Review 1:couldn't lock my door from inside.insisted cash only payment.central heating set on very mild couldn't adjust.
Review 2:friendly landlady,good breakfast.cleansiness.
Review 3:Small shower spares in bedroom. But alternative lovely big commune shower if needed
Review 4:Warm welcome on arrival. Very friendly staff but not overbearing. Great location lots of things to do in area. Cash Machine across the road. Clean environment . Hot water.
Review 5:Accommodation basic but satisfactory. Shared bathroom is not for everybody, but this never bothered us at all.
Review 6:Excellent location and easy access. Very good price
Review 7:Parking can be difficult but always got a space in the road. just had to walk a bit.
Review 8:It's clean comfortable and good value for money. All I wanted.
Review 9:Very friendly owner. The B&B is located right next to Snowdon and hiking/camping shops. Breakfast was really good aswell. I would stay there again in a heartbeat for that price
Review 10:I missed there shampoo for hair. Bed was very, very soft - each partner´s movement woke me up. And walls must be made from paper - it was very noisy.
Review 11:Owners were very kind and friendly. Room was nice and clean. Location of this house is really very good.
Review 12:We did mention twice that a vegetarian breakfast was required but it came with bacon and sausage on the plate. When it was taken away to be sorted out, all that happened was that the bacon and sausage were slid off the plate and two hah browns were put on it in their place. Not ideal at all.
Review 13:Landlady was very friendly. The facilities were basic but they all worked. Comfortable warm bed is always good.
Review 14:Veggie breakfast consists of 2 fried eggs, 2 hash browns and a teaspoon of beans. No apple juice in the building.
Review 15:Friendly and helpful proprietor. Comfortable beds. Excellent location.
Review 16:Well, there isn't anything negative to say. Only maybe that the bed and the floor were creaking. So, if you are with your partner, be careful and the rest of the house will hear you ;)
Review 17:We booked double bed room with ensuite bathroom and toilet. Everything was clean and perfect. Nice staff and great location. They have some free parking spaces around. Walkable distance to bars, pubs, Post Office and actual Snowdon mountain.
Review 18:Thought I had booked en suite but had not so will make sure if I go again as I don't like shared bathrooms
Review 19:mrs Roberts lovely lady and filling breakfast
Review 20:Firstly no allocated parking or car park and b and b on main road. No ensuite but knew that before booking. Stairs quite steep and felt uncomfortable going downstairs to toilet during night. Walls thin between rooms so can hear TV and talking next door. Bed ok but seemed to be on a slant. Not as clean as it could have been. Under bed and cobwebs etc.
Review 21:Couple that run the b and b friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Places to eat close by. Breakfast lovely.
Review 22:Mr and Mrs Robert are nice. The room we stayed is unexpectedly clean and gracefully decorated, with a view of the mountain. It's within 10 minutes stroll from the train station. Overall we are satisfactory with the guest house.
Review 23:The B & B was very welcoming and had paid great attention to detail. Good location for climbing Snowdon and within walking distance of a few shops and pubs. Breakfast was good and didn't have to wait long. Would stay again.
Review 24:Initial problems with wifi router not configured properly.Owners attempted to blame poor connection from 3rd floor (I had no problem connecting) or on poor mobile service in mountains (this has nothing to do with a wifi connection, and their router should have a telephone line or cable connection for internet traffic). It was clear thewifi router was not properly configured resulting in dropouts.
Review 25:Great breakfasts. Very welcoming and hospitable.
Review 26:Old, dusty house. Cleanliness poor. Not very helpful staff. Overpriced.
Review 27:Excellent location. Though the village has not got many nice restaurants. Nice cooked breakfast.
Review 28:Shares toilet.
Review 29:Located just perfectly close to the Snowdon Mountain Railway. The lady, Mrs. Roberts was very hospitable and accommodating. Rooms are clean. Views from the room are breathtaking. Only for Idan House, I shall be traveling to Llanberis again later this year when it snows. Thumbs up!!!
Review 30:Tops of everything in bedroom covered in dust and inside door had tea/coffee splashes all over. Thank goodness for wet wipes. Otherwise bedroom was fine.
Review 31:Nice owners. Bedding freshly laundered. Good selection for breakfast. For the price to be recommended
Review 32:we stayed at idan house b and b over our one year wedding anniversary weekend and it was perfect the location is excellent we did not have to drive the whole 4 days we were there as they are walking distance from restaurants shops and can walk straight up mount snowdon from the b and b! was extremely clean and amazing value for money!
Review 33:Owner always a bit in a rush, room small and noisy and not advertised as having a shared bathroom as far as i could see.
Review 34:Good location in town, wifi worked well.
Review 35:Other guests were talking very loudly in the dining room and it carried all the way up to the bedrooms. If I'd been hoping to sleep later it would of woken me up. Maybe the doors could be kept closed!
