Reviews for 33 Garden Street

Review 1:The kitchen utensils were of poor quality and saucepans were too few/small to cook for the number of people the cottage sleeps. Not enough equipment and what there was were poor quality, tiny cheap frying pan for example. Marked down on cleanliness as shelves, ledges and ornaments were dusty. Beds and bathrooms spotlessly clean though, just a minor point really.

Review 2:Really lovely cottage in a perfect location. Great sized rooms and beautiful cellar dining room.

Review 3:Poor lighting in kitchen and some bulbs needed replacing, poor flushing toilets. Could do with freshening up i.e. decor and walls needed re-painting and in winter months curtain needed to stop draught.

Review 4:location comfortable and spacious, plenty of hot water and central heated, poor parking facilities.

Review 5:lighting poor bulbs out on stairs and kitchen would of changed them but no spares as ones in utility room not the right ones to fit, Poor low energy lights. Pub good but Noisy late on.

Review 6:Location good heating great washing facilities good beds comfortable. Enjoyed the stay, nice to have welcome pack also kitchen well fitted out.

Review 7:The house stunk of damp and the sofa smelt awful - a bit like wet dog. We felt dirty sitting on it. We used the throws from the beds to cover the sofa and the carpet in the lounge, bought some smelly candles and opened all the windows. The next day the smell wasn't so bad. I think the sofa just needs to be chucked out! It was cobweb galore throughout the downstairs. In between the fridge and kitchen unit was thick with them. You could see all the dust and bits underneath the log burner - not sure why this hadn't been cleaned as its not hard to get to and its quite obvious it hadn't been cleaned for a while. I don't think the upstairs was cleaned before we arrived. Under the bed was filthy. Clothes labels, foil from tablets was there to greet us - along with general dirt and dust. We moved a side table in one of the bedrooms and you could see the dirt/dust marks in the carpet from where the side table had been. If the place had been cleaned properly and the sofa replaced with something a bit cleaner then we would have been a lot happier with the place.

Review 8:Good location. This was our second visit. sad to say the cleanliness (or lack of it) spoilt our stay.

Review 9:Restricted parking (30 minutes during the day) on Garden Street means that car must be parked somewhere away from the house. Stairs are steep so it may not suit those who are not fully mobile.

Review 10:Location, only a minute from the sea front and pier, in a pedestrian zone, restaurants and takeaway food only steps away. Close enough to walk back from The Glide Surf School on the promenade with kids just wrapped in a towel. The whole place is clean and well furnished, and with all the facilities needed for a seaside holiday. The basement is the dining room which is a creative use of the space. Welcome supplies of milk, bread, butter eggs was a nice touch.

Review 11:As the stairs are very steep would not be good for those with restricted mobility.

Review 12:Great position in Cromer. Spacious bedrooms, great to have 2 bathrooms.

Review 13:Downstairs dining room is a waste really and it smells very damp downstairs (spreading upstairs a little) Perfect for a weekend getaway but not for a long stay.

Review 14:Welcome pack was good and location was excellent, very small and quirky and comfy.

Review 15:Unfortunately its location right next to the pub made it extremely noisy. Other visitors should be aware of this in summer as there is a courtyard outside the pub and live bands play.

Review 16:The cottage is well presented and equipped in a very central location.

Review 17:The house stunk of damp and the sofa smelt awful - a bit like wet dog. In between the fridge and kitchen unit was thick with them - my daughter lost her ball and it was that dirty that we didn't even try to retrieve it. Review 18:There was everything that we needed here and all 3 rooms were great sizes. Location within Cromer was fantastic apart from the beer garden at the back. You can get eye contact with people in it from your kitchen which isn't great.

Review 19:Stairs may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility.

Review 20:This house is in an excellent postion, very clean and well equipped. It was also very welcoming and the complimentary groceries much appreciated. Able to unload/load right outside and no problem finding parking nearby. Didn't have to move car during stay at all as all we needed was nearby.

Review 21:Parking was a bit of an issue but we found a space on the street round the corner and left the cars there for the weekend as everything we needed was close by. It backs onto a beer garden so a bit noisy as it was august and the kids slept through it.

