Reviews for Best Western Kenwick Park Hotel & Leisure Club
Review 1:Booked a room half board as a surprise for my partner's 50th birthday and made an additional comment upon booking that he could eat whatever he chose and I would pay the difference. Therefore was a little embarrassing to be told how much we could spend on our meal.
Review 2:Very friendly service upon arrival, excellent food. Nice clean, comfortable room
Review 3:lovely room with great view of grounds. No hot water during stay due to problem with heating system serving my part of Hotel but discount offered on checkout. Staff all very friendly and nothing too much trouble.
Review 4:Tiny, outdated rooms. Appalling bathrooms. Ting single beds. 1980s decor throughout. Lots of technical problems, i.e. Blackout in bedroom, no hot water on one evening and morning. Building site directly outside bedroom window, causing huge amount of early noise. No bins in grounds. Inferior breakfasts using cheap ingredients etc, etc. At £120.00 per night, most definitely hugely over-priced. No better than a chain hotel really.
Review 5:We liked the convenient location, the generally pleasant staff and the comfortable beds, which although very narrow, were relaxing.
Review 6:The iron marked my husband's shirt and ruined it - thought the price was a little bit steep for the actual room. I've had better breakfasts at other hotels but generally all okay.
Review 7:Staff were very friendly and room was generally okay
Review 8:We informed reception of some dirt under the radiator, a radiator off a hook and bulbs not working in the bathroom. We were told this would be dealt with and they were already aware of the broken bulbs! All was the same on our return in the evening.
Review 9:Dinners were excellent. Interesting menu and well cooked.
Review 10:Bathroom not clean - including very long hairs on the handle in the shower! Bedroom very gloomy because of a huge tree just outside the window. Very poor understanding in kitchen and by restaurant of what a gluten free diet involves. Dishes offered as gluten free when they patently were not. This is important if you suffer from the coeliac condition and gluten makes you ill.
Review 11:The location. The cheerful staff The nice breakfast
Review 12:Dilatory reception staff on arriving far more interested in a group of young women in room opposite the reception ,declined any offer of help with our baggage ,just waved her hand to the stairs saying your room is ///just along the corridor ,may be when you are in your teens but a long way for elderly people she was totally inconsiderate far too young and immature for the roll . No swimming pool which I had seen in the Best western brochure( I checked with the brochure in our room and lo and behold there was the delightful pool !!!! ) This was the main reason for choosing this hotel ,had not been made aware at time of booking. The breakfast was not hot if fact tepid and why should one need to pay a further £3.95 if one wishes to have an alternative healthier breakfast i.e. scrambled egg and salmon ?; hence we had the standard well, well below standard fry up
Review 13:Location comfortable room and bed .Receptionist on booking out appeared more understanding ,however, was slightly more mature ;such a shame as such a lovely hotel and surroundings
Review 14:Upon checking in we were asked of we wanted a table booked for supper which we said yes. But was not informed that they had an event on that evening (school prom) which not only made the dining area noisy, we kept getting kids walking through the dining area and staff were clearly harassed and took my order wrong so I complained but had to eat what I was given. Due to the delay in the kitchen. Rooms and decor dated and airless, it was the most humid hot time of the year and the room was just stuffy and even with the window open it didn't help.
Review 15:The location is beautiful. My partner and I enjoyed a walk in the evening after supper. Breakfast selection was ideal and beds were really comfy.
Review 16:our friends had a water leak in the bathroom which was not fixed for the three days we were there, also their toilet did not flush properly
Review 17:staff very friendly , breakfast very good.
Review 18:Remote from the town of Louth - somewhat isolated. Typically poor English shower - low pressure and difficult to adjust water temperature
Review 19:Good food. Nice bar.. Pleasant situation in large parkland.
Review 20:The bed was so comfy - it's the first time I've had such a good night's sleep in a hotel bed. Loved the braised mushrooms for breakfast too
Review 21:Only staying for one night.
Review 22:It was a lovely hotel we were lucky to have a ground floor room that had plenty of space it was beautifully clean .I have a sister who lives in Louth and we love coming to visit her and spending time at this hotel .
Review 23:the shower in room 401 was wither hot or freezing cold. room was on the ground floor so was a bit sceptical of having windows open right on the car park
Review 24:comfort of the bed
Review 25:The wifi speed in our room was quite slow (it was good in the lounge area.) but we were right at the end of one wing.
Review 26:The tranquil setting and the friendliness of the staff. The room we had was well appointed and quiet.
Review 27:You need to like golf to like this place, otherwise over-priced for what it is. Underwhelmed by non-returnable deposit policy. Only accepted this because we were meeting others.

Review 29:Courteous staff throughout the hotel, quiet location and very good food in both restaurant and breakfasting conservatory/garden room. Rooms comfortable and clean.
Review 30:Minor niggles - room cold when we arrived but staff quickly provided extra heater till room up to temperature - no housekeeping done in room on 2nd day but we weren't bothered!

Review 36:We were disappointed that the dinner menu did not change over our 4 night stay and one evening we had to send back a steak meal which was not warm enough to eat. We asked for a morning paper to be delivered, but on 2 mornings it was not delivered.
Review 37:Our room was was lovely and very comfortable, with plenty of space for storage. We enjoyed the breakfasts and appreciated the packed lunch the staff prepared for one of our walks.
Review 38:I've stayed several times and the main attraction for me is the gym and pool. However, I was unaware until I went for a pre-morning swim that this recently burned down. A great shame, but it would have been nice to have been told - when I checked there was something in the fine print at the end of my reservation but not very noticeable!
Review 39:Generally good facilities, very friendly staff, comfortable room and nice setting.
Review 40:Poor shower in bathroom , takes ages to shower properly. Swimming pool has burnt down, not a deal breaker but this did not show as being out of action on the website when booking.
Review 41:Good staff. Very spacious rooms.
Review 42:Parked at hotel reception on check in. Had to meet friends in Louth inevening. No room in reception car park upon our return so had to park 2- 300 yards.away Walk back to reception extremely hazardous due to lackof road and pathway.lighting - not acceptable!

Review 115:This is being really picky but why does an excellent hotel have to have such rubbish bread for breakfast. Don't get me started on the ridiculous toasters !!
Review 116:The evening meal was excellent and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The staff were friendly and the beer was great.
Review 117:Wifi reception was very poor in cottages where I stayed even though theyare very close to the main buildingmobile reception was very poor. I know the hotel cant do too much about this, but could the hotel buy reception boosters as I could barely make a call on EE? couldn't use the Golf driving range as the club shop had closed.
