Reviews for Résidence Pierre & Vacances Les Gémeaux

Review 1:It would have been nice if management believed us that there was no parking available on New Year's Eve when we returned to the carpark we paid for in advance. They refused to reimburse us for that night (and we've been loyal patrons of PV residences at various French resorts for many years).

Review 2:It's all around perfect: Maric at the reception desk, the renovated rooms, the location, the value for money (relative to other options in Belle Plagne and dependent on French vacation dates). I just booked our next vacation there. Actually, I prefer to keep it a secret...but sharing and honesty is what we depend upon on this site :)

Review 3:The only negative was the sofa bed which wasn't very comfortable - the mattress was way too thin (even by sofa bed standards) and the frame squeeked noisily in response to any movement. It was ok once we both found a "sweet spot" each but overall, neither of us slept as well as we could have done. If this was renewed and upgraded, the apartment would be perfect.

Review 4:Stayed here with my girlfriend at the beginning of March, havjngbooked directly ourselves, and it was ideal for us. Great location with easy access down to the centre of Belle Plagne and the main roche de mio cable car as well as out onto the slopes. Not quite ski-in-ski-out but pretty close - you ski down from the top of Arpette to the Spar and then walk down ramps to the level 7 entrance. The main lift from reception stops on level 5 which is also where the locker room is so I'd advise booking a room on an upper floor, as we did. There's a second lift covering the upper 4 floors and access out to the slopes, a Spar and one of the covered carparks from level 7. Our apartment on the top floor was really quiet and had great views out across the mountains. We had a kitchenette / dining area then a searing aree with sofa bed (not the comfiest but really easy up and down) plus a second room with bunk beds. We used the second room for storage and the apartment was great for 2 of us but I think it would be a bit of a squeeze with 1 or 2 kids and the extra gear. That said, high ceilings made it feel bigger than I imagine the equivalent on a lower floor and it would be even better value for a family - definitely not for any more than 2 adults though. Go to the boulangerie for all your bread - it's freshly baked all through day. If you can't stock up from a supermarket en route, the 2 Spar shops are well stocked just more expensive. If you can shop before you get there, and you like coffee, buy filter coffee and filter papers. There was a very decent sized fridge, a 4 ring electric hod and a powerful microwave in the apartment as well as a small balcony (which we used as an extra beer/wine/water cooler!). We didn't sample the nightlife but there appeared to be a few bars open till the wee small hours.

Review 5:Location was great. Staff friendly. Nice llittle kitchen fully equipped. Great veiw from our room. Perfect for a short stay.

Review 6:Great location, good clean room. The staff are very helpful.

Review 7:Sofa bed not comfortable

Review 8:Location

Review 9:A bit near bar that kicked out early a.m but not the hotels fault

Review 10:Clean and spacious

Review 11:Big apartments, good location

Review 12:paying for parking outside as most resorts are free , sometimes a bit noisy as we were on 1st floor facing the road .

Review 13:good location for a budget apartment . staff were very helpful . rooms very clean .

Review 14:appartment was too small for 6 and 4 of us were children. i would not like to try 6 adults. also was meant to be ski in ski out, it was not, u had stairs and lifts to get to slopes. also noise at night from others. poor selection of resturants and food expensive

Review 15:belle plagne was lovely, fab skiing,

Review 16:There wasn't anything to not like about it.

Review 17:The apartment was clean and spacious for 2 adults and 3 kids. Great location - 5 min walk from slopes (thats in ski boots - 2mins in normal shoes). It was quiet too, so we weren't disturbed by late night revellers. First time for us booking a ski trip independently and we would use this apartment again.

Review 18:100 meter walk to slopes (and 2 stairs on the way back) and impractical lay out of ski boxes on a different floor.

Review 19:Appartment in good shape, comfortable, spacious and good beds. Very friendly staff.

Review 20:Though not unbearable, in advance of booking be aware of several steps, from the center up to the rooms.

Review 21:We were two families with kids aged btw 4-15. Everybody highly enjoyed the time we've spent there.

Review 22:It was not that clear from the instructions as to which key in the safety box was ours and we worked it out through a process of elimination.

Review 23:Location close to the shops/best restaurant in the area. We arrived outside the receptionopen hours but were still able to get into the hotel and room as there was a deposit box where we could pick up the key. The welcom pack was very good with enough cleanign products for the week so we did not need to buy any costly cleaners etc.

Review 24:Great location ski in, ski out, once you've climbed some steps. Good value for money. More spacious than other Pierre and Vacances apartments we've stayed in.

Review 25:Not right on the slopes & it took us a while to work out the bestway. Once we did, it wasn't far at all.

Review 26:Much bigger apartment than the usual 'rabbit hutch' ski &the best equipped we've had in 20 years of using ski apartments.Lots of storage space, pegs, plenty of crockery & cutlery & evena tea pot - a rare thing in France! All refurbished stylishly & warmquilts & reasonable pillows - again, not usually the case. Staffwere superb. Always helpful and smiling.

Review 27:Whilst bed sofa was ok I didn't sleep well and pillows could have been better.

Review 28:Very clean comfortable and friendly. Very well located close to Centre and ski runs and lifts. Great view from windows.