Review 22:Location was perfect, everything we needed was close by - shop, fish and chips, the beach, ice creams and pub. Was very comfortable with 6 of us staying.

Review 23:need extra cutlery in the kitchen/ serving spoons etc. could do with another tv in one of the bedrooms, as it sleeps 6.

Review 24:Very good accommodation and location, only problem was the parking but got over it and to be expected with a central location

Review 25:Very central in Cromer close to beach and all amenities. Comfortable beds. Warm and cosy. Although no on site parking facility we were able to find on street parking 5 minutes walk away and were able to load/unload at the front door.

Review 26:Very noisy at night as. Pub next door and behind. Wasnt in the information. Situation of dining room in the cellar not practical so never used it. May as well not be there.

Review 27:Beds very comfortable, close to sea.

Review 28:Parking

Review 29:It's a lovely little place right in the heart of Cromer - it would suit younger people without kids as it gets noisy at night with local pubs next door but the upside is the location is perfect for having everything on your doorstep Parking in Cromer generally is a nightmare, would have been good to have been advance warned / advised on bet places to park as propery has no parking Lovely cottage tho - can't fault it and the beds are comfy

Review 30:The dining room was a bit pointless it would be netter to have a tv room or games room donw those stairs and have a table in the living area at least this would be usable..taking food up and down those steep steps means that room is almost obsolete

Review 31:Location, although I can see that being at the back of a pub during summer might not be as quiet as we experienced in mid October

Review 32:This house was excellent from the moment we arrived.it was comfortable and clean and it catered for everything we required.it sits in the heart of cromer with everything you need a short walk away. The owners left us bread, milk, eggs etc which was a lovely touch also. On a whole it was a wonderful stay and would recommend to anybody to use it as I'm sure me and my family would again.

Review 33:It can be a bit noisy if the pub and restaurant next door are busy but didn't bother us.

Review 34:I love the house and how spacious and comfortable it has been made for an old fashioned cottage. I love the location and parking up the road was no problem to us as we parked up by the beach after unloading right outside the front door then had a lovely walk down to the house. There is everything you need really close, seafood, butchers, baker and green grocers. The welcome pack was lovely and very helpful after a long drive down. We will definitely be returning in the future and recommending to friends/family

Review 35:Lack of privacy as passersby looked in unless blind down , which made it dark in lounge, suggest venetian blinds. Pub courtyard probably very noisy in summer , not a problem in October. Stair carpet is due a good clean, but it is end of season and everything else clean.

Review 36:Excellent facilities, well equipped kitchen, useful sundries eg washing up liquid, cooking oil, condiments and welcome pack.Comfy beds, pillows , efficient central heating.

Review 37:No on site parking. Dining room in cellar meant it was not used. May better suited as games or tv room.

Review 38:Location in the middle of Cromer. Everything you need with in walking distance no need for the car. Will be back again very good find for enjoyable weekend with friends

Review 39:That we couldn't stay longer (on this occasion). But, we will be back.

Review 40:We stayed at the house with our 2 grandchildren, who like us thought that the house was fantastic. The fact that everything we wanted was no more than a stonesthrow from the house made it even better.

Review 41:The stairs were quite steep

Review 42:Couldn't ask for a better location, cottage had everything you need to be comfortable away from home. Beach, shops, pubs, restaurants and take away all a very short walk away. Would definately stay here again.

Review 43:Parking could have been a problem if we'd let it bother us as not easy to find parking in near by streets with it being peak season. Budgens supermarket at the end of the street with carpark for unloading and loading car. Voices from pub beer garden and people up and down the street can be heard but again, this wasn't a real problem for us at all. A freezer would have been a definite help. Couldn't pack picnics when going out for the day as no where to freeze cool packs. Also no where to store ice for our drinks.

Review 44:Great location and loved the hustle and bustle and buzz of being on the main street to the pier. Everything you need is on your doorstep from supermarket to Fish and Chip shops and gift shops to pubs. Couldn't have been better!!

Review 45:Nothing.
