Reviews for Days Inn Warwick Northbound M40

Review 1:The settee/sofa was dirty and soiled in room 11. The breakfast in Ramsdens although adequate was not of a high quality

Review 2:Excellent all round with the exception of following question

Review 3:Lack of facilities. Arrived at about 10.30pm and I wanted a jug of milk but this was not available from the hotel and none of the shops in the service station sold a pint of milk.

Review 4:Convenient location. Good basic accommodation.

Review 5:Room was dirty, you could have written your name in the dust on the curtains in the bedroom. The bedroom floor has bits all over it, it had not been cleaned prior to checking in. No toilet roll in bathroom. Beds terrible. Evening staff very, very rude.

Review 6:It was at a service station and the lobby was clean!

Review 7:would have preferred noon check out or start of 2hours free car park from 11.00am

Review 8:The whole experience bed more comfortable for me than premier Inn

Review 9:I didn't think much of the catering available at the Warwick Services, but I don't suppose that's anything to do with Days Inn.

Review 10:Easy to find, clean and friendly

Review 11:A metal bar on the side of the bath made it uncomfortable.

Review 12:Easy to book and check in, comfortable and convenient. Pleased to see the heating was on so the room was warm on arrival.

Review 13:When I entered the bedroom it was as if I was entering a sauna. The room was very hot, and even with the windows open and the air conditioning on full, it took many hours to cool down to an acceptable level. The heater must have been on for many days.

Review 14:Good location about 30 mins from the NEC at Birmingham.

Review 15:The only downside was a couple of families in adjacent rooms in the same corridor as us who let the young kids run up and down the corridor banging on each others doors and screaming and yelling until gone 10:00 pm and then starting up again at 06:45 on the Sunday morning. Could separate accommodation wings be set aside for families??

Review 16:The location was superb, within easy distances of both Stratford Upon Avon and Warwick. Good facilities on site

Review 17:We were kept awake with dogs barking most of night on both nights that we stayed, found staff to be unhelpfull when we spoke to them about it. Will not book here again.

Review 18:WIFI was available but was annoyingly difficult to find and negotiate the sign in screen, seems antiquated system. The shower had an unusual arrangement and was very stiff and difficult to turn on and off, there were no instructions available.Needed a very firm grip to operate it, an elderly person would struggle.

Review 19:Good for visit to NEC Birmingham, good choice of places to eat in adjacent motorway services, smoking rooms available.

Review 20:Should really have cooked free breakfast for the kids

Review 21:This is the second time we have stayed here. Great value for money and has all it needs. The kids love it too.

Review 22:It was clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious, and I felt very safe. The receptionist offered me a choice of rooms, and when I changed my mind she was extremely helpful. I had a really great night's sleep.

Review 23:Shower didn't work very well.

Review 24:Great location as on our route so didn't have to divert out of our way for accommodation. Free wifi which is always a bonus and handy services for some snacks and dinner if you needed it. Beds are comfortable and rooms are quiet. Stayed here twice now and would stay again. Just overnight stays both times.

Review 25:We paid extra for an executive room with a fridge, the fridge was tiny and the room very basic. The bed was uncomfortable and the room too hot. The shower was good.

Review 26:Unfriendly night receptionist. After 3 hectic days out by 11am exactly on a Sunday. Seems fair but we wanted to be more relaxed on a Sunday with a very long drive ahead. After 40-60 hotels across the UK including Days Inns I've never seen such a stern attitude - what's another 15mins? Next night a LHR Travelodge extended our checkout from 10 to 12 at no charge. At this hotel I forgot a mobile scampering out, my wife came looking for me but the receptionist 'hadn't seen me.' In fact the staff policies were so inflexible I'd give the hotel a much lower ranking. Days Inn should have a chat to their management or just stick to business travelers who need to be out early anyway! Pity as it's a great spot.

Review 27:Great for us as we went to the Heritage Museum, Shakespeare's cottages and Warwick Castle. Good services, good room with an extra bed for our 3yo. Clean and easy check-in and out.

Review 28:When we arrived we had to wait 20 mins to sign in as there was only one lady on reception. The shower didn't work and when complained nothing was done about it (it was rather dangerous because I put the hot and cold tap on got the temperature correct then turned on to shower and jumped in only to find out only the hot was going through the shower and the cold still through the tap which lead to my back being burnt). The children's bed was unbelievablely hard and the children kept waking up because they was so uncomfortable.

