Reviews for Hôtel De Troyes
Review 1:Had to wait until 6pm to get into hotel after a long day driving! No food served on a Sunday evening. Thank goodness for the sandwiches from the little shop over the road.
Review 2:The hotel was OK. The room comfortably. Locked car park at night.
Review 3:the room was too hot without air conditioning, it was impossible to open the window, the shutters were closed because the window overlooked another room, there was no door handle or lock on the bathroom door, the toilet paper was very very poor quality.
Review 4:it had a secure car park
Review 5:Hotel failed to tell us when booking that we could only check in after 6pm. We were Travelling from London to tignes and needed a stop over night so we're extremely tired. We then got to the hotel and knocked on the door for a woman to ignore us several times. We then left the hotel at 1pm and found a lovely place in the centre.
Review 6:Only one local restaurant - completely booked on our first night so it was takeaway pizza for us.
Review 7:4 Euros per day parking, nice room, helpful receptionists. Easy drive into the town centre.
Review 8:rooms were very good apart from no air conditioning. uncomfortably too hot. staff were very helpful.
Review 9:an excellent half way house travelling to the south of france. plenty of good restaurants in troyes centre but had to drive, too far to walk. we had booked a disabled room and when the staff realised my wife was sharing this room with my disabled son they very quickly changed the bed from a double to two singles.
Review 10:We paid extra for a comfort room, unfortunatly the shower was not up to standard and there was no place to put soap, shampoo etc. This was my second stay at this hotel and the minor issues would not stop me from staying at the hotel if I was travelling in this location again.
Review 11:Secure parking, location to town centre was a short walk away.
Review 12:No airconditionning in the room, so had to sleep with the window open. Room gave out onto the road so was a bit noisy.
Review 13:Stayed in a newly renovated room, which was nice and very comfortable The car-park
Review 14:Air con or a fan in our room would have been nice as was a stifling warm/humid night.
Review 15:Very friendly and helpful little hotel. Private carpark made things easy too. Short walk into Troyes for lots of choice of restaurants made for an easy stop-over en route to Calais. There is enough in Troyes for a proper visit as a very pretty medieval town.
Review 16:We have stayed here several times, it is being updated. Would like access to drinks in room, some fittings are dated but functional. No major complaints.
Review 17:Comfortable, staff very welcoming and friendly, good parking, value for money hotel for travelling through.
Review 18:The room was very small in an attic space with beams and the bathroom door was a folding door because of the beams, so no good if you are tall. The carpet was very dirty with spills and stains and we couldn't hook the shower head up as the connection had broken off. The breakfast room was too small for the amount of people staying there.
Review 19:We only stayed overnight passing through. The bed was clean as was the towels and bathroom. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English.
Review 20:The rooms and entrance require a facelift, there is wallpaper hanging off the walls and toilet door was sticking could not open or close properly needs some improvement I would not stop here again
Review 21:Car parking, staff very helpful
Review 22:very friendly staff, nothing you can't ask they give you hints and without asking lot of information. basic hotel, with good comfort, nice to stay
Review 23:The carpet in bedroom was a bit grubby, and paper peeling on walls. If they renewed the carpet for a 2 star the hotel was acceptable.
Review 24:The staff were helpful and friendly and the secure parking for a large vehicle was a rare find in Troyes. The bed was comfortable and bedding clean.
Review 25:Wifi is very good on the ground floor but non existent in our attic room. Not a major problem but might be to some travellers.
Review 26:At the end of a long drive from Belgium it was comforting to arrive at this hotel. Very welcoming staff and a suggestion for a nearby restaurant which was also very good.
Review 27:Stayed here many times so that speaks for itself. We were in the newer area this time much more room for only a few pounds more.really liked it and v quiet. Parking is ample. Reception staff always nice. Its about a mile walk to the old historic town or a quick taxi ride and well worth it. Nice little breakfast here....continental but you can boil your own egg in a little machine last time we stayed.
Review 28:The hotel was very out of date, bathroom was very run down and we was only given 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and a foot towel between the both of us. The room was very stuffy, bed sheets had black mould on them. The room smelt of urine through the night, and top it all when we awake in the morning we had no electricity.
Review 29:Nothing
Review 30:The hotel was 15 min walk to the centre which was excellent, also the hotel had free secure parking which was good breakfast was buffet and good value for money
Review 31:A lot. The place was ok for a night stop over.
Review 32:The hotel was ok. The room was ok. the shower was rubbish and the evening staff were not helpful but the morning staff were very nice.
