Review 8:Pat was so accommodating, friendly and charming - nothing was too much trouble. Large spacious room, with TV, sofa, great big comfy bed, and fabulous bathroom, and facilities. In the shared kitchen there was plenty of fresh milk, an abundance of lovely cakes, tea and coffee. The following morning Pat had to leave for the armistice service, but never rushed us out, we could take our time and leave at our leisure. Great value for money too.

Review 9:Ate from the midweek short menu - very pedestrian and should have altered to the full menu which was emailed to us after booking.

Review 10:Welcoming owner with fresh cake. Comfortable room. Close to the Scotch Corner - Penrith road and very convenient as stopover on the journey from Norfolk to the Trossachs.

Review 11:From the high quality linens and beautifully fitted ensuite to the delicious food served with flair, there was nothing we needed to improve our stay. Staff went out of their way to help us with a local enquiry and could not have been more welcoming.

Review 15:A warm welcome even though we arrived later than planned after a hard day on the bikes. Lovely big slab of cake and fresh coffee soon revived us. We had ordered dinner and food was great, good value for money.

Review 17:We had the Odette room, which was spacious, comfortable & very clean. Pat very pleasant & friendly. Had evening meal on one night which was the best meal we have had in a long time- very well presented & delicious. It really made my wife's Birthday especially the cup cake with candle & the rendition of "Happy Birthday". Hope to return for another visit.

Review 19:Rooms, food and staff were all brilliant. Patricia is just lovely and the home made cakes that are left out for the guests are gorgeous. You are made very welcome and all the little touches make it a great place to stay. We also had an evening meal there which was just great and the surroundings lovely. Couldn't fault anything at all.
