Reviews for Hotel du Cirque
Review 1:No access to a fridge in room and could not connect the wifi. When we asked for water we we told 'not possible'.
Review 2:Parking behind secure gates and breakfast was really good.
Review 3:soap from former client still in shower, wiki a little bit slow
Review 4:Good value for money, staff friendly, (continental) breakfast as much as you like. Very close to town's centre (wonderful town!).
Review 5:1. Stuff on reception don't speak English 2. Very small bathroom 3. Reception works only till 21.00 4. Poorly exquoped (no mugs for ex.)
Review 6:1. Stylish 2. Friendly stuff 3. In the city center
Review 7:Shower was a little 'tight' to get into, but that might be because of my beer gut.
Review 8:Staff running the place were nice. Whilst it said there was no parking they let us put our 4 motorbikes in their private garage with their own bike. (no extra cost) Place was modern and clean. They gave us a map of the town and where to go for a beer and food.Central locations.
Review 9:Bathroom was to small
Review 10:Quality/price was really good
Review 11:friendly welcome, very good location in the town, good aulity price ratio. Completely refurbished recently
Review 12:Post 9pm reception unmanned, needs code to get through front door.
Review 13:Location looks uninspiring at first glance but is actually pretty central.
Review 14:the interior was a bit dingy. Would not have been happy with staying there more than one night
Review 15:Closeness to the old town. helpfulness of staff. Secure parking
Review 16:there was no lift and we had two disabled people in the party. They had to climb the stairs with difficulty and a lot of pain. There were two vacant 'family' rooms on the ground floor but I was told we could not have them despite the booking form advising the hotel of the presence of two disabled people. We will not stay there again.
Review 17:By and large taking into account the price of this hotel, at one of the busiest times of the year, it was value for money.
Review 18:The location of the hotel could not have been better for walking into the city centre. The continental breakfast was quite generous and appetising. Off street parking was provided - at a price, but nevertheless very welcome. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom, although small, otherwise appropriate & functional
Review 19:Bedroom OK and clean enough but en-suite shower room was tiny and both my wife and I struggled with the very limited toilet space. We have had much better and less tired accommodation for the price. Not recommended for more than a short stop over.
Review 20:Easy stroll into Troyes central attractions, on site secure parking and both convenient and adequate for overnight stop over not far from motorway. Basic continental breakfast included.
Review 21:Hotel, old and dated. A little bit pricey. Had to pay for WiFi.
Review 22:We had a quadruple room which was separated into two rooms. Ideal for two couples. Beds comfortable. Own ensuite. Ten minute walk to town centre. Car parking good but had to pay for it. Staff all friendly and helpful.
Review 23:Hotel extremely shabby and run-down. Shower/bathroom was not much more than a cupboard and looked like it was built/decorated 20 years ago. General decor very poor.
Review 24:Staff very helpful. First hotel I have ever been with individual garages for guests? Good location.
Review 25:Old uncomfortable beds, no air con and noisy neighbours. In need to décor facelift.
Review 26:Helpful reception staff. Adjoining rooms to sleep family of 4 in 2 rooms
Review 27:Had to carry luggage up 2 flights of narrow, rickety stairs. (no lift) Bed was pretty hard!
Review 28:Very close to the city centre, 5 minutes walk. Hotel was clean and staff spoke very good English. Parking both at hotel and close by is excellent.
Review 29:The room was dirty, the toilet brush and holder looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for months!! The receptionist did not seem bothered because we complained upon our departure. He said it was no use putting a bad review on your website because the owner did not take any notice from similar complaints.
Review 30:The only good thing was the proximity to the old town.
Review 31:Our room needed a maintenance check. One light was not working and the wc cistern was running noisily and continually, so I had to turn off the supply tap to allow us to sleep.
Review 32:The receptionist was very helpful
Review 33:1. The room we occupied, on entering was quite smelly and nauseous. Only by opening the window for a lengthy period was the smell reduced.2. The room was small and could best be described as work in progress.Painting was incomplete, the door fittings didn't match, curtains were holed and the cord to the ceiling fan was broken. 3. In the en suite, the toilet seat didn't fit the toilet and there was limescale on the shower. 4. There was little evidence of soundproofing in the walls, ceilings and laminate flooring in the rooms, corridors and narrow staircase. 5. There was significant albeit intermittant neighbour noise from 06.00 am to 01.00am the next day. 6.The continental breakfast was minimalist - the coffee was stone cold. 7. There was no common/ reception room. 8. The shared open air car park may have a security gate but the park is open to the adjacent multi-storey housing and the pedestrian gate lock was missing so the car park can be accessed by anyone from the street and the adjacent low cost housing. 9. The hotel reflects the run down appearance of the surrounding area. 10. The reception service was barely adequate. 11. At 79 euro per night this hotel is extremely poor value; we have stayed in many hotels over the last 40 years and sadly this is the worst hotel we have ever experienced.
Review 34:The bed linen was clean.
Review 35:Without any assistance from 22:00pm to 06 or 07:00am. If you stay locked outside (they have a kind of password for entering) you will stay outside. They don't even answer the phone after 22:00pm.
Review 36:Bed broke after reception closed and no-one interested in fixing it despite a call....bit difficult to sleep with a leg missing on a bed - lucky we had some books with us! Room a bit tired.
Review 37:Location, staff, secure parking. A good budget location for over night stop if you're not too fussy about room quality and 'frills'
Review 38:Limited parking. No gluten-free options with breakfast.
Review 39:Low price. Proximity to town centre.
Review 40:room had a VERY small (about 24") screen TV mounted very high under a ceiling;
Review 41:onsite parking and close location to city centre
Review 42:Needs remodeling, wi-fi not working and staff does not care about it
Review 43:Location, price, parking
Review 44:We liked that the hotel was in the center of town with the added bonus of a lock up garage for the car
Review 45:reception not open until 6pm
Review 46:convenient
Review 47:Nothing to dislike.
Review 48:It was close to the Old city, really lovely to walk around. Very convenient, good parking, nice breakfast.
Review 49:You pay for what you get. Would not stay there again.
Review 50:Inexpensive. Godd location,
Review 51:Friendly staff speaking good English. Garage parking motorbike or car. Very secure
Review 52:Very low quality, it was like staying in a second hand ikea furniture store. Breakfast was disgraceful.
Review 53:Nothing
Review 54:No air conditioning. Could do with a make over.
Review 55:Price, location. Helpful friendly staff. Secure car park.
Review 56:The breakfast was not worth the 7 euros we paid. The toilet was not working properly.
Review 57:it area is a little close to an area with shall we say a liberal outlook
Review 58:closeness to the centre
Review 59:Quiet,convenient
Review 60:Breakfast
Review 61:Location Clean room
Review 62:sat nav had trouble finding the hotel.
Review 63:Great location and staff
Review 64:Very Sparsely equipped
Review 65:Location and convenience
