Reviews for Hôtel Du Puy D'alon
Review 1:Very friendly and helpful staff, good parking, comfortable bed, good sized room. Windows that open for fresh air and a good view. A nice 20 min walk into old town. Stayed one night passing through the area. Breakfast was good. We on second floor and no lift but that didn't bother us.
Review 2:There was a strange smell coming from the bathroom, I couldn't tell if it was the drains or coming in through the window. Sort of like stale water or rotting rubber.
Review 3:Great location walking distance to train station and supermarket. A bit of a walk in to town but pretty. Lovely staff with great English, good breakfast. I had a room on the top floor looking out over the pool and the valley, so beautiful. I actually gasped when I walked in and looked out the window.
Review 4:Had a lovely overnight stay at this hotel, the landlady is very friendly and caring with good English skills (far better than my French). Not the most modern in furnishings, but the comfort and care was a delight, as was the lovely garden with the pool - so nice we didn't go out in the evening, we stayed in the garden and dipped in the pool.
Review 5:Nothing.
Review 6:Rooms were huge, staff was very nice and helpful. Wish is was hotter so we could have utilized the pool and deck area which were very inviting.
Review 7:The hotel is cozy and comfy, great value for the price. The property manager/owner was extremely kind and made us feel at home. Great breakfast, too! We had a really good time
Review 8:Lovely, English speaking owner. Great pool. Central but quiet location. Great place to relax and de-stress for a night after ridiculously long journey.
Review 9:The hospitality shown was excellent. Supermarket close by, a reasonable walk into town and close to the train station.
Review 10:Fabienne, a lovely hostess. And the lovely room.
Review 11:Good location just 15 mins walk into centre of the lovely town of Souillac. pet-friendliness. comfort.
Review 12:Hotel reception closed until 4pm.
Review 13:Nice pool, secure lockup for the bikes.
Review 14:Helpful proprieter. Lovely pool and garden. Attractive comfortable room.
Review 15:The location to the train station was very good, though would have preferred to be closer to the village centre. The proprietress was nice and helpful and even let us leave our bags for an extra night while we were kayaking. Room was clean, simple and comfortable. We had breakfast one of the mornings, but decided that 26 euros for bread and croissants and hot drinks was a bit expensive.
Review 16:Location on the edge of town an advantage in some ways, but a 15 min walk to restaurants etc. The hotel is quite strict on check in times (as they have every right to be as a small business with limited staff), but it would have been good to settle in and relax on arrival.
Review 17:Very friendly, helpful proprietor and a "family" atmosphere in a small traditional hotel. Nice pool and surrounds. Very relaxing stopover. Simple, but good quality, very fresh, breakfast. Would definitely choose it again if in the area.
Review 18:It's pretty dated - though very clean - and is right on a busyround about. With windows closed it was okay, but there is no ac orfan, and with window open - we were 3rd floor and it was hot - it'stoo noisy to sleep.
Review 19:Hostess was great - very helpful with local information. It was an easydrive to many of the nearby historic sites. Great coffee, and veryclean. Nice garden and small pool.
Review 20:Everything. The patronne, Fabienne is a delightful lady. The hotel is ideally situated (near the station), the rooms are immaculate (we had the best one), we were made very welcome (as was my dog) and I was not charged for the dog.
Review 21:The owner/manager let me check in early. It was only 200m from the train station and a 5 minute walk into town. I had a great view over the pool towards the hillside. The room was nicely decorated. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the room I had was very nice.
Review 22:A comfortable hotel with large rooms. A very attentive hostess who offered an early breakfast as we were catching an early train. The hotel is located a short walk from the station and about ten minutes from the relaxed town centre restaurants.
Review 23:nice people, lovely old building that has been well converted to a hotel. room was decent, a bit small for all of us in the family, but doable. nice pool & garden, very close to large supermarket and some good restaurants & cafe's.

Review 26:Garden and pool very attractive. Good bathroom. Very pleasant welcomeand ability to speak English much appreciated.
Review 27:A rather basic breakfast of half a baguette and a croissant, coffee and an OJ (not self service, poured for you from kitchen so cannot help yourself to more).
Review 28:Comfortable cosy room of a decent size. Very friendly owner. Easy car parking. Very good value for money.
