Reviews for Hôtel la Fête en Provence

Review 1:We'd arrived on Wednesday which is their closing day. I was aware of this but I didn't think it would be a problem as I'd thought there'd be more restaurants. La Fete was closed. The Beffroi was full The restaurant down the road was also full. So we had a pizza, which was ok but not what we wanted.

Review 2:Medieval building totally and tastefully renovated. The rooms are of high quality. The biggest bed I've seen outside New York. Everything is personally looked after and thought out. It's as if the owner has thought things through just as she would like it to be. Even the toiletries were of high quality. I had assumed that the Roman ruins were by the medieval village but I was wrong. They are down the mountain By the tourist office. We had a car so it didn't really matter.

Review 3:Parking could be an issue in peak season

Review 4:Fantastic location, large living space, with the bonus of a washing machine in our duplex apartment. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 5:Wifi is only available in the reception area. Though that is only a minor inconvenience.

Review 6:What a an amazing little resort. Set up on the hill of the old village, with an easy walk to the village. The young lady on reception the booked us in was most helpful, we booked in for only 1 night though extended our stay for another night.

Review 7:The ceiling is too low in parts of the guestroom (F3; ask for a different room). Parking is about a block away.

Review 8:Charming part of town, cute cobbled streets, excellent staff. Excellent restaurant.

Review 9:Acces to the room was through a very narrow circular staircase. Had to leave stuff in car and carry only was was needed for the night. Toilet was in a small enclosed room without aireation and had a stufy smell. It only had a bathtub with a handheld hose and spray, so it was uncomfortable to shower.

Review 10:Location was great, the staff was very nice and very helpfull, particularly with helping us find parking. They were also very patient with our very basic french. Toiletries were high quality. It was good to have a kitchenette. Price was good value for the money considering the high demand of this location

Review 11:WiFi was useless... needs major improvement. Unable to dine in restaurant. Nobody told us we should book, or that it would be closed one night (but there were plenty of places to eat anyway).

Review 12:Stunning location and setting. Courtyard sublime. Rooms lovely.

Review 13:The room was not cleaned very thoroughly, and didn't smell great. Wifi and cell reception did not work through the thick stone walls, so the only option was to sit in the lobby to get online.

Review 14:The location in the medieval old town was beautiful. Breakfast was fine, but not included in the cost.

Review 15:Fantastic location! Was a little sorry to find the restaurant was fully booked as the menu looked fab. A lovely surprise to find there is a pool nearby for guests to use.

Review 16:No description of the type of parking facilities which although free were located some distance from the the hotel. WiFi was only available in the reception area and not in the room - again not emphasised.

Review 17:Large airy room with good amenities.

Review 18:Dark, dank and smelly. Not at all how it was presented on line. The man in the restaurant/bar in the am was very unpleasant and unfriendly. It was VERY disappointing and we backed out of our stay.

Review 19:Nothing except very beautiful countryside.

Review 20:Limited wi-fi access

Review 21:All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my husband's mobility needs. The room was of a very high standard, tastefully decorated too. Restaurant menu excellent and food was delicious. I recommend La Fete , top class.

Review 22:Parking - having to take your chances with parking outside the walls. Inevitable given the otherwise great location, but still a minor headache.

Review 23:Friendly and helpful staff. The feeling of having the whole medieval quarter to oneself once the day visitors have left.

Review 24:Wifi only in lobby. Stairs to upstairs bedroom quite winding and steep so we had to keep the luggage downstairs.

Review 25:Spacious and modern- more like a 2-story apartment. Comfortable bed, separate rooms for shower/sink and toilet. Central location. Amazing value.

Review 26:The only slight inconvenience was having to go down the spiral staircase from the loft to reach the toilet -- but this wouldn't likely be an issue for a younger person who didn't have to get up in the middle of the night for a bathroom break.

Review 27:Loved this place! Our room was awesome -- lovely living room, fantastic balcony with a gorgeous view, a wonderful little kitchenette. The staff were so knowledgeable and accommodating, and also spoke English, which was helpful since our French is fairly limited. The food was incredible in the restaurant -- can't say enough about the meals. The pool was a terrific perk on those hot summer Provence days. And of course, the location in the unbelievable picturesque Medieval town was to die for!

Review 28:Parking was a problem, it is public and was full up. However you can pull up in front of the hotel to unload

Review 29:Room was comfortable, location is in the medieval town and close to everything. Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 30:Hotel receptionist wasn't the friendliest. Pool was a 200m walk from the hotel and was tiny, nothing like the photo. Room was dirty, bed had bed bugs, which bit. (Had never seen them before) Parking is a problem.

Review 31:Restaurant was very good and the Restaurant staff were lovely.

Review 32:It is adverticed that wifi is available in the public areas here on booking.com Wifi is only available in the reception and just outside. And the reception is closed every night after 6pm.

Review 33:very good atmosphere ind the old ruin in the old town. There is a lot of narrow stairs which makes it authentic

Review 34:Nothing

Review 35:Excellent location in the heart of the old city - parking although not secure was perfect - just a very short walk to the hotel and a stunning view on the way - lovely secluded swimming pool and an excellent restaurant - which whilst not cheap was stunning in quality and presentation - we had a quiet beautiful room (up stairs but only a few) would certainly go again and recommend to anyone (other than disabled)

Review 36:Difficult to find the hotel.

Review 37:Close to town

Review 38:Great staff and fab food

Review 39:Location excellent, staff amazing facilities fantastic.

Review 40:The room was very dark, and over looked the restaurant.