Review 36:Budget accommodation but clean and modern looking room.
Review 37:The lady and gentlemen were very friendly very child friendly what a lovely couple greeted with a smile and conversation every morning even when the weather was bad they recommended places to go with kids beautiful
Review 38:Nothing at all
Review 39:The owner was fabulous . Friendly . She made us feel very welcome . As I was very ill when arrived I was put straight into my room . She asked each day how I was . It really was a nice place to stay . I would Definitely go again the breakfast was superb
Review 40:We had a short stay there over the long weekend. The owners were very kind and welcoming, the room was very clean and tastefully decorated. And the cooked breakfast was to an extremely high standard. Thank you.
Review 41:Everything - it shouldn't be allowed to operate. The lady host was reasonably friendly but other than that the place is a disgrace.
Review 42:Nothing, the place is shabby, dirty and definitely the worst B&B I've ever stayed in.
Review 43:N/A.
Review 44:We liked everything about it.could not fault anything.and it was our25th silver wedding anniversary which made it even more special, and theyalso made it special to for us.brilliant wish we was still there.theweek went to quick...
Review 45:Some guests were very noisy at 3am which isnt hotels fault. Although, They should have asked them to be thoughtful to others and keep the noise down. Banging doors and shouting. very disapointed this was not dealt with.
Review 46:Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was great with good facilities and a super view of the mountains. Perfect location for Lllanbaris path/train for Mount Snowdon. Also a very short walk to the bus stop to get to Pen y Pass for Snowdon. Lots of local shops and restaurants/take aways which was great after a long walk. Parking wasn't as easy as I thought as when I arrived it was busy, so I struggled to find on street parking that wasn't a short stay only area. But after a short wait somebody pulled away so was able to get a space for the duration of our stay. Great breakfast. Decor is old and dated but that never bothered us at all. It was very clean and when I stay at a BnB I look for comfort cleanliness location and friendliness of owners. All of which I am pleased to say were 5 star in my opinion. The shared bathroom was not a problem at all, but may not suit families with small children as a 5am trip to the bathroom may cause disturbance to other guests.
Review 47:We liked this little and affordable family hotel situated on the main street of Llanberis, just a few steps from Padarn Lake. The owners are very kind and we enjoyed the ham-and-eggs breakfast.
Review 48:Could here next room guy snoring. A few spiders here and there. Bathroom was a bit uninviting.
Review 49:The host was amazing and the breakfast delicious!! Room was cute and cozy! Would definitely recommend and stay again!
Review 50:WiFi was intermittent. Room was clean but a little tired and small
Review 51:Ideal base for Snowdon however don't expect much from Llanberis! Friendly landlady.
Review 52:Parking on-street could be hit and miss and the alternative was in the free carpark down by the Lake. Bathroom was very small and could be a problem for a larger person.
Review 53:Great location in the village, could walk to the Snowdon railway and other attractions, and plenty of eateries. Room was comfortable. Shower was hot.
Review 54:I wasn't able to lock the door of the room I stayed in at the top of the house on my first night. Breakfast was a bit early (7.30 to 8.30)
Review 55:The owner was very friendly and gave us great directions to go to the nearest beach when we were talking about what we were planning to do. They were also very accommodating about us arriving at 2am.
Review 56:Me and my boyfriend stayed here to climb snowdon the following day. The B&B is 15 min drive if that from the start of the railway station walk. Such a friendly woman who was kind and helpful. Very warm welcome, bedroom very clean and comfortable. Good facility's. Arrived late but a gentleman stayed up to check us in, would 10000% recommend this place to stay.
Review 57:Couldn't access the wifi well for some reason. Not a massive issue though
Review 58:Really liked the stop, owners were lovely, everything was clean and the breakfast was superb. Will be using again
Review 59:The Hotel is well situated for mountain access, several dining venues near by, as well as bus transport and the Mountain Railway. The rooms were nicely presented, clean and comfortable. Although not en suite the facilities were on the same level as the rooms. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was just right and on time.
Review 60:The professional but friendly way the guest house was run. The clean and comfortable rooms. The perfect location for walking up mount Snowdon. Value for money. Felt welcomed from the second we arrived.
Review 61:Good location, comfortable double room with onsuite shower room, could see Lake from window. Good breakfast, very pleasant owner. Only downside parking on road if you can get in, we were lucky we got last space..
Review 62:this family room is too small, constant noise comes from the window as this room is on the front just off the high street, wi-fi didnt work second day although fixed later on. if you have kids then dont bother with this B&B as they will make rude comments about your kids, see their reply to my previous review for proof.
Review 63:Nothing
Review 64:My wife is pregnant and have specific dietary requirements so we were carrying our own food but they twice refused to allows us to use their fridge and microwave due to health and safety reasons as a result we had to eat cold food and all our food gone bad by next day, will NEVER stay here again. At this price I am sure I can find many better places with people willing to cooperate for once in their life.
