Reviews for The Beaumont Hotel
Review 1:Nothing was bad but the space in the room was a bit tight due to the size of the bed. I think it was originally a single room. Was limited surface area to put things down, perhaps a small fold out chair would be an idea. Breakfast was plentiful but not the type of sausages I like. Some people may so it's not a big issue. :)
Review 2:Pleasant position near enough to town for us to walk to the pubs. Good parking, large dining area and I saw a bar but didn't have time to use it. Staff were helpful about letting us leave our cases there early due to our car being broken into at a previous place.
Review 3:A vey clean, comfortable hotel. The location was quiet and parking facilities were very good. The proprietor was warm and welcoming. I would not hesitate to return.
Review 4:No heating in the room at all. It was Christmas Eve and like a fridge. I had to set off early on Xmas day to visit relatives so missed breakfast so can't comment on that. When I returned later that evening, the room was still ice cold with my wet towels still on the bathroom floor and no bed made etc. I know it's Christmas Day but if no service is to be provided it should have been pointed out. Unable to have a shower due no towels. The room was not nice at all:very tatty and old bathroom. I stayed there 2 years ago and had a totally different experience with a nice warm big room. Not worth the money I paid; I've stayed in far better small hotels for far less.
Review 5:Didn't spent enough time to find anything that I liked.
Review 6:Enjoyed the service, very friendly. We were lucky to stay in the wolds suite, beautiful room and spacious. Didn't want to leave ! Breakfast was gorgeous, plenty to choose from
Review 7:Rooms were quite small and dark
Review 8:The breakfast was very nice, plenty of choice and service very prompt. The landlady was very cheery and helpful and made us feel welcome.
Review 9:Good standard of comfort and cleanliness. Very comfortable beds. Offered a lovely breakfast. Manager was very helpful and nothing was too much bother for her. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay and will see u again.
Review 10:Although you confirmed my booking, the hotel claimed they stopped trading with you three weeks ago and they had not been notified of my booking. They were fully booked and arranged alternative accommodation for me. Another person had the same experience
Review 11:The friendly and efficient welcome, and the subsequent concern for my comfort. Allowing me to sit around until it was time to go to the races was a bonus, making it a good base for my short holiday.
Review 12:A very good experience with no dislikes
Review 13:The staff and management were all friendly during our stay, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The chef was extremely helpful and provided a very enjoyable breakfast. The location was only about a mile from our intended destination, so what more could you wish for! Hope to use the same location in the future.
Review 14:The hotel has been taken over recently, requires some modernisation. I would still recommend it as it was very clean and the breakfast was great.
Review 15:Friendly staff, room lovely fresh and clean
Review 16:The toilet in the bathroom was too close to the wall. I did entire this to the owner and she said she would look at it. It is a new bathroom and the shower is fab.
Review 17:The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Julie at breakfast. The room was newly refurbished and was really lovely. The bed was so comfy and the quilts so lightweight yet warm. The breakfast was the best we have had in a hotel for a long time, fab selection and really generous portions.
Review 18:Beds very comfortable, excellent breakfast, relaxed, clean, no noise at night, plenty of space to park. Basically, everything I needed during my 2-night stay.
Review 19:The staff and mainly the lady who ran the hotel were fantastic. There was not enough they could do for us. Even allowing a family member to stay on the sofa in our suit room due to a muck up with transport from a family wedding.
Review 20:Everything was good. I have absolutely no complaints and would happily stay again.
Review 21:The staff were great and very accommodating. Free upgrade, food even though I was late, lovely old building, I slept like a log and it was near to where I needed to be with work.
Review 22:Only downside was road traffic noise in the morning. We live in a very quiet road. The road noise may not bother other people.
Review 23:Friendly helpful staff. Close to Louth.
Review 24:Cold water between 12noon-4pm...apparently they switch it off at these times. We needed to get ready for a party which started at 4pm! Very old fashioned and dated. Towel rail fell off the wall in the bathroom. Dim lighting inside and out in the corridors; tricky door locking system and general 'faulty towers' feel to the whole place.
Review 25:Receptionist offered to iron my husband's shirt!
Review 26:No booking confirmation available at hotel. was given a "Make Do" room, not as booked. Cost reduced to £60. Very cold in room, no central heating but electric heater put in room while we were out but not switched on, so room still freezing on our return at 10. 30 at night. Either motor or generator running outside the room all night so did not get any sleep. Breakfast was about the only saving grace but certainly not anywhere as good overall value and comfort as Premier Inn
Review 27:Location of where we needed to get to
Review 28:The hotel is being refurbished, that doesn't impinge upon the rooms at all; however, the lack of a bar and restaurant was a mild irritation.
