was great. Met us at the door and made us feel welcome and was very helpful in giving us advise and where to eat and what to see. Excellent breakfast.

Review 27:Warm reception, interesting talks (although they were busy), VERY friendly people, great food, relaxed atmosphere. Service was outstaking, just perfect: Every little question (f.eg. eating out: where?) could satisfyingly be answered and any issue or strange incident (f.eg. contact lense in bathroom sink) was successfully dealt with...great stay, we will come back and always remember Cate in the meantime.

Review 28:My 16-year-old daughter stayed on her own for two days after her school was finished and Cate was incredibly caring, helpful and considerate. It was a perfect and unforgettable stay, thank you so much!

Review 78:My trip was too short....

Review 79:The owners, Cait & Austin couldn't have been more welcoming and I really do consider this my home in Armagh. I very much look forward to returning to see them all very, very soon

Review 80:There was nothing that I did not like about my stay.

Review 81:I stayed for 3 nights and it was good to have secure parking for my motorbike and to have somewhere that served evening meals of a very high quality with a breakfast that kept me going all day. The rooms were very clean and the owners and the other staff made me feel very welcome. If I go back next year for the NW200 and stay in Armagh I will have no hesitation in booking another stay.

Review 82:Just excellent. Only there for one night. Staff were brilliant. Always helpful. Great free wifi. Not sure why it is saying I'm in Tampa! I'm in Ireland.

Review 83:not applicable

Review 84:everything was absolutely exceptional meals rooms and the staff were something to be proud of Cate and Austin were the nicest couple I have ever come across as holiday accom is concerned.they treated us like royalty, and I must say it was a pleasure, no an honour to have met such a lovely couple. regards to Cate and Austin. alexander Sweeney.

Review 85:I have stayed in DeAverell house a few times now while travelling on business. Cate and Austin always provide a warm welcome in this little gem of a hotel in the heart of Armagh. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and I love the comfortable beds and pillows. The food in the restaurant is always exceptional, and I would recommend trying the fresh catch of the day.

Review 86:WiFi worked for a couple of minutes, then was impossible to get online.

Review 87:Everything was perfect, room, the house, the location, the host, the breakfast. I strongly recomend this place, and I would definitely come back.

Review 88:A very welcoming place - Cate the owner was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make sure our brief stay was as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended!

Review 89:The bar was very small and had a limited choice of beers and there is no residents bar

Review 90:The food is excellent and very good value a great choice and cater for all tastes and special requirements. It is located on the main street and is within walking distance of everywhere and the staff are so friendly. Will definitely be returning for another visit soon to dine there as it was wonderful

Review 91:friendly people , couldn,d do enough for you . we only stayed 1 night but we will be back again. atmosphere was warm big fire burning in the bar , child friendly , and the food was great and good value for money . austin and kate are lovely people .

Review 92:Only the room felt a little cold with the blue decor even though temperature was fine -just my taste maybe - but my stay was in November so would probably wouldnt have noticed in the summer!

Review 93:Friendliness of the owner, service, cleanliness, room size and facilities all were better than good, breakfast was also excellent. No hesitation about staying here again!

Review 94:I thought DeAverell House was an excellent place to stay in. It was my first stay and I'd definitely go back. The staff are friendly and it's a very relaxing place to stay and the food was excellent. I couldn't find fault. I thought the owners Austin and Cate made my stay enjoyable with the excellent service and they are lovely company, especially, as I was a solo traveller. I would recommend DeAverell House to anyone.

Review 95:Extremely warm atmosphere (figuratively, but also in the literal sense as the heating was on and actually working. Not common in every British guesthouse), great location, lovely food in the evening, individual care / support offered. All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. Katherine even recommended that our daughter, who is staying in Armagh for one year, should visit her whenever she needs help or communication.

Review 96:The location, room, everything about the accommodation. Cate & Austin were extremely helpful & made us feel at home. I would highly recommend De Averell House. Fantastic.

Review 97:Not much! The next door building is empty and neglected-looking, which is a shame as the row's architecture is so elegant. There were a couple of small problems with the room, which not only were quickly sorted, but the owner reduced the price I paid at checking out, without even being asked. Sound does travel between rooms, so if you think you might be disturbed by this, bring ear plugs.

Review 98:Fantastic value for money. Beautiful 18th century house in an excellent, central spot for anyone visiting tourist sites in Armagh. Friendly, helpful staff, good bed, nice plain white cotton sheets -can't stand the gaudy prints you sometimes get in guest houses - pleasant decor, fresh and varied breakfasts, restaurant downstairs open to the public.

Review 99:nothing

Review 100:Old style house Gold bar and rocky bar with the tea Nice bar lounge Fish and chips in the restaurant Biggest pot of tea ever had - in 'Daisy' the tea pot Staff friendliness

Review 101:Cate was very welcoming and provided a very friendly service with a nice bar catering for all tastes. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and we couldn't have made fault with the meal.

Review 102:I'd recommend the DeAverell House.

Review 103:The couple that owns it is lovely. Austin is also the chef and a pretty good one. It's well located and friendly. The room was fine in all respects.

Review 104:Parking was limited with very small spaces. Very difficult to maneuver your car, especially with the steering wheel on the wrong side.

Review 105:Breakfast was first rate with anything you might like. Room was on the small side but adequate for two people. B&B was in a residential area of Armagh and very quiet.

Review 106:The staff at DeAverell House greeted us warmly and served us well during our stay. Rooms were spacious and clean, and we enjoyed adjacent on-street parking.
