Reviews for Ivy Hall
Review 1:Nothing!
Review 2:Large centrally heated room with a large bathroom containing separate bath and shower. Lovely view over the lake. Good double glazing which shut out traffic noise from the busiest road on the Island. In a good location for public transport to Newport and Ryde. The proprietor was very accommodating, such as providing me with sandwiches when I had to leave before breakfast, lending me a plate for a meal I brought in, and generally looking after me.
Review 3:Nothing to complain about, although a couple of suggestions 1 have the WiFi code on a info sheet in the room. Deborah did give it to me gladly on request, but I was back late on the first night so didn't want to disturb her but having the info would have been handy. 2. The rooms (there are only 5) aren't numbered and was slightly worried I would be attempting to open the wrong room when I got back late. I didn't but numbers on door would eliminate that possibility
Review 4:Deborah couldn't have done more to make me feel welcome in her beautiful home. Even to the point of giving me some fruit to take to work for my lunch!
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:Debbie and Mick make you feel very welcome and are the perfect hosts. The rooms have everything you need, tea, coffee even hot chocolate! Small toiletries in the bathroom and a hairdrier if requested. Room was better than a hotel room in my opinion, but maybe a few too many cushions! There were lots of brochures in the room on places to visit on the island. Breakfast was fun sitting with other guests. Everything that you could think of was on the table and full English breakfast and toast cooked on demand. Location excellent as on the main road so easy to get out and about. We really enjoyed our stay and would return
Review 7:It was all good!
Review 8:I really enjoyed staying at Ivy Hall. Deborah is a brilliant, friendly and helpful hostess and I think that determined the atmosphere. Other guests were friendly.
Review 9:The combination of a very soft mattress and constant road noise made it very difficult to sleep or relax. The bedroom furniture was tired and didn't mirror the quality evident in the rest of the house. Parking is provided but can pose a problem if you have a larger car.
Review 10:The friendliness of the proprietor, en suite shower room and having coffee making facilities was a plus.
Review 11:The only thing I didn't like was the rain on the Monday but I don't think Deborah could help with that.
Review 12:Very friendly Landlady Deborah informative about the area and where to go.
Review 13:A perfect experience at this first class b & b Excellent accommodation. Super room. Lovely large bath. A lovely welcome. Beautiful fresh flowers in the room. Very comfy bed. Lovely views. Very good breakfast. Highly recommend. Will definitely return
Review 14:More attention to the breakfast table presentation please e.g.: remove old dried-up sauce from around the bottle top.
Review 15:The bathroom facilities were very good
Review 16:It was very warm so we had the windows open and the traffic was constant and noisy from early morning.
Review 17:It was adequate for our needs. Owner was friendly. Linen and towels were a mixture of colours, but that did not affect our stay.
Review 18:Booked two twins, got double and twin. Front room very noisy.
Review 19:Easy access to buses. Friendly landlady. Coffee making in room, television peaceful room.
Review 20:Wonderful welcome, preceded by friendly emails from Deborah. Nothing too much trouble Lovely room with very comfy four poster bed, and a fab shower in the en suite. Breakfast on the garden, in the sunshine was the icing on the cake - shame Deborah can't arrange that every time! Very easy to find, beautiful spot. Only very slight downside was that being unused to traffic noise, I did find the lorries rumbling past a little disruptive in the early morning. I will definitely stay again!
Review 21:For the location, expensive (for a solo traveller) but it was New Year.
