Review 2:There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

Review 3:Mrs Susan Day is really lovely lady, with a very friendly & welcoming nature. As I am disabled she helped my husband with our luggage. Sue is also an excellent cook & served us up a very filling, tasty full English breakfast, that set us up for the rest of the day. Perfect nights sleep too....

Review 4:Only down side was the bed, it was old and noisy.

Review 5:Sue took good care of us and recommended where we could go around in thelake district, the room is clean and welcoming. Added plus the surprisehome made cupcakes when we came back one evening to our room. She alsoprovided freshly made breakfast for us to our individual taste.

Review 6:Millom is not an exciting place in itself, though it does have a Boots and a Tesco!

Review 7:Fairly convenient for southern Lakes. Very good breakfast and very attentive and chatty hostess. Comfortable bed, reasonable price. Good to have drawers and cupboards to put clothes away.

Review 8:nothing!

Review 9:So friendly, excellent breakfast, really made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect blend of friendliness and time to be left on your own.

Review 10:No private parking but no major problem as there is an area just across the road. This is in need of resurfacing by the council, however, as there are some deep potholes to beware of.

Review 11:Made very welcome by the owner, Sue, who treats her guests as friends. Lots of home comforts in the room. Lovely surprise of a freshly baked scone, jam and cream beside the bed on return to the room one afternoon!

Review 12:Very clean and tidy in a quiet location. Nice hot shower. Good substantial breakfast. Very friendly and welcoming. Close to railway station if relying on public transport (I do not have a car). Close to Black Combe and surrounding hills

Review 13:Sue, the owner, was very friendly and helped me find my way around town. After an afternoon of exploring she took time out of her schedule to actually drive me around! I felt very comfortable in her house - this was my first time traveling overseas and on my own for a couple days so I could visit the town of Millom where my grandparents were born. She pointed me in the right direction to find the streets where they lived, offered suggestions on places to eat and gave me a little history of Haverigg - where the iron works was. My great grandfathers were iron ore miners. :) It was a very nice English town with friendly people and a great little museum center.

Review 14:Lovely room. Far better than any hotel. Homely. Lovely owner. Accommodating for anything. Good information and history. What more could you ask for.......

Review 34:nice cosy warm room & bed

Review 35:Really lovely place. Clean, warm room. Great breakfast served quickly. On street parking and a little tricky to see the sign on approach at night. Photograph doesn't do the place justice. Enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again next year.

Review 36:The town was closed on the day we arrived (Easter Sunday) and there onlyseemed to be one restaurant, however, we did find a second tucked awaybehind the first. Millom has to be a base you will either begin or endyour journey as there really isnt a lot to do here.