Review 29:It was a very convenient place for us to Stay and £66 for 4 of us was a good price

Review 30:The room was very tired, the mattress was very old & you could feel the springs if you moved. Breakfast voucher at ramsdens - food was awful

Review 31:On route & ease from motorway access - we were in transit to the norh

Review 32:The family room (no 116) had dirty pillows, no linen for the sofa bed which was broken enough towels and the sink had hair and soap in it. There were not enough towels for a family.

Review 33:We had 2 rooms which were close to each other as requested. Evening receptionist was really helpful and brought missing items to us.

Review 34:Weren't sure about where to park at first as hotel is set back from Welcome Break the car parking. A minor issue!

Review 35:Really helpful and friendly member of staff when we arrived late at night. Clean, comfortable, room was good temperature, handy for motorway stopover

Review 36:Two lights not working, Only one plug socket, which had to be used for the portable heater, as the wall mounted one wasn't working.

Review 37:Excellent position with the Welcome Break services of Waitrose, Harry Ramsden's, WHS close by. Fantastic Wifi

Review 38:Nothing not to like.

Review 39:The room was excellent value for money. A double bed for me and a single for my son. Very convenient for our visit. The only drawback was having to drive past it to get to the motorway exit before and then double back. Surprisingly quiet considering its location also.

Review 40:The room was clean and facilities good until morning when getting showered the soap/shower gel bottles were both empty. Fortunately we always carry soap with us. Obviously the cleaning staff did not carryout appropriate checks.

Review 41:The room was comfortable and clean also the continental breakfast was excellent value for money

Review 42:Once again a Days Inn room was not ready for a family. There was no bed set up for the kids, the sofa bed was broken and there was no bedding and the staff were slow in getting these problems sorted.

Review 43:Convenience and value

Review 44:The hair dryer was not working.

Review 45:The staff was good, there was a really nice man when we arrived late at night and a woman (not so nice but not rude either, she just did not seem very enthusiasted for being there) the next morning. The room was clean, the bathroom and the whole building in general too, we just found some hair on the bed, but it was just one and did not bother us. Also, the room was big and comfortable. We have been in others Days inn and we think this is the best one so far.

Review 46:The rooms need updating. The sofa was disgusting and well worn. The bed was so uncomfortable. The rooms and hall ways didn't smell right There wasn't the option above I wasn't a solo traveller I was with a friend

Review 47:That you couldn't hear traffic

Review 48:The fact you make your trainee wear a badge stating they are a trainee without a name. Sofa bed was not made up- not good when you are travelling late and need to put children straight to bed

Review 49:Good value, staff very helpful

Review 50:Staff were not helpful enough to solve problems, eg very warning room, asked for fan at reception they said that there were none available. There were 3 fans in the reception area behind the counter not being utilised.

Review 51:Clean, efficient check in and out, all facilities good and considering it is on motorway services had a good nights sleep

Review 52:Bed & Pillows not fit for purpose. uncomfortable, got very little sleep The Shower in the room (114) requires ripping out and replacing, completely useless.

Review 53:Location. Reception Staff. Cleaners do a good job. Availability of food outlets

Review 54:Staff very friendly and helpful. Instead of arriving at 7pm as planned due to delays it was nearer midnight. I rang beforehand to explain we were delayed. Advised not to worry about it at all. On our arrival was asked if everything was OK.

Review 55:prices charged for food in the shops plus having to drive all the way round to junction before our stop to get back into hotel as we were in leamington for the day

Review 56:Having shops within easy reach

Review 57:Not a major problem but the bath was on the small size and a little high for someone with mobility problems.

Review 58:The room was great, plenty of space and very clean with everything I could need

Review 59:Promised wifi and when we arrived said they didn't have any for a few days. Went to our room ( no elevator so dragged the cases up the stairs ) the room wasn't cleaned and this was 6pm

Review 60:Nothing

Review 61:Pillows! Too small and thin

Review 62:Location was perfect for our visit. It was easy to find Booking online was very quick & Simple. There was 24 hour service Free Wifi Parking

Review 63:Just a thought, but there was no heater in the bathroom. It might be chilly in the winter, and it would better for keeping towels aired.

Review 64:Clean, comfortable room. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Efficient booking system.

Review 65:Located in quiet area of the services Clean rooms Well maintained, everything worked OK Parking available close to entrance (50m) Nooise from other guests

Review 66:My partner and I didn't sleep well both nights as sounded like herd of elephants upstairs at 1am and then people loud outside at 3am in corridor, also pillows were very uncomfy

Review 67:Lots of tea, coffee. Etc available on request

Review 68:As with most of this style of hotel the rooms were to hot because there is no through flow of air and the Wi-Fi didn't work. Thought breakfast was pricy and the services are a rip off was cheaper to drive to Warwick.