Review 29:The owner & staff are refreshingly pleasant and helpful.
Review 30:Pillows too soft and no other choice. Breakfast ok but v poor sausages.
Review 31:Location, clean, staff helpful and convenient. Plenty of choice of tea and coffee in room.
Review 32:The management phoned me two days before we were to arrive their tellingme their was a gas leak and that could not put my colleagues up asarranged, they arranged a B&b in Market Rasen which was much moreexpensive and did not provide any breakfast which caused me MuchEmbarrassment and I had to apologise profusely to my two colleagues, which left a nasty taste in my mouth. I was very dissapointed and upsetwith this hotel
Review 33:Nothing all was good
Review 34:The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious and very clean. Fab shower. Food was excellent. Will recommend to friends and family. Very enjoyable stay.
Review 35:Located in the midst of a residential area, the hotel location could be a challenge for those not having a car to get around. We knew we would not have a problem as we had family moving us around, but it could be a problem for those unaware.
Review 36:Everything! The owners were just wonderful, could not do enough for us. Room was immaculately clean and the building well cared for. Breakfast outstanding and cooked to order. Located in a quiet residential area, small market nearby, pub on premises. Not far from downtown Louth, about 20-30 minutes from the seaside.
Review 37:Very friendly staff, clean hotel, lovely breakfast and only a 10 minute drive to cadwell race circuit! Very happy with overall experience would stay again.
Review 38:Only thing that was strange was having to walk through dining room with case on way out while people eating breakfast.
Review 39:The hotel was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.
Review 40:Reservation booked 11 months in advance, was told it had been 'cancelled' upon check in, had room for that night but not the second one so was told I'd have to move and given that all hotels in the region were fully booked (a major sporting event was on that weekend), I had to travel over 30 miles to get a room. I was told that a recent one night booking took priority over my two night stay so not sure how that works. There was confusion over which room I was allocated for the one night and after three attempts we got one sorted, bar had no beer (only cans) as told the draft beer had run out.
Review 41:A very warm welcome upon arrival. The rooms were spacious, very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent (with the exception of the sausage).
Review 42:A very warm welcome, very clean, owner could,nt do enough to make our stay as good as possible, breakfast was excellent, will fully recommend, many thanks
Review 43:Hotel did not have our booking and had no appropriate accommodation. You confirmed that booking had been advised to them in good time. Hotel had apparently recently changed hands and they said they had other guests where bookings not received. Hotel reception rooms looked as if a bomb had gone off.
Review 44:Nothing
Review 45:The two women that run the place were super friendly and helpful. We'd had a long and dramatic trip down so got to the Beaumont after 10pm. But the staff still made us dinner and got us a piece of free cake. They could not have been nicer or more pleasant.
Review 46:Very friendly staff, the room we were allocated was slightly too small. We asked and we were moved straight away to a lovely room. Comfy bed but not king size and nice powerful shower.
Review 47:Management too new to comment - but dining chairs have to go! Limited menu but probably not developed yet.
Review 48:Genuine friendly reception and overall care. Enthusiasm for all aspects of their project. Very easy Parking. Nothing too much trouble.
Review 49:We were very disappointed in the evening meal. Not up to standard we have received before the vegetables were cold. Staff need more training.
Review 50:Room up to standard
Review 51:Wi-Fi connection to slow to be useable at the time of my visit although to be fair I suspect this issue is external to the Hotel.
Review 52:The Breakfast was a real day setter.
Review 53:The staff here are amazing, nothing was to much trouble for them. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds and great power showers. And the freshly cooked breakfast was delicious. Thanks guys.
Review 54:Cheerful and helpful staff and a comfortable room in which everything worked. An early breakfast is now available which is great news for those who have to be at Cadwell Park by 7:30 am. I didn't have it but friends who did sang its praises.
Review 55:This is the third time that we have stayed at the Beaumont and we have enjoyed it on each occasion. It is one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in, and unlike many others it is extremely homely. My congratulations to all staff.
Review 56:Very confortable and convenient, good breakfast. Lovely staff that managed to find my 2 lost necklaces and looked out for me on a local pub to deliver it! Definitely recommend!
Review 57:Room was spacious. Shower and bath. Plenty of parking space. I didn't stay for breakfast as I had an early start, but the staff offered to provide a pack up to take with me. *****
Review 58:It was a hot day and the room faced west, but no one had thought to close the curtains or open the windows, so the room was like an oven on arrival. We found and electric fan, but couldn't get it to work.
Review 59:The receptionist opened the bar for us, the breakfast was served promptly, the shower worked, the beds were clean and comfortable, the room was clean, there was plenty of parking space.
