Reviews for Odalys Le Hameau Du Mottaret

Review 1:Towels and wifi are both and extra cost.

Review 2:Great location for ski on ski off to mottaret slopes. An bus to meribel stops right outside for getting back from meribel of an evening

Review 3:There were extra charges for TV and cleaning and there was no residence WIFI available in the apartment.f

Review 4:The location, staff and facilities were all good, with the necessary conveniences located nearby.

Review 5:The room had everything you and the family need, it's basic and clean and best of all the price matches what you pay for. You're there for the skiing not to sit in a room. I'd go back, great location!!!

Review 6:Would prefer to access wifi in own room instead of having to sit in lobby.

Review 7:Ski in ski out. Perfect location for whole of three vallies. Stunning views.

Review 8:The rooms are advertised as non smoking yet the curtains smelled of cigarette smoke and there was an ash tray in the kitchen cupboard. This should be removed. There was no non smoking sign in the room and there should have been Having to pay for Wi Fi (5 euro a day to only use in the public area or via the tourist office)and TV in this day and age is both unreasonable and unacceptable - Booking .com should raise this with them We went to a local café, used their free Wi Fi and gave them our custom.

Review 9:Excellent location

Review 10:The sink in the kitchen is very small (they probably thought it would not be used that much as there is a dishwasher) and there is no oven, which I would prefer.

Review 11:The location is great - you are located on the slope and the centre of Mottaret with all the ski lifts and gondolas is only a few minutes away. The village has everything you need - supermarket, ski shops, restaurants, bars...The rooms are good, comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped.

Review 12:Apartments were dated and not the cleanest. Also very small for 4 people. Facilities were poor, not even a kettle to make hot drinks with.

Review 13:For an experienced skier then the apartments are perfect as there is a blue run at the back of the apartments that runs straight into the centre of Mottaret. However for novice skiers then a walk with all your kit to the gondola, which can be difficult with young kids. Also the Gondola closes as 7.30pm which means getting a bus back to apartment if you decide to have a meal in Mottaret in the evening.

Review 14:None of the extractor fans worked (kitchen, toilet and bathroom), the light over the kitchen sink was also broken, the kitchen utensils were of poor quality (e.g. the knives) and lacking some basic items (such as sisscors and a bottle opener)

Review 15:The view from the appartment was spectacular

Review 16:Seriously told to turn on lights via fuse box. Staff laughed and spoke in French when I insisted they do it. Laughing boy came to the room and couldn't find the fuse box for 5 minutes. Avoid.

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:Location location location. Enough said .

Review 19:Small appartment

Review 20:Location

Review 21:Great location to get to the slopes! Good parking as very close to accommodation.

Review 22:a little bit too cold inside

Review 23:The town of Mottaret was dead after 10pm.

Review 24:The apartment is fresh renovated. Four of us was in duplex apartment for 7 so we had a extra comfort...

Review 25:Tv was not free, wifi was not free, no oven.

Review 26:Great location, free bus stop was very close, bathroom was recently refurbished.

Review 27:local pub closed at 10 Pm... I

Review 28:Good location, value for money perfect for snowboarding with mates

Review 29:Making own bed...renting towels...reception closing during the day

Review 30:Good location . close to ski hire and shop

Review 31:Superlocation,ski out ski in

Review 32:no free WIFI cleanliness could be better

Review 33:Location (on the slopes) apartment staff free parking in front off the building

Review 34:Charges for wifi & the reception was very bad most of the wk. Charges for TV.

Review 35:Good location. Room clean

Review 36:Not only do you have to pay for internet,it is only available in reception area!

Review 37:Excellent location, 3 nice restaurants in Le Hameau also an energetic walk (via steps) to Mottaret centre for more restaurants & bars, bus stop outside reception( if you don't fancy the walk after gondalla stops) to go to other areas in Meribell area.

Review 38:Very very tired Ski shop located in Bar!!! Poor parking Some cooking facilities didn't work Broken fittings on arrival which we repaired so we wouldn't be blamed

Review 39:Doorstep Skiing Supermarket in complex

Review 40:1. Internet access should be free in 2014. On top of that after you pay access, you find out that it works only on one device. If you activated it on the tablet, you cant connect with phone.2. Nothing changed in 15 years (although the whole place is well maintained).

Review 41:Location is fabulous, since you stay near the ski slope. Skiinginfrastructure is also excellent.

Review 42:The kitchenware was dirty and the microwave was placed in the bathroom(!) but with no socket to connect it. We had to pay 40 euros for the TV (all channels in French) and 6 euros for each pack of two towels. An additional 55 euros is charged at the end of the stay for cleaning the apartment (or one must do it). There is a place to store your skis but not the boots. There was an "invasion" of spiders on the walls of the hall outside the apartment where we stayed. The residence is far away from the centre of the village.

Review 43:Apartments right next to the Furet piste, you can ski out and ski in. There is a supermarket, a few restaurants and ski shops very close.

Review 44:the steep and dangerous climb/descent to the ski locker room

Review 45:close proximity to slopes and shops space in room was adequate for two. (may have been a bit tight for four.)

Review 46:Apart from very small, the appartment OC B56 (lamps/walls) was very poor (maybe the poorest up there, because we saw some others, nicely decorated, and then it was better....)beds were poor, toilet&bathroom were poor, and decoration and kitchen were absolutely alltogether not worth the money....