Review 69:The Hotel was clean and comfortable with good size rooms and the girl on reception was able to change our rooms so we had two next to each other, although it was near the services and the motorway it was not noisy, the beds were comfortable.

Review 70:The broken, rickety sofabed for the children was filthy and there was a bloodstain on one of their sheets. The bathroom was filthy and the water wasn't draining meaning standing ankle deep in water after two minutes of showering and the room overall just felt very dirty.

Review 71:Not enough pillows and definitely not enough wall sockets. Only let down was the breakfast side of it. Anything we needed we had to go to the services which was convenient but farrr too expensive!

Review 72:Could not locate lodging with directions given. Need more exact address for GPS. Also, supermkt could sell some instant noodles in a bowl.

Review 73:Great water pressure and good mixer! Location next to food outlets!

Review 74:The room he a horrible smell, when I mentioned it to reception staff I didn't get a response, I reated myself and was responded with a simple 'okay'

Review 75:Parking was a little, way from room, bbreakfast were a little pricey,,but then all motorways are

Review 76:Room was clean, and comfortable, very little noise, considering how close to motorway

Review 77:The M40 sliproad was closed with roadworks. This made it difficult to access the hotel.

Review 78:Good facilities and easy check in/out. Clean rooms and no fuss!

Review 79:insufferable noise throughout the night from pneumatic drills, mechanical diggers, workmen selfishly shouting to one another from building works immediately outside my bedroom window. I finally got to sleep at 4am! A bad night at Days Inn Warwick.

Review 80:perfect location, plenty of car parking, big room.

Review 81:Was going to arrive about 11pm, was not informed slip road was closing 10pm,luckily arrived earlier, would I have been charged if I could'nt get into the hotel?. Breakfast disgusting almost £8 for 1egg 1sausage 1rasher bacon spoonful of beans, and a hash brown robbery Look at Premier Inns Breakfast all you can eat £8.75 that's what you call a full English.

Review 82:Hotel was good, very quiet being so very near busy motorway,no problem staying again. Staff very helpfull.

Review 83:The breakfast choices were limited - please could you stock a yoghurt that actually is yoghurt, rather than the muller confection - especially don't like that brand with aspartame sweetener.

Review 84:Good to have ground floor room with young family.

Review 85:Air conditioning very noisy, Ridiculous cost of £1 a slice if you required toast with breakfast voucher @ harry ramsdens

Review 86:Value for money very pleasant entrance with fresh atmoshere

Review 87:Bed, too soft for me but otherwise very good. Could have done with more electric sockets. If the upstairs guest wasn't continuously practising for Strictly Come Dancing throughout the night, it would have been quiet!

Review 88:Superb staff and facilities very good and excellent value for money.

Review 89:Offered voucher for breakfast for £7.95 in Harry Rams; but there is a choice of portions/prices if bought direct., which wasn't explained. Would have preferred on site catering as in other Days inns

Review 90:Value for money. Well equipped bathroom

Review 91:i requested two single beds when I made reservations months in advance and they gave us a double. Was fully booked (Silverstone Weekend!) when we arrived do they could not offer an alternative. So had to share bed with 17 year old son. Did somewhat effect my review.

Review 92:I have had better experiences at Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express. But all we wanted was an overnight room close to Silverstone, and this fitted the bill

Review 93:On the hottest July day on record, the air conditioning unit in the room didn't work properly which made sleeping very uncomfortable but perhaps on a "normal" summer day it would have been adequate.

Review 94:Room was clean and comfortable.

Review 95:I stay here every week and we were given an executive room. On entering the room the smell of dog urine burnt our eyes and had the most disgusting smell !! How could they even consider letting this room out !!! Get it fumigated :(((

Review 96:The staff changed our room no problems

Review 97:I booked a twin room as it was for me and me 11 year old grandson but on arrival the room had a double bed, when complained they provided a bed settee.

Review 98:Free Parking

Review 99:ground floor rooms are extremely noisy when people walk about above, as the construction has no soundproofing being timber framed built on the cheap. Don't even get a breakfast included in the high price.

Review 100:day I left

Review 101:See above. The only excuse I could think of is that it is an original settees and in daylight they may seem OK. Try looking at them in electric light - the stains and grease can be seen. I could not bear to sit on it or place anything on it. RJK NEEDS REPLACING WITH A NEW ONE.

Review 102:Lovely clean and new-seeming entire bathroom.

Review 103:Did request a room overlooking car park, to check up on my classic car, but not allocated?