Review 41:The Pool

Review 42:The hotel was extremely accommodating to us as travelers. This hotel is excellent. One of the best of our trip.

Review 43:Air-con would have been nice but there was a fan so nothing to complain of really.

Review 62:The breakfast was limited

Review 63:Location .dining courtyard . The even ending dinner was very good

Review 64:Parking was a challenge but worth it. the stairs were steep but they helped with luggage.

Review 65:Being in a medieval village, an outstanding restaurant on the premises with others within walking distance, the views. And the modern village below was lovely and interesting. A perfect location to explore nearby hill towns.

Review 66:Wifi did not work in room, just in courtyard and surrounding areas due to walls of old city-could not be helped

Review 67:Staff were very accommadating and very friendly and concerned for your well being.breakfast was lovely(not included), room great . Hotel was really so quaint being in old medevil city, such a rare thing to be able to actually stay in such a place, restaurant atmosphere was really beautifil. Has satelite TV I would give this 9.5 out of 10

Review 68:Wifi only available in office but given the age and thickness of the walls in the medieval building, perhaps this is unavoidable.

Review 69:Fantastic location in the medieval village yet easy to park a block away. Short walk to lower town. The best of both worlds.Extremely charming building and rooms. Great bed and beautiful bathroom. Good restaurant and helpful staff.

Review 70:Najat who runs the hotel was very helpful both with our online booking and in person. Also the great people who managed the on site restaurant were awesome. We loved the hotel and the perfect, quiet setting.

Review 71:terrible wifi connection, only 2 meter coverage poor value breakfast for 10euro too expensive very poorly equipped kitchen not set up for cooking self catering never refilled tea coffee after first day and we were there 6 nights! no more soap issued once used up no microwave poor security in apartment entrance door

Review 72:village hill top location 12 Century town huge expansive apartment large king bed, modern clean bathroom, all things worked in bathroom excellent quality toilet accessories supplied High quality restaurant attached to Hotel and excellent menu value for money easy walk into town, so scenic the whole place ideally views friendly helpful staff very quiet location great value for money romantic walks after diner with no cars as blocked off to cars

Review 73:We were allocated a room at the 4th floor which meant tricky spiral stairs and no head space. After we complained that booking.com should not mean give them 'the worst room' we got another, better room

Review 74:Nice hotel in old fortified village. Take an extra day to see all the antiquities of Vaison. Restaurant in courtyard of hotel is ok' has very nice staff and is very convenient.

Review 75:Nothing. We loved it all!

Review 76:I loved the spacious rooms and the huge bed. And having a kitchenette was a plus. The pool was perfect on a hot day. The food at the resturaunt was amazing. A really beautiful place

Review 77:Parking difficult, as should be expected in a medieval hill town. Wi fiavailable only in office. Artisans shops closed most of the timeregardless of signs. Kitchenette needed maintenance and replacing ofcoffee pot.

Review 78:Natural beauty, views, friendly staff especially Celine who spokeexcellent English and gave service above and beyond. Nice restaurant onsite and more within walking distance. Good towels including for poolprovided. Town, market walkable only for the very fit down steep hill.

Review 79:Hot room, no air-con in 34 degree heat. Restaurant expensive. Wifi only worked in small area next to reception. Steep stairs to room.

Review 80:Location in old town. Swimming pool. L'Occitaine toiletries.

Review 81:Shabby maintenance with lamps, plugs etc out of order, lots of narrowstairs to climb; some rooms under the eaves with very low ceilings;

Review 82:Nice location, good restaurant

Review 83:We loved this hotel! It is very old and in the medieval part of a beautiful town with easy access to restaurants and a great Tuesday market. The walk through the medieval area where the hotel is located to the town center is beautiful. The room was perfect for my husband and I and the kids slept in a separate loft area. Would highly reccomend and we would stay here again!

Review 84:1. 43 stairs to get to our room (Room #3); mostly in two circular staircases - difficult to haul luggage. 2. Spiral staircase within the room to get to the bed.

Review 85:1. Being in the medieval (upper) city; 2. Free parking available relatively close by. 3. Restaurant with good service and good food (for dinner and breakfast).

Review 86:The stone tile floor was cold. A small area rug by the bed would have been nice. The haut ville of Vaison la Romaine is totally charming, but it is a long steep walk to the lower town where most of the restaurants and markets are located. A good heart and sturdy shoes are advised.

Review 87:The rooms are spacious, with very modern bathrooms and come with a well equipped kitchenette. When I was concerned that my first room was going to be noisy and hard to get to sleep because it overlooked an interior courtyard where meals were served, the staff was able to give me a different room for the duration of my stay at the same price.

Review 88:There was limited equipment for use in the kitchenette.

Review 89:The hotel was in the old section of town with a kitchenette. It was easy to find parking nearby.

Review 90:Incredible setting.

Review 91:Fabulous location, excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff. Would be great to come back.

Review 92:WiFi only availble in reception and not in rooms.

Review 93:Extremely quiet and peaceful. wonderfully large rooms, Kitchenette a real bonus

Review 94:It's location in the medieval city was awesome and close proximity to the many vineyards of the southern Rhone Valley.

Review 95:Beautiful Location, friendly staff, very Good restaurant

Review 96:Parking Not easily accessible not disabled friendly

Review 98:the old town, the yard, the swimming pool, the city

Review 99:No heating available in 40 degree F. Weather

Review 100:Ambience was wonderful

Review 101:Breakfast was not included in the price and was very expensive. Directions to hotel very poor, Hotel sign badly designed.

Review 102:Beautiful setting.
