Reviews for Pierre & Vacances Le Quartz
Review 1:This was our first attempt at a Self Catered Apartment having been spoiled with Catered Chalets on our first few ski trips. We were pleasantly surprised! We had a two room Apartment, the children slept in the bedroom in twin beds and we slept on the sofa bed in the lounge area. The Sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable with a decent, firm mattress - rather than the usual uncomfortable sofa bed 'excuse for a mattress' you come to expect with these types of beds! The Apartment was compact but had everything you needed. I had come prepared with my cleaning spray but didn't need it. It was clean and tidy! The constant supply of lovely hot water was really nice. It's location was perfect, right on the edge of a gentle blue run (perfect for the kids) with views that you couldn't fail to enjoy! The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this Apartment. It's basic but very good value for money.
Review 2:The lessons were above the hotel in Belle Plagne. Sofa bed in lounge rather than separate rooms - not clear enough when booking. Lift queues at half term - hardly hotels fault.
Review 3:Ski in ski out. Ski lockers by the piste. Put in neighbouring rooms with our friends. Morning bread service. Closeness to Belle Plagne restuarants Nearby safe sledging area.
Review 4:Dark corridors, needs automatic lighting. Difficult to locate room on check in after dark. Plans of layout on the wall not lit so no use in pitch dark. Plan of layout should be on wall at reception.
Review 5:Great to ski in and out with parking on site.
Review 6:2 Roomwd apartment is too small for a family of 4( 2 teenagers). The kitchen is tiny and does not have a good choice of cooking utensils.
Review 7:Easy access to the slopes and large ski locker. Bakery service useful too.
Review 8:The walls are very thin so we were kept awake/ woken up many times by the other guests and the very squeaky doors which need oiling. We had difficulty getting through to the "main reception" in a different building to check in by telephone just after 8pm and were left standing around for 20mins before getting our keys.
Review 9:The ski in/ ski out location was good. The underground parking with easy access was helpful. The bathroom was clean with hot water. The welcome pack with useful things like washing up sponges although not necessary was a nice touch.
Review 10:Location, right on the piste. Easy access to parking. Staff was friendly and nice.
Review 11:Close approache to the ski pistes.
Review 12:I think the décor could do with an update and possibly having a check in person during high season even if late at night would be good.
Review 13:I love being able to ski out onto the slopes and the views from the window. The layout and location of the skis and being able to order bread for breakfast is also very useful.
Review 14:Poor uncomfortable couch that only really accommodated two people when the apartment was for four. No flexibility in late check out, possibly due to high season?
Review 15:Location onto a gentle blue run was excellent. TV and 2 BBC channels were excellent when relaxing at the end of the day. Clean fresh bathroom with plenty of hot water.
Review 16:The futon was a reasonably comfortable bed but a very uncomfortable sofa so there was nowhere for us as a family to relax in the evening. This was a real problem as a family with two children (9 and 12) need to rest after a long day's skiing. The kitchen was ok but some drawers would have helped. The apartment was dark making finding things difficult (in fairness this seems to be the case with all mountain apartments). The entrance is ridiculous - entering via the carpark is unpleasant and a better explanation of the maze inside would have made our late arrival far easier. Having to pay to use the safe is poor. However, despite these shortcomings Le Quartz is still good value on location alone.
Review 17:The location was superb - the best wwe've ever experienced. Everything worked and whilst small, the apartment had everything needed and the space was reasonably well thought out. The balcony was a nice bonus and the locker room was better than many we have used. The reception was nice and spacious. Everything was clean enough and it was a treat to have the final clean included in the price.
Review 18:My husband had an asthma attack during the night due to ourfriend's clothes having cat hair in them. He had to sleep in thebath because there is nobody at reception overnight. We would havewanted to get another room because my husband needed to be away fromour room but this was not possible. We were not able to find emergencyservices and it was a very stressful night. The hotel could have helpedby having more information on how to get to the hospital, how to callan ambulance, etc.
Review 19:Ski in and ski out location, clean and comfortable
Review 20:Could not fault the location; piste side, ski in and out which was veryuseful. Nice view. Accommodation fair, nothing fancy just basic and finefor a long weekend. We were hardly in the apartment as we ate out mostnights. Would stay here again as good value for money.
Review 21:The doors and walls are thin so noise travels within the apartment. I don't like separate toilet from bathroom. The sign for reception cannot be seen from the approach by road so it isn't clear where to go in. If the underground parking access had been explained in advance it would have saved me buying a ticket for what I thought was the nearest parking outside. The lighting in the flat hallway was poor so you couldn't see in the wardrobe. As with all french apartments - there are never enough hooks for clothing.
Review 22:The layout was good except separate toilet from bathroom. It was big enough - but we had only 2 people in the apartment. Kitchen was well equipped. The view from the balcony was excellent. The location was prime, right on the piste.
Review 23:Location and suitability
Review 24:room was a little worn
Review 25:location, staff, transport to the hotel, checkout times
Review 26:It was perfect accomodation for a cheap ski trip located on the slopes.