Review 104:Good sized room (Executive) and excellent location for classic car show at Gaydon Heritage museum. Quick breakfast in M40 service area next door adequate. You have to use the services (back door) road to get out onto the A41.

Review 105:Bed uncomfortable - too hard. TV didn't work so room change was arranged. New room had working TV. Change of room not informed to breakfast team so we had to play "hunt the breakfast".

Review 106:Room clean. Bed clean. Breakfast OK. Bathroom clean

Review 107:Our first time in a Service Area Hotel and pleasantly surprised how quiet and comfortable it was. Because of it's location there's no bar but beers and wine is on sale in the M&S store in the service as well as a good range of dining options.

Review 108:The sofa bed was filthy and extremely uncomfortable with no instructions regarding the way to assemble the different parts. The TV lost signal in the middle of a movie and never recovered from it.

Review 109:The bed was comfortable. The suite was clean.

Review 110:Missed a safe in room - all hotels should have some sort of secure location for personal items.

Review 111:Clean, large room. Good continental breakfast for £4.95 extra - delivered to door. Excellent value for money. Friendly staff.

Review 112:Arrived at 23.00, only 2 deg outside and the window was left wide open so room freezing. Got straight into bed to warm up!

Review 113:Room was clean, tidy and perfectly adequate

Review 114:The toilet was dirty so I went to reception as was late evening, no one available to clean it ,I was given a dirty cloth to clean it myself. Then realised dirty towels so was given more. Then realised the bed had not been changed so was given clean sheets to change myself. No apology or refund . Would not stay there again

Review 115:I booked the cheapest double and missed in the small print that it was a smoking room.

Review 116:The hotel was good, breakfast in bed for £4.95 each. Comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering its next to the motorway.

Review 117:The long way along the motorway we had to go each time to get back to the hotel - if I'd realised it only had access from one side of the motorway I wouldn't have booked it

Review 118:We were offered breakfast for £4.95 each....but it was a total rip off. Would suggest starbucks instead which is right next to hotel.

Review 119:near to the M40, Warwick and Stratford upon avon

Review 120:*On entering originally allocated room (114) was greeted by a leaking shower system and flooded bathroom floor!! ( But quickly re-allocated to exec. room nearby. No charge.) -Parking area/hotel access partly impeded by building works on site . -No restaurant/hot food service in adjacent M S A due to refurbishment programme. -Bed too soft and springy for my preference -Breakfast room service "failed" ( I must have been in shower when delivery staff "knocked" - and then went away).

Review 121:Price; location ( convenient for Nat Agri.Centre Stoneleigh); size of ( executive) room (* but see also dislikes!).

Review 122:Room temp was either too hot or too cold

Review 123:Very comfortable king size bed, very clean throughout, nice big bathroom. Very good value for money. Easy free parking

Review 124:There was no WIFI and no bar. No on site restaurant - you have to use the services next door.

Review 125:Room was very spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable

Review 126:there is nothing at all we didn't like so well done

Review 127:this is now the third time we have stopped here it has been well worth it every time and we will be booking to return in the new year

Review 128:I wish there'd been a lift as I had to carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs.

Review 129:Was contemplating hitting the road again, but badly needed rest. The excellent price of the room tipped it for me and I had a fantastic night's sleep. As my room was at the top of the stairs it was a little noisy when others headed to their room but all in all - great amenities, nice hot shower, comfy bed, spacious, clean room.

Review 130:Room right at the end smelled a bit damp (probably OK closer to the centre) and had only 2 power sockets, if you unplugged the TV.

Review 131:Easy access and friendly staff

Review 132:Toilet roll holder in an awkward position right next to your elbow, kept knocking the roll off and had to twist to reach it.

Review 133:Spacious modern room, nice bathroom, huge bed. Very quiet considering we were on M40. Good price by advance booking.

Review 134:Booked online at a great price, hotel was clean and attractive, easy to find, handy to be in the services for food, clean quiet room with good wi-fi. Perfect for us as it is only 10 minutes from Warwick where we had to be at 8.30am the following morning.

Review 135:Failure to provide the room I booked and general "devil may care" attitude towards my reaction. There was no reason given for change and I was specific about the booking. Lack of heat in my room, very poor system.

Review 136:Location

Review 137:Lady in front desk was not very dynamic or helpful when our booking had got mixed up - we ended up paying £30 extra for an executive room as that was only available. We asked what we got for that and told a "roomier room" - it was no bigger than a standard, only difference was the writing desk instead of a sofa???

Review 138:Bedrooms were clean and large with tea and coffee along facilities and a tv.
