Located one mile from Lascaux Caves, this former Middle Age post house offers rooms with private bathrooms overlooking the Relais’s pool and large park. You also have access to a Spa.
The Relais Du Soleil D’or’s restaurant serves local gourmet specialties from the Black Perigord region with a selection of wine. Meals can be enjoyed on the terrace by the outdoor pool when the weather allows. For a drink or a quick snack, Le Bistrot is at your disposal.
All of the rooms at the Soleil D’or come with a flat-screen satellite TV, a hairdryer and a minibar. Bathrobes are provides and the private bathrooms are either equipped with a bathtub or a walk-in shower. Room service is available.
You are invited to relax on deck chairs by the pool, or try the Spa with its jacuzzi bathtub. Massages are also possible upon request.

Review 1：The restaurant hamburgers were undercooked - apparently a common fault in France. If you want meat well done, you point to your shoe when ordering.

Review 2：The garden and piscine were a pleasant bonus. However, more work in the garden could make it a more desirable function venue. Private parking was good.

Review 3：Carpet in my bathroom and even in the seperate toilet!! I'm really travelling a lot, but this was the first time in my live that I had this. I only went with my shoes there, because the feeling how much went beside the toilet was...xyz :-(. I really do NOT understand this... to change the floor of this small m² is simple and a matter of 1, max 2 days. The bed: For an 1,80 m person the bed is too short. Slept well (!) - as I used it as a single room I could sleep diagonal. 97€ for such bathroom/toilet is not ok. Should be a rebate for this kind of rooms.

Review 4：Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice location!! Very clean (the carpet in bathroom/toilet is a different story... apart from this really very good cleaned!) Good breakfast. I would go there again, but only if I get the confirmation to have another bathroom/toilet. As we heard there are renovated rooms available.

Review 5：Had asked for disabled facilities and superior room ... Didn't get either! Lights at poolside switched off very early so no chance of evening drink also inconvenient having to search for someone to serve at bar

Review 39：Well appointed 'Manoir' type hotel situated in the centre of beautiful, Montignac, Dordogne. Very nice swimming pool and grounds, with secure, gated parking. Very nice reception area, lounge, dining room(s) and bistro. Excellent buffet breakfast.

All very dated (yet not in that oh-so desirable 'quaint charm' kinda way). The Spa & breakfast should be included in the room rate. €13 each for a continental breakfast when you get a proper one across the road for half that price? Madness. Hotel was full. To our knowledge no one used the Spa (cos it cost too much).

Review 43：We live in SW France so take that into account when reading this. In centre of town with own secure car park at no charge. Quiet surroundings & ambiance despite height of tourist season. Within an hour's drive of many wonderful places in The Dordogne, Correze and Lot.

Review 44：There was not anything I did not like about the hotel. The hotel has an eco-policy in regard to bathromm towels,which is praise worthy. The hotel could, however, examine how it could become more environmental friendly.

Le Relais is a traditional small town hotel with rooms at a very reasonable price. There is a good bistrot and more formal dining. Dining around the pool in the evening was very pleasant. Great regional product menu.