Review 47:Location was the big plus.....

Review 48:No comfortable bar for later in the evening.

Review 49:Ski in Ski out. A few nice friendly restaurants in the complex, one of which is open for an early evening drink.

Review 50:The apartment was too small it was a advertised as 4/5 even small for 4 people no proper oven. When we arrived we were not told there was a lift or where it was so hauled all our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. We went at Easter so it was fairly cheap would not like to think I had paid double for it

Review 51:It was easy to access the piste and ski back to.

Review 52:Tiny, cramped and poorly laid-out apartment; cheaply and badly decorated- think portacabin/ trailer park.Whole building run-down and graffitied - reception like something out of a French Youth Hostel from the '80s Charmless and unhelpful staff. Massive queue to check-in - took almost 3 hours Overall, it felt like poor value for money – approx €1500.00, when you factor-in all the hidden extras – for 3 self-catering adults squeezed into a tiny and unpleasant apartment. The only thing that mitigates this are the ridiculous prices for normal hotels or chalets anywhere else in Meribel.

Review 53:Good location close to slopesReasonable collection of shops/ restaurants nearby

Review 54:Bath was filthy with mold around top which indicated not properly cleaned and cleaning not properly supervised. Vacuum cleaner bag was not emptied and smelled like a nightclub the morning after. No proper facility to park car and bring luggage into apartment. No assistance. Queue at check-in. Some staff not very helpful! Apartment needs modernisation...

Review 55:Near piste, near free lift, near shops, near ski rental. Beds were comfortable. Nice south facing with early morning sunshine. Recommend for these reasons

Review 56:Caos at reception at check in time, but saturday is a big chang over days for winter sports and does get busy.

Review 57:The price was good for the style of appartment. This was £547 for 1 week in Janurary.

Review 58:Check in and check out procedure, receptionist not giving enough information. Basic things like towels, bed sheets and TV are charged extra. Not even a soap in the bathroom for washing hands.

Review 59:Ski in, ski out location - right on the slope. Ski pass counter and shops close to the accommodation.

Review 60:located just on the slopes, no need to walk in ski boots and with havy ski... just in front there is a bus stop to go to the nearest village Meribel or to go to Rail Road Station in Moutiers.Stores, ski rent, restaurants are just in 5 minutes walking.also just near there is a lift to go to lower part of the village also with shopping and restaurants area. nice standard rooms with balcony and beautifull view on the mountains.

Review 61:We reserved as a 1/2 board, there was no food/drink included. Staff was rude when we referenced our Booking.com reservation. The furniture was sparse and uncomfortable. The shower stall was tiny, with a hand held shower head. TV was an additional cost and Internet access was at a cost, but only available at the reception area.

Review 62:Location. Kitchen was actually equipped fairly well given the rest of the apartment. The on site grocery store had quite a good selection.

Review 63:The neighbors made a racket till 5am every night, 5 young lads!!! The apartment was a little shabby but given the price everything was serviceable so OK

Review 64:Location was great right on the piste and apartment was very cheap

Review 65:The accomodation is very basic. There is not much space for personal belongings in the room. We had a room for 7, which is comfortable for 4, maybe for 5, but I can hardly imagine 7 people with all the equipment.... But than sharing the price is a good deal.

Review 66:Location-directly on the slope and services around were well ajusted for skiers. Motarett is a paradise for skiers!

Review 67:Very very small rooms. If you are over 6ft + as we were it is pretty uncomfortable. could not shut the toilet door without standing on the seat! this is really small accomodation, and divide the recommended amount of people by two. ( ie for 'sleeps 6 'read 3). Wi fi good but expensive ( 9 euros a day ) and liable to being dropped during peak hours after skiing. Over 100 appartments in a small area speaks for itself with check in and out problems. Parking is impossible, and we had to leave the car at the bottom of the hill all week. If you dont ski dont even think about it! course it was half term!

Review 68:Ski in and ski out is the saving grace and only reason for going here. Skiing is excellent and that is why we go!

Review 69:The one massive complaint I would say about the complex, was the factthat the residents of the complex who brought their dog(s) did not cleanup their dog's mess that was left all over the place. So, we had on someoccasions to swerve the lumps of dog mess when returning to theapartments. And to make it worse it was generally by the entrance'S.Other than that it was generally good, but one small "complaint" I could say was that to have to pay for TV was a bit extreme. General recpetion of French TV fine - but maybe pay for extra channels if needed. But to have nothing, toegther with the TV in the room. But maybe a radio in the rooms would be a nice addition.

Review 70:The location of the Apartments was great for the slopes, next door. Theamenities were good, choice of shops and the free telecabine down toMottaret, pity it closed at an early time of 7.30 though. The rooms were for us spacious, we did however have a 4 person room for the 2 of us. The view from the balcony was superb, down the valley to Meribel. FABULOUS.

Review 71:the views and resort

Review 72:Mould behind a bed which we had to clean off Hard to find apartment on first dsy as no proper directions provided.

Review 73:Closeness to the slope

Review 74:Great location right on the slope with well-thought out ski storage. Excellent value for money and ideal for family skiing on a budget.

Review 75:Excellent ski to your door location. Apartment was compact but had everything we needed (including a bath!)

Review 76:perfect location

Review 77:Good price and easy to access slopes

Review 78:Great location. Better than expected based on reviews.