Review 33:20 minute walk into town - I had been to Troyes before so took the car nearer as knees not 100%. Breakfast room a little small. Room also a little small.
Review 34:Staff very helpful and polite. The town is all "wallkable". Lots of wonderful things to see and I would recommend going to the Tourist Office and buying book of vouchers - Troyes Pass. Lots of interesting restaurants. Nice pedestrianised centre. Huge shopping centres just outside town.
Review 35:We needed to leave at 3am. Dropping the key off and getting car and people out of the hotel was complex. Door at top of first floor stairs opens out onto the flight of stairs. It could be dangerous
Review 36:Price Helpfulness of staff
Review 37:A little too pricey for the standard. My problem with European hotels is charging extra for breakfast. For the price this should be included. 8 euros for a continental Breakfast. This isn't going to change that but a real bugbear.
Review 38:Good sized rooms with okay facilities. Clean and functional. Good quality beds. Friendly staff
Review 39:Helpful friendly staff. Good off road secure parking. Quiet location, 20 minute walk to centre of Troyes. Many restaurants in Troyes catering to all tastes. Restaurant 5 mins from hotel serving traditional French cuisine. Supermarket close to hotel selling some excellent wines
Review 40:Homely friendly hotel, but just has the basics. The city centre is walkable but takes 20-30 minutes.
Review 41:Easy to find, secure parking, helpful staff, good value, clean. Staff booked a local restaurant for us, which we could walk to, good quality French food, good choice continental breakfast.
Review 42:Area was a bit run down.
Review 43:Staff were excellent and polite considering we don't speak native tongue, they spoke English very well and we're very friendly. Excellent breakfast options. Very comforting decor to the hotel and rooms. Cleanly shower room and toilet. Quiet area location. 20 minute walk from centre.
Review 44:Had to pay for parking. The hotel looked shabby and in need of a lick of paint which was sad as it is a beautiful building. The bathroom needed a good steam clean. Also the shower head did not hang.
Review 45:The hotel was easy to find and had private parking. Staff were excellent. Comfy beds and pillows.
Review 46:Room smelled awful. Rooms very small. Poor ventilation. Half steps on landings, staircase, walkways cause trip hazards. Decor needs updated, walls peeling.
Review 47:Secure car parking at rear of hotel.
Review 48:Bit far out of Troyes for sight seeing after a long days drive. We were there on a rather hot day and missed some air conditioning - being on the ground floor near the gates we didn't want to leave the window open. Breakfast was a poor selection even by continental standards - not worth the €9 each we were charged.
Review 49:Helpful receptionist who spoke good English to help us out and recommended a decent restaurant down the road. Room on the ground floor was smallish but well presented with en suite. Comfy bed.
Review 50:Really hard to find and nobody locally seemed to know where it was!
Review 51:The staff were wonderful. We had to phone them several times. They even stayed on later in the evening until we got there.
Review 52:Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location about 15 minute walk into Troyes. We stopped for 2 nights on the way to the South to explore Troyes and the hotel worked perfectly for us would definitely stay again.
Review 53:Shower needed repair had to hold it as the clip was broken
Review 54:Very friendly receptionist who spoke good English. We did not wish to go far for food and she gave us a voucher for a restaurant 5 mins walk away. Enjoyed a fab meal, good service, reasonable prices enjoyed a bottle of wine without driving. Secure parking locked at night
Review 55:No lift, no restaurant, but just up the road is a good restaurant.

Review 62:Room stuffy and hot no air conditioning
Review 63:Very friendly staff, just a little tired looking. They are however redecorating at the present time
Review 64:No air con, room must have been 35 degrees. Wall paper peeling off and just looks a bit grim.
Review 65:Its easy to find with secured parking for motorbikes

Review 112:the stairs, very hot in the breakfast area
Review 113:private parking with locked gates at night, friendly & helpfull staff, rooms were good & clean but no lift to upper floors, breakfast was good
Review 114:Very shabby accomodation, shower door broken, had to manhandle it to close it. Very small rooms along with very small halls and dining area. Made me feel very claustrophobic. Not aware until we got there we had to pay for parking, no real issue but it would have been nice to know before. Spent most of the night awake due to a very noisy neighborhood, hotel sits next to two very big blocks of flats whose residents were not considerate of any neighbours. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Review 115:Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 116:Somewhat rude Lady Owner of the Property, making complaints that 2 adults + 2 kids booked a 3 person room a few hours after the bill had been paid.
Review 117:Convenient parking slot (4 EUR per night), helpful receptionist (young girl), 15 min stroll to the city centre. http://radeba.manifo.com
