Reviews for Le Logis Du Chateau

Review 1:Very strange experience as there were no more than 6 guests in the whole hotel. It was quite eerie in the evening.

Review 2:Friendly staff, free unasked for upgrade to a balcony room. Good breakfast, special scrambled eggs offered without asking.

Review 3:Meal charges were a bit over the top, 10€ for breakfast was far too much, prices for dinner were quoted as 22€ p.p but as there was no menu to compare, most guests, ourselves included, chose to go into town.

Review 4:Views and location were excellent, proximity to the main town were good, 10-15 mins walk, good facilities, tennis and swimming pool very good.

Review 5:Had a patio view, but could not see the castle because of an overgrown tree, somewhat disappointed in that. Breakfast was just OK but dinner was very good.

Review 6:Beautiful view, staff was exceptionally friendly.

Review 7:The rooms are a little old fashioned but otherwise fine.

Review 8:The hotel is in a great location and has a small pool. The restaurant in the hotel was really great and excellent value for money.

Review 9:Breakfast buffé was rather poor with very limited selection of food other than continental breakfast. The pool area was OK but the location next to the parking lot made it less charming.

Review 10:Great view of old town and fortress.

Review 11:Reception closed 11-18 and after 20...

Review 12:Clean. Ok location. Need a brush up. A lot of potential - if they l just fresh up/invest a little. Nice place to cycle/run from. Up to Le Creset for instance....

Review 13:Lack of staff. Closed when we arrived. At 18:30, when everyone wants to take a drink before dinner - the lawning machine starts!!! Someone has to teach them lawning and watering is done in the mornings!

Review 14:The view

Review 15:As we were visiting our family(who were fully booked) we always stay here as the position of the hotel is so tranquil and only a 5 min walk to the old town. As the rooms are equipped with a small kitchen and it would be good if a kettle was supplied for tea/coffee making.

Review 16:None

Review 17:Friendly staff, beautiful view to the castle from restaurant terrace, great breakfast and delicious diner. Free covered parking right on site. Very good value for money.

Review 18:Quite a hike up the hill - 1-2 km from the town. We were walking so with our luggage so were lucky to have arrived just before they closed at noon. Otherwise they were closed from 12-4pm and after 8pm. Had problem with WiFi that no one could deal with because it was after 8 pm.

Review 19:View of the old medieval city because you were quite a hike up the hill away from it. Clean room with unreliable WiFi and staff that close down from 12-4pm and after 8pm

Review 20:My only issue was that reception is not manned 24 hrs so check in was only possible between 4 and 8 in the evening. Reception is of course manned in the morning too.

Review 21:This hotel has a simply glorious view and good facilities. Parking is ample and convenient.

Review 22:Checking in times were inconvenient.

Review 23:The location, the village/town, room facilities. breakfast and evening meal. Closeness to Le Mont Ventoux. Covered car park. Outside facilities.

Review 24:There is a log in for the wi-fi which you had to enter every time you used it and seemed to disconnect any other devices every time you logged in.

Review 25:Cooking facilities in our room - handy as we were cycling a lot. Great location - near to Mont Ventoux Staff very helpful

Review 26:Expensive breakfast for the choice of food. No utensils in the kitchenette. The rooms look more modern in the pictures than they really are. No sockets in bathroom.

Review 27:Perfect location on the hill of the town with great views and close to the medieval city. Free parking spaces, quiet location at nights and nice terrace. Kitchenette in the room

Review 28:-Internet terrible, the staff not willing to help. If you depend on internet, avoid this hotel. -Breakfast too expensive for what you get (instant coffee etc.) -Kitchenette in room, but nothing like plates pans pots, dishes not even a single spoon..!!!! -No table to sit confortable for 2 people., fixed on the wall. small double bed (french)!! room basic, not for a holiday

Review 29:- View over the valley - nice to stay a night while travelling

Review 30:Dining room had a very limited menu but service was excellent.Sign posting to the hotel needs to be clearer.