Review 60:Minute criticism, hostel a bit dated, however everything was spotless and serviceable!
Review 61:Staff really obliging, hotel spotlessly clean, breakfast outstanding!
Review 62:The absence of an evening meal is a distinct inconvenience, although the local Chinese reataurant proved a "find". WiFi was down during my visit, thanks to BT, so that was an irritant - but not the hotel's fault.
Review 63:As a base for visiting the races it worked well
Review 64:The hotel had recently changed hands. The restaurant was not operating and the staff had very little knowledge of what restaurants were available in town. The staff could not even tell us the best route to walk into town.
Review 65:For the price of the room and breakfast I would have expected a lot more. The room (wold) was a nice space but was ruined by the decoration, small bed and bathroom in dire need of being updated. The kettle was in need of being de-scaled as well as it had seen better days. It is a nice location but let down by the facilities inside which need to be upgraded. Is it worth the £95/night? Probably not. Maybe £65-70.
Review 66:The staff were really nice people and could not do enough to help. Friendly and informative. Nice and quiet location
Review 67:A great location close to the town centre and friendly staff. The new owner said she'd look at providing secure parking for motorbikes in the future - a big plus for those visiting Cadwell Park.
Review 68:Welcoming, engaging and friendly staff throughout. Single room and bathroom of generous size, warm and comfortable. Very good breakfast. A short walk to town centre facilities.
Review 69:The restaurant wasn't open, but they organised a takeaway for us and set it up in the dining room. Nothing was too much trouble. Local pub also did good good.
Review 70:The hotel is under new ownership and the new manager is still finding her feet. But her enthusiasm and friendliness can not be faulted. Her staff member (I think her name was Tina) was an absolute darling.
Review 71:Our room seemed to be next to main water tanks/cistern. very noisy when anyone took a shower or flushed loo.
Review 72:Pleasant helpful staff. Not luxurious but certainly clean and comfortable. Would definitely use again.
Review 73:Restaurant was closed, Bar was not available, room I had booked was not available, WIFI did not work, had to put towals down on floor to stop feet sticking in bathroom, breakfast looked ok but left table to take a phone call, when returned table had been cleared. Person serving food stank of Cigeratte smoke
Review 74:Only downside was no evening meal on the Sunday night.
Review 75:Very quiet and peaceful and handy location for Oulton Park race circuit and also had a nice sized car park. Very accommodating with an early breakfast as having to be at circuit early on morning.
Review 76:The bed wasn't to my liking and I didn't sleep too well. It could be me or I could have been unlucky though so I wouldn't hold it against the property.
Review 77:Good location for Cadwell, nice staff and plenty of parking. With a shop across the road and nice pub down the road I was a happy customer.
Review 78:Nothing.
Review 79:Hotel is easy walking distance from town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy. Shower nice and powerful. Free wifi had an excellent signal in our room. Plenty of parking available onsite. Local late night corner shop approx 100yds from hotel.
Review 80:The breakfast room was freezing making it not very welcoming. Although the breakfast quality was good, the presentation of my cooked breakfast was poor. Staff were very pleasant.
Review 81:Location was ideal
Review 82:pity no breakfast on sun, unforeseen circumstances explained on arrival, missed it though, always enjoy breakfast here.
Review 83:location for me was perfect comfortable room with loads of hot water lovely breakfast, as ever. Best scrambled eggs I have had for some time.
Review 84:Poor breakfast, too much timed food instead of fresh produce, cheap sausages which is such a shame because local Lincolshire pork sausages are the best!
Review 85:Good location, friendly staff, comfortable room, good wifi
Review 86:On returning to room late afternoon we found there was a very loud constant noise from the central heating pump that must have been located below our room. The receptionist advised this would be turned off at 10pm, however, she failed to tell us that it would wake us at 6.40am the next morning. It was like being located near an engine room of a ship! I complained before we left and was told some people didn't mind it. I would advise do not stay in room 15.
Review 87:Good location, easy 10 minute walk to town. Nice comfortable bar. Helpful receptionist. Room clean and comfortable bed.
Review 88:No restaurant onsite and it's a good 10-15 min walk into town. The boiler was very noisy when it started at 6am.
Review 89:Warm comfortable room in a quiet location. Friendly staff and a bar available for a relaxing drink. Breakfast was very good with a full English and decent coffee. Free car park.
Review 90:Breakfast finished at 9am on a Sunday morning which I thought was poor and checkout was at 10 , this is to suit the staff and not the customers
Review 91:Bed was comfortable
Review 92:code system on front door ! ( actually my fault ! )
Review 93:good location for me as I was working at The Riverhead Theatre 5 minutes away Also the room was spacious and quiet with plenty of hot water in the bathroom .
