Reviews for Hillview Lodge
Review 1:This is the fourth time that I stayed at this bed and breakfast and I can't fault it Alice and her husband the owners are fantastic and you'll enjoy a warm hospital welcome as I've always have done over the last 4 years.
Review 2:The owners were both very polite, welcoming and pleasant and the lodge was excellent. Great breakfast and lovely views. All in all... A very enjoyable experience. :)
Review 3:Noisy location beside busy road especially with windows open and premises are obviously wood framed construction without soundproofing and a good night's sleep will need earplugs to mask traffic noise, services noise and other guests arrival/departure.
Review 4:Friendly and welcoming owners.
Review 5:There was nothing I didn't like.
Review 6:The warm welcome by the proprietors and the general high standards of cleanliness. It was a delight to stay there.
Review 7:Very welcoming owners. We arrived on our motorcycles, drenched through and the warm welcome was much appreciated! The B&B section is separate from the owners residence so more like a hotel!
Review 8:Not applicable, very happy with my time there.
Review 9:The introduction, the location and the very helpful and welcoming staff/ owner. Also a very homely and relaxing atmosphere.
Review 10:The low raked ceiling at the head of the bed are in the bathroom, we banged our heads a couple of times.
Review 11:Charming, Alice - the proprietor. Very accomodating
Review 12:Pillow was a little hard for my liking but that is a minor observation.
Review 13:Very friendly welcome with a very good loaction. Clean warm and lovely outlook.
Review 14:Noise. Other guests' doors being banged shut up until 11:00pm. Difficult to relax when you can hear talking and door slamming.
Review 15:Lovely hosts. Well presented furnishings. Fantastic shower. Strong WiFi signal.
Review 16:We were at Hillview Lodge for 2 nights. We were VERY pleased with the hosts, food and accommodations! Loved watching the bunnies on the driving range! Highly recommend.
Review 17:Nothing bad but it smelled as though the room had been recently painted so we had to keep the window open to air it. As this was March, is was a bit colder in the room than it would otherwise have been. To be fair, all rooms need to be decorated from time to time
Review 18:Very friendly hosts. Good breakfast. Comfortable room
Review 19:The bed linen was not warm , it was old fashioned and quite heavy I had the weight of blankets on me all night , which was uncomfortable and I was really cold so would have enjoyed a duvet much more . The blankets were like hospital blankets and there was so many of them the weight was too much on my all ready aching legs . I didn't get much sleep as a result of the lack of comfort . The sound of footsteps overhead throughout the night also kept me awake . The sounds of showers running during the night and the noise from my shower's drain also kept me awake .
Review 20:The bed itself was comfortable , there was nice comfortable pillows The food was superb, the view was fantastic , the lady was kind enough to leave a key out for me as I was arriving late .
Review 21:Banged my head severely on the raked ceiling. The room could do with some improved fragrance..suttle residual smell
Review 22:The hosts were friendly, helpful and wonderful. Our room was a good size. The shower was roomy and lovely. Self-serve buffet breakfast was nice

Review 25:WiFi: we had problems with WiFi from the time we arrived in Belfast and it got progressively worse in the republic of Ireland although we had a UK phone that was supposed to work in Ireland. Probably not the fault of Hillview Lodge.
Review 26:Plenty of room, lovely breakfast and our hosts were charming and helpful
Review 27:I liked the proprietors as they were warm friendly great sense of humor and the most professional in all of Ireland!!!!! The room was roomy, with a working refridgerator which made this room on level of American B & B's!!!! The breakfast was delicious and they helped us out allowing us to change a future booking on their Ipad which was so very much appreciated. We would have stayed more days there if we had known the caliber of this wonderful B & B.