Review 31:The views, the weather! excellent room 111 with balcony. Ample car parking. Good continental breakfast.

Review 32:Room advertised on booking.com unsatisfactory. We made a guaranteed reservation so we had to upgrade on-site to get a decent room.

Review 33:Staff friendly Good Petit Dejeuner

Review 34:The room has a kitchen inside that you CAN'T use it. My mom was sick and she needed to take her tea at night but they didn't even provide a kettle in the room. We asked for it but they did not provide us one, and did not responde well to our need...

Review 35:Vaison la Romaine is one of the most beautiful places that I ever visit. The hotel is very well located. You have an amazing view of the old city and the chateau. When you arrive at the hotel you already see it that you made an excellent choice! The wi-fi does not work in the room. So we have to leave and use it from the elevator hall or go downstairs. We did not have breakfast there, so we can not rate it. The staff isn't amazing... but for the price and the view we would recommend it. Parking available in the hotel. You can walk to the old city (10 minutes because it is in the road - not busy - so you have to be careful).

Review 36:Floors and hallways of hotel need an upgrade. Breakfast waitress completely ignored us. WiFi was very poor.

Review 37:Location and views were lovely; room was clean.

Review 38:The hotel decor seemed dated.

Review 39:The staff were very helpful and the hotel was well located - slightly out of the way with views of the castle and the town. The old town was very close to walk, with the new town slightly further.

Review 40:The way to the hotel has sign posts, but you need a keen eye to detect them, drive very slowly!

Review 41:Outstanding view on the castle and village, especially in the evening. Do take your dinner there, the kitchen is doing a good job too!

Review 42:Low ceiling in the junior suite loft. Broken toilet seat in room is justlazy maintenance. Can't bring bikes into room. Hotel Grounds fair.Sport court above garage had weeds one meter tall.

Review 43:Good central location to move around the area. Typical low coastEuropean hotel. Easy parking.

Review 44:Can't think of anything.

Review 45:Loved the location and facility's, felt like 5 star but needs updating but would be costly to do so!

Review 46:Great staff- very friendly & helpful

Review 47:poor breakfast with staff cleaning up all around making a lot of noise

Review 48:Reception staff

Review 49:Quite a distance from the new town. Downhill fine. Uphill on the way back challenging

Review 50:Really wonderful views. Close to the medieval town

Review 51:Location great! Hotel is adequate and comfortable. Staff were so friendly and very helpfull.

Review 52:We had to leave such a welcoming place

Review 53:The friendly staff esp. Isabel

Review 54:Breakfast is not really value for money but is good.

Review 55:Place is clean quiet. Staff is friendly and food is very good.

Review 56:The hotel needs some TLC.

Review 57:The staff were very helpful.

Review 58:The dinner, low quality. Hotel urgently needs refreshing.

Review 59:The view on the surrounding hills from the restaurant.

Review 60:Worn out hotel. You can't pay cash. Absolutely no value for money.

Review 61:The gardens and the view from the old chateau are superb; we arrived late but our keys, instructions were all individually prepared

Review 62:Onsite free parking.Quiet location.Friendly staff

Review 63:limited reception hours

Review 64:spacious room, view from room and garden

Review 65:Need some adaptations

Review 66:VIew, terrace after breakfast, spacious rooms

Review 67:Bathroom was tired and needed refurbishing.

Review 68:Nice position with good views.

Review 69:Leaving!!!

Review 70:Fantastic friendly reception staff. Free parking. Large terrace. Fab views.

Review 71:Old style hotel, but was cheapest in town, for one night only...

Review 72:Good location, easy walk into town. Not terrible value, but not the best...

Review 73:Location- short walk to everything . Very helpful reception staff when we had mechanical problems.

Review 74:Close to old city and town. Reception staff very friendly and most helpful

Review 75:Nice patio/view Kitchenette in room

Review 76:Tough walk to get into/back from town

Review 77:Friendly staff who could speak English Fridge and kitchenette in room Lock up garage for bicycles

Review 78:Breakfast was good for price Location with great views Ample parking Short walk to town

Review 79:plates, knifes & forks was not clean. no good feeling for breakfast.