Review 94:Excellent stay! Run by very lovely people who care. Great breakfast and lovely staff. Superb room, very clean, nice and quiet. Close to town centre. We will be returning for our 3rd stay soon.
Review 95:We have stayed in Louth on numerous occasions before. But this is by far the best short stay accommodation. Lovely atmosphere, central location and comfortable bed. Central heating does make a noise but what does that matter? The room was relaxing and warm. Enjoy. Will definitely be staying again.
Review 96:Just a little too far out of the town centre fo a winter evening walk.
Review 97:Very friendly lady in charge, couldn't do too much for you. Room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Carlos, the chap in charge of breakfast was extremely efficient, organised, attentive and cooked a mean breakfast.
Review 98:the hotel room was clean and warm. slightly dated facilities and no fridge. the bed was a small double and not very comfy however overall it was a nice stay would defo reccommend paying a bit more for a better room though
Review 99:there were no bad parts of the hotel, nice food and a very nice cocktail bar.
Review 100:the tennerson suite room was excellent,so warm cosy and very well decorated, you could relax with a tea,and read a newspaper rather than rush out.
Review 101:Breakfast a little steep at £7.50pp. Wifi unreliable at further rooms from the router. Curtains thin
Review 102:Nice place, decent parking, helpful staff, bar on site, nice breakfast. Excellent shower
Review 103:Have to say we have stayed in a number of hotel's in the area, but for us this was by far the best. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Contacted me to make sure my booking was correct and were excellent in all our dealings. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. Will certainly stay again.
Review 104:We stay here a least 3 times a year as we have family living in Louth and we are always made to feel very welcome by Tina the owner and Tina who works in the bar. Would recommend this hotel to every one as its close to all the amenities you need in Louth.
Review 105:we were warned that our room (room 15) was above the boiler room, when it fired up around dawn it was quite noisy. But as we had been in the bar quite a while the evening before it really did not crash through our unconscious state too much. If you are either a) a light sleeper or b) sober then just ask not to be put in room 15. It did not spoil our stay, would use the hotel again.
Review 106:One of the best bars I have found in a medium sized hotel, both sizable and cosy, very nice. Dining room was also spacious and clean. Value for money and only a 10-15 minute walk into the town centre.
Review 107:There's nothing not to like. Spot on
Review 108:We have stayed before and enjoyed our stay this time we booked a suite and made our stay even better. Breakfast is extra as with many places but well worth it and saves faffing about later in the day. Location is just 10 minutes from the town which has a wide selection of eateries. All the staff and management are friendly and help full and breakfast is plentiful and good quality
Review 109:Lumpy pillows although discovered newer ones in wardrobe. Heating system coming on at 5.30. We were warned about this at check in due to our proximity of room to the boiler but were told it would come on at 6.30 though. Bit of an early start but all OK really! It was nice that they did warn us as it would have been a shock so not so much a complaint as a general comment to take into account daylight saving.
Review 110:Friendliness of staff Breakfast great quality and served really quickly. Great value too. Nice clean room Plenty of parking
Review 111:The showers ran off the mains and so they were very noisy, got woken up early by next door's one!
Review 112:The beds were comfortable, it was clean, the shower was a power shower. I asked for a room on the ground floor away from the road if possible and that's what we were given, so slept ok.
Review 113:Shower fittings a bit tired. But it was still hot and powerful!
Review 114:Advance courtesy call to confirm arrival time and offer directions. Friendly, helpful staff. Reception phoned ahead to nearby pub to ensure they would seat and serve us around finish time for evening meal service. Massively appreciated after a 5 hour drive. Cosy room and comfortable bed. No late night noise despite being Halloween. Plenty off-street parking - big group of us attending a track day at nearby Cadwell Park - less than 15 mins away, too.
Review 115:Just the fact there was no option of the evening meal.
Review 116:Pity there wasn't the option of an evening meal seen as the breakfast was amazing. Instead we ate at a local pub just around the corner which was also nice but it was raining heavily so walking was out of the question and it wasn't for enough to warrant a taxi ride hence the need for soft drinks. Although we're not big drinkers this may be off putting to some for this reason. All in all that's the only real down side to our visit as there is a bar for those evening drinks.
Review 117:We did book the cheapest room available admittedly, but it was a bit tired looking and the pillows were rather hard!
Review 118:Good breakfast, attentive staff, clean and tidy.
Review 119:Thin bedroom curtains meant street lights kept my bedroom too light for me. Lack of a restaurant for evening meals meant having to go out to find a local pub .
Review 120:Nice, clean, friendly hotel.
