Reviews for Chirkenhill Farm
Review 1:Overall it was great if we had to picky there were some rather large cobwebs hanging down from the bedroom ceiling
Review 2:Lovely old house in beautiful surroundings. Very quiet & peacef!
Review 3:Nothing! Everything was as it should be.
Review 4:Excellent breakfast and the room was large, warm and comfortable. All the rooms were in a separate part of the farmhouse independent of the owners living area. Ample and convenient parking.
Review 5:Welcoming and very comfortable and warm, unfussy approach to us all. We were with our son and five year old grandson. Very comfortable well appointed rooms and excellent breakfast.
Review 6:One of the other occupants thoughtlessly had their TV on early in the morning which we could hear in our room. Got out and asked them to turn it down.
Review 7:Lovely suroundings , clean rooms, good breakfast.
Review 8:The welcome we received on arrival, the general sense of being friends rather than just guests. I even received a birthday card from them when she found out if was my birthday. Everywhere was clean and well maintained, plenty of room to park your car The breakfast was lovely, with the option for more if required, good choice.
Review 9:Made very welcome on our arrival with tea and cake. Wonderful bath that I could actually use. The breakfast was lovely,a great choice and it was pleasant being able to chat to other guests whilst sitting at the communal table.
Review 10:Lovely comfortable & spacious room. Sarah made us feel very welcome and had a wealth of local knowledge. Breakfast was excellent - Sarah was happy to make us porridge. Home made jams were delicious..Garden and surrounds are delightful.
Review 11:We were made to feel very welcome, right from the start with tea and cake in the sitting room. There were also ample supplies of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the bedroom, and different soaps and even hand cream in the shower room. Everywhere was spotless, but best of all, was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, in the quietest place I have ever slept; it truly was bliss!
Review 12:the location for Worcester, Malvern,Hereford. Lovely walking areas close by. Sarah was very welcoming and very informative about the area. Very comfortable place to stay .. We had large room with v lge bed and 2 comfy armchairs ,plenty of storage for clothes etc. Village shop close and pubs for food.
Review 13:Warm welcome, peaceful surroundings, comfortable bedroom and an excellent breakfast. Puuzzling that the average rating is only 5. What did some people expect when they booked?
Review 14:Lovely setting-nice landlady-good food-location was a bit further out than we first thought but not b/b fault-bed a bit hard and the door opening in bedroom was ackward
Review 15:Nothing to find fault with
Review 16:Everything lived up to expectations. A clean comfortable room. Superb cooked breakfast provided by a friendly and welcoming hostess
Review 17:liked sitting with other guests at large dining table but layout maybe could have been a bit more thought out
Review 18:bathroom was excellent with bath and separate shower
Review 19:We knocked at the house next door first of all, as the sign out on the road is attached to their side of the drive. The lady was very nice though and pointed us in the right direction! The driveway entrance splits into once off the road and I think there should be a sign in the driveway pointing guests to the property up to the right, and not the left. Other than that, we really loved our stay
Review 20:Sarah who runs the B&B is lovely, and spent time with us chatting about the B&B that has been in her family for years. It's obviously been the family home for a long time, nice feel to it. She also gave us lots of tips where to visit, eat, shop, etc. And very comfy beds, we slept like logs!
Review 21:Beds were a little too soft for my liking, but that is a personal issue and does not detract from the whole experience.
Review 22:Hospitality. Coffee on arrival. Lovely host. Location. accomodation
Review 23:The location,as it was close to the Malvern Hills and also to the city of Worcester. We were able to spend time in both of these. We enjoyed being on the edge of a village and in a period property
Review 24:Just a little off the beaten track, but worth returning if in then area again.
Review 25:Everywhere was spotlessly clean and Sarah was very pleasing and helpful.
Review 26:Property was just beautiful with the most amazing furniture. Owner was very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Really good WiFi if needed. We ate at the Swan and the service and the food were excellent. Definitely visit them both again.
Review 27:Absolutely nothing.
Review 28:The Proprietor went out of her way to make our stay just perfect. She was very informative and her breakfast was beyond expectations and locally sourced. A must if staying in this area.
Review 29:Although advertised there was no wifi but as I was only there for one night it wasn't a huge issue.
Review 30:I loved the room, the bed was enormous and very comfy. The bedroom was very quiet with windows that opened.
Review 31:We should have turned off the landing lights.
Review 32:After dancing and welcoming in the new year this interesting house, with fine furniture and comfortable bedroom chairs, offered a negotiated, very good, breakfast. Choice was no trouble at all. Our host was happy to discuss things in common..
Review 33:Traditional B&B with a very warm welcome , super & warm facilities(weather was cold during our stay) Food excellent Most comfortable bed we've slept in (room above guest lounge) Thank you Sarah
Review 34:My husband couldn't have a shower as when I had one the shower was blocked and flooded the bathroom. There was toilet waste coming up into the shower tray. We reported to the owner who really didn't seem bothered, didn't apologise or offer us any money off. Just told us to put towels down.
Review 35:Everything apart from the shower
Review 36:We loved everything: the welcome, the late afternoon tea by the fire, the comfy bed, the rural views, the best breakfast ever- enough red fruit to keep colds away this winter and a cooked breakfast that gave us energy to leap around the Malvern Hills !!
Review 37:Excellent location for visiting Worcester, Malvern and Elgar's birthplace. Warm welcome from Sarah who has lots of really interesting local knowledge. Beautiful old farmhouse, quiet and peaceful.
Review 38:We were welcomed with a pot of tea and a plate of cakes. Sarah, our host could not have been more helpful or accommodating in making our stay enjoyable.
Review 39:Nothing of any consequence. No need to say anything more.
Review 40:Just about everything. The area is very quiet at night, the beds very comfortable indeed, and the room entirely adequate for two quite old people. Breakfast time was "whenever you like" (a new one on us) and on the second morning Sarah joined the table. She is a delightful host with a lot of interests and well worth listening to. This was an excellent short stay we could recommend to anyone who likes simple things done well.
Review 41:Nothing.
Review 42:Peaceful location, friendly welcome, very comfortable room, lovely guest sitting room (always a bonus), excellent breakfast, and a charming owner.
Review 43:This is a classic farmhouse B&B set in beautiful countryside just a ten minute drive from the centre of Malvern. Very comfortable en suite room with large double bed. We were offered a cup of tea on arrival by the very friendly owner. The full English breakfast in the morning was delicious. Highly recommended.
Review 44:Hot water in the bathroom was in short supply but since it was a hot day ist didn't matter much and we didn't mention it so the owner didn't see a need to sort that out. Hardly her fault.
Review 45:Lovely location but you need a car otherwise you might be a little remote. However, that ensured a quiet night without any disturbences. Views from the room were delightful and opened up to unspoiled countryside. The room was spotless and had its own personal touch. The owner even provided fresh fruit in the room. The bathroom was wonderful with plenty of toilletry articles. Breakfast was excellent. Great value for money.