Review 80:location was all riht

Review 81:The room was adequate at best.

Review 82:Air conditioning was good.

Review 83:The shower and toilet in our room did not function properly, but the staff moved us to another room for the remaining nights - problem solved.

Review 84:An older, well kept hotel in a quiet area uphill from the main village. Some rooms have a terrific view of the river valley, village and the hilltop chateau. Very friendly multilingual staff. With a locked bike storage cage in the free parking garage, this is a great home base for cyclists, many of whom tackle the enormously popular climb up Mont Ventoux nearby. The dinner we had in the downstairs restaurant was excellent, one of the best meals of our trip. Good breakfasts as well, with bacon and eggs as an option.

Review 85:Finding the place! Run-down in many areas. Room required a settee ( it was a suite but only provided with three upright chairs around a small table) Bathroom required a non-slip mat ( danger)

Review 86:Location; ambiance. Restaurant Parking area

Review 87:Nothing

Review 88:I was the only person staying here as the hotel had opened that day for the season. The room was great and the staff very good & helpful. Excellent breakfast, one of the better ones I had in France. The free parking is a bonus. Pretty easy walk into the beautiful town. Good pizzeria down the road.

Review 89:Breakfast was not included in the room rate and was quite expensive for a breakfast that had not much to offer.

Review 90:The hotel was situated on a hill so it gave you a beautiful view of the surrounding village. The room was comfortable and clean.

Review 91:I will not come back there!! The pillow are not confortable and toosmall! The bathroom was not clean! This logis is too old, it looks likethat noone wants to take care of this hotel! There is no conciergeduring the night, so it s impossible to get something after 9pm. I don tunderstand why I could find a kitchen next to the bed, I ve never askedthat. Anyway, it could be great for 30 euros per night and not 85!!!

Review 92:Nothing at all, rien du tout

Review 93:Pool could do with some attention, but looked clean. No provision of any equipment to use kitchenette, may be available from reception,I didn't ask as we were spending our time with family nearby.

Review 94:Great position, lovely views, easy walk into Vaison la Romaine. Very clean and comfortable bedrooms, kitchenette facilities if you have your own crockery, pans etc. Bathrooms upgraded since last visit. Small pool. Good parking facilities, outdoor or under cover. Cannot comment on food as ate with family nearby.

Review 95:Hotel is a little dated but clean and acceptable for 2 or 3 days. Breakfast was disappointing and definitely not worth the modest 10 €.

Review 96:We had aroom with an outdoor terrace overlooking the city which made the room more spacious and useable. Terrace is worth the extra money if you can get one. Undercover parking and location close to the medieval city meant we could easily walk there for site seeing and restaurants The chairs under the trees in front of the hotel overlooking the city below are a nice place for a drink

Review 97:The WWW pages give a false impression of what is really just a superior motel.

Review 98:Don't be misled by the name and photos - this is simply a motel. It is a superior modern motel, with large rooms, clean, with closed parking and a swimming pool, and it is within a 15 min walk of Vaison-la-Romain, which is an interesting old town with several excellent restaurants. But we also stayed in the old town, at the Maison d'Hôtes de l'Evêché, and there is no comparison. The latter is a private guest house with character, cheaper, with personal attention and an excellent breakfast. If you can't book there or at a similar hotel, or have children, this motel is fine for a short stay. It even had a kitchenette bench (but no equipment for cooking).

Review 99:On the top of hill and has fabulous view of the castle. Delicious meals in hotel restaurant. Friendly staff. Unbelievable price for this grand view hotel.

Review 100:No elevator.

Review 101:Parking at location.

Review 102:Loft had a very low ceiling.

Review 103:Stayed on upper floor - amazing view on medieval city and valley.

Review 104:Central for sightseeing

Review 105:breakfast was overpriced

Review 106:Good location & reception staff very helpful