Review 65:Location is nice although lake padarn is not one of the best, wi-fi works ok and breakfast was nice.
Review 66:A little dated but reasonably priced
Review 67:Easy going family run convenient and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast just what you need before you climb the mountain!
Review 68:When we get to the hostel, nobody is there. We waited in front of the property for 1 hour not knowing what's going on and even do not get an apology afterwards!
Review 69:Breakfast is nice.
Review 70:Wi Fi didn't always work however I do understand that is the nature of being in a rural area !
Review 71:I LIKED my room is was clean and comfortable. It was good having free tea and coffee making facilities in my room.
Review 72:The land lady Mrs Roberts is lovely. There are toiletries in the bathrooms. Plenty of tea/coffee etc. Comfy beds. Plenty to eat at breakfast. Rooms given a quick clean and tidy during the day. We stayed 3 nights/4 days. Lovely place to stay x
Review 73:Bed was a little soft. Limited choice at breakfast (although the full English was very tasty!)
Review 74:Friendly host Beautiful view of Lake Padarn, and ideal location for exploring both Snowdonia and the North Wales coast
Review 75:Walls are a bit thin so can hear other residences in there rooms
Review 76:Excellent location for everything, from walking , sightseeing or just a relaxing break , I was doing the slateman triathlon and the guest house was ideal location just a short walk from the event
Review 77:Kamer is niet erg groot. Badkamer is erg klein en deur kan niet helemaal open. Bed is erg oncomfortabel. Het kraakt nogal en hoofdboard zit los. WiFi is erg slecht bereikbaar.
Review 78:Lady of the house was erg vriendelijk. De locatie is prima, dicht bij Snowdonia. Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de kamer op de Snowdon.
Review 79:Walls very thin, shared toilet not practical when got a 4 yr old with us. Window left open when room cleaned whilst we were out, safety hazard re child falling out of first floor window. Banister rails missing on top floor again safety hazard with children
Review 80:Small friendly guesthouse Nice breakfast
Review 81:A very warm welcome when we arrived. The property is old but very clean and tidy. Plenty to eat for breakfast. Not a complaint but payment needs to be cash.
Review 82:the shower wasnt great, parking was difficult, breakfast was nicely cooked but v. average bacon and sausages, and there isnt really a lot to do in llanberis.
Review 83:great wifi, comfy bed, great location if you want to be in the mountains
Review 84:Brilliant location for Snowdon. Visited the hydro power plant, Snowdon train and lake train. All within walking distance and left us enough time to visit Caernarfon. Lovely breakfast and very welcoming and accomodating owner.
Review 85:Close to Snowdon and Llandudno's Great Orme which was the intention of our trip. Landlady very welcoming and helpful with the local sights, breakfast was plentiful
Review 86:Hard to find parking unless you know the area. There was a noisy couple talking throughout the night which was quite disturbing. The single mattresses in the family room could do with being replaced.
Review 87:It is right in the centre of Llanberis, easy to find, clean, friendly and perfect for a weekend stay. For the price, was excellent. Staff really friendly and helpful. And free breakfast too!
Review 88:Showering facilities were not great...needs a remodel. They seem to be working on that gradually. Walls thin so when someone got up to use the shared toilet at 5:30am woke me up and couldn't get back to sleep. Breakfast is served from 7:30-8:30 even on a Sunday so when some of the guests decided they wanted to have breakfast at 7:30 the laughing and carrying on downstairs could be heard throughout the place so everyone was then awake....good ploy to getting everyone out early!
Review 89:Location was good
Review 90:The bedroom itself could have done with a bit more of a thorough clean. There was hair and some sort of product on the dressing table and stool. I woke up in the morning with a few itchy bites. Not sure where they came from but I certainly didn't have them before. Other than this I highly recommend idan house and north wales!
Review 91:Woke up in the morning to a breath taking view of the moutains and lake. Breakfast was lovely, service was lovely tge bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower nice powerful and hot! Lots of local places to eat and drink just a walk away.
Review 92:This B&B needs updating urgently, dirty teacups, spoons, kettle, plastic dirty teabag container, etc. Bathroom not fit for purpose, smallest basin, Door dit not fit the wall, open area! Looks like this problem was there 7 months ago reading other reviews. Have a rethink booking.com, £50 pn!! Pictures on your website are not what we saw! I can send you some.
Review 93:We did not like it at all!
Review 94:No en suite toilet as there were two shared bathrooms. Would have been more convenient to have an en suite toilet.
Review 95:Me and my girlfriend stayed at idan house for one night in late January. It is in a perfect location as it is 2 minutes away from llanberis pass and a short drive away from the coast. The guest house was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good as well.
Review 96:Cob webs on ceiling light shades Filthy Wardrobe top Bed very noisy and uncomfortable - double bed Chipped Dishes Front Door did not close securely
Review 97:breakfast was good
Review 98:Eating outside in the evening was surprisingly limited due to being out of season
Review 99:Location in the high street, friendly staff, use of sitting room. Good breakfast also
Review 100:Room was a bit cold and wifi may be better.
Review 101:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location: a couple of restaurants and shops around plus bus stop from Llanberis is 1 min walk. Good value for money.
Review 102:On arrival, the downstairs hall and lounge was run down ,dark and unoccupied. It also had a very musty smell. The twin room we stayed in was very basic and the decoration looked tired, not to mention dirty. The bedding was clean, however, the underneath revealed stained and unclean mattresses. Also, the carpet was heavily stained. In their advert, they advertised a " hearty welsh breakfast" but it turned out to be a very basic, unappetising English breakfast. Very disappointed and could have done better with the £60 it cost me for the night.
Review 103:The location was central and convenient for local attractions. Despite the owner being on holiday, the covering staff where welcoming and helpful.
Review 104:There was nothing we didn't like about this B+B
Review 105:The location of this B+B was perfect, the room we had was great as it had its own toilet and shower, breakfast was great, the value for money was great.
Review 106:Very central location, stayed in one of the family rooms which had plenty of space, accommodation was very clean and a very good breakfast was served, found the wifi to be very fast even on the top floor. Overall great value for money
Review 107:Woul have preferred on suite. Would have liked a bath.
Review 108:Central position in llanberis - 10 min walk from race check in point/ snowdon railway. Friendly owner. Clean facilities. Great breakfast. Value for money. Free wifi - very important as mobile signal very poor !
Review 109:Unfinished shower cubicle No toiletries Bed not firm enough - sagged a bit No information in room WiFi did not work No private parking Advertised as en-suite bathroom but it had a very tiny shower cubicle. Unable to contact staff in the evening to ask time of breakfast or any other information. No answer to bell - tried on 2 occasions.
Review 110:Nice and quiet Adequate breakfast but no choices Handy for main street - pity about the parking
Review 111:Walls a little thin so you could hear a faint mumble from other rooms
Review 112:Value for money was good Comfortable beds Location was good close to the mountains and lakes
Review 113:Not being en-suite Parking a bit difficult
Review 114:Scenery of lake and mountains Owner was very helpful and friendly Lovely breakfast The Heights restaurant nearby lovely food
Review 115:Very friendly and hospitable staff who were very forgiving when we had trouble with our keys and getting in at the end of the night! Excellent location for our weekend activities
Review 116:Rooms not well noise insulated, so can be a bit noisy depending on other guests.
Review 117:Excellent quality for the price; good location; friendly, efficient staff; great wifi; good quality sleep.
Review 118:You cannot beat Idan House on value. £30 for the night is amazing value. I have never had any trouble parking and there are lots of restaurants / shops in the local area to prepare yourself for a long day's hike. It's a bit shabby in places; some rooms need a coat of paint. But you can't expect the Ritz Carlton when you are only spending £30. If you just want somewhere warm, safe, clean and comfortable for a good night's sleep, you won't go wrong at Idan.
Review 119:Parking 50m away, but manageable; stairs to 1st floor steep and narrow, but okay with care.
Review 120:Comfortable bed, good WiFi, lovely breakfast, hospitable hosts, view terrific, nice village
Review 121:We stayed in room 1. This has an adequate en suite however, we got the impression that the building work was incomplete. It didn't cause any issues but it would be nice for it to be finished.
Review 122:Location for Snowdon was excellent and it was good value for money. lovely breakfast and very pleasant owners. It was clean and everything was supplied. It was also quiet and comfortable.
Review 123:A good place to stay for a cheap price. A very nice and helpful lady is running the guesthouse. Enough breakfast for even an avid eater and hiker like me.
Review 124:The mattress was of a poor quality and the duvets didnt smell or look fresh. Overall has a bad nights sleep.
Review 125:Good tea and coffee facilities staff always there if we needed anything.
Review 126:Having to share a toilet, although they were clean and well maintained. There was also limited car parking.
Review 127:Good breakfast Really good location and friendly owner.
Review 128:The shower was a disaster, we couldn't take a proper shower as the water was sooooo slow, shower head holder was broken and lots of refurbishment to be made. Parking was a bit of a hassle having to park a little far from the b&b. Sorry but wouldn't recommend this hotel. :(
Review 129:It's close to the Snowdon railway mountain, bed was comfortable and nice breakfast.
Review 130:Woken up at 5.30 by other guests showering. Noisy as family in room above constantly moving across floor. Narrow staircase to carry suitcase upstairs. Early breakfast 7.30-8.30 am.
