Reviews for Woodshoot B&B
Review 1:Room itself was quite small for the size of bed. Never like staying in a room where the bed takes up more than 70% of the room and you have to shuffle around the bed. Heating seems to be on a timer. We had gone out for the evening, not leaving heating on as don't like to waste energy by heating an empty room. When we returned about 11pm we couldn't put heating on so assume it's on a timer. Luckily it wasn't TOO cold.
Review 2:Proprietors welcoming and friendly, made us a cup of tea on arrival then sat and chatted for a while before showing us to our room. Breakfast pretty good ( BIGGEST selection of cereals I've ever seen ) but bacon and sausages had obviously been kept warm and bacon was quite dry .
Review 3:Nothing
Review 4:The hosts ,Richard and Linda,do provide the best service and rooms for people who stay at their B&B. Also, Richard showed us around the huge orchard that we learned lots of knowledge regarding how to plant strawberry and raspberry. A stopover stay but we do have a good memory of this B&B.
Review 5:Very friendly hosts. We were greeted with a cup of tea before being shown our very clean and nicely appointed room. Fantastic breakfast, best we've ever had.
Review 6:This is only here as a warning to keep your eyes open, especially if using satnav and the signal cuts out! The sign from the main road to the property is not easy to see in the dark, so people arriving at night need to watch out carefully ... or they could install lights so the sign could be seen better.
Review 7:The room, the facilities, the people.
Review 8:Extremely welcoming and friendly hosts who were most helpful. Linda and Richard were more than happy to provide information on local attractions. The offer of coffee or tea on arrival was appreciated.
Review 9:nothing
Review 10:late arriving, met by both owners, excellent accomadation ,could not make breakfast early start, asked for packed lunch, lovley, cannot recommend enough, thank you, will return.........
Review 11:Lovely hideaway with a simple, comfortable room, spacious and well equipped bathroom and amazing breakfast cooked fresh by Richard and Linda - who are very friendly hosts.
Review 12:Nothing to dislike.
Review 13:Everything was spot on. Bed was comfier than our own as were the pillows. The early Sunday breakfast was no problem (as it was for colleagues who stayed elsewhere). The greeting was professional but extremely friendly. There was nothing I could suggest to improve this wonderful B&B as they have everything covered. And the location was just lovely.
Review 14:Accomodation very good, though the room a little tight for a king size bed. Bathroom excellent.
Review 15:Location, ideal for visiting Lichfield, Shugborough N.T. (with member limitations!) and National Arboretum & Memorial. Breakfasts excellent, though I only got as far as the fried option which included the yummy Shugborough Sausage, after which I was hooked, though another guest's Scrambled Egg with Smoked Salmon looked delicious! Good village pub food plus excellent options in nearby Lichfield. Masses of parking and tourist info. from excellent and amiable hosts , Linda and Richard. Would not hesitate to return if wishing to revisit area.
Review 16:absolutely nothing!
Review 17:Wonderful hospitality, host gave good instructions about dinner options in the evening and road directions for the trip ahead. Would stay here again when next we visit the area. Highly recommended - an oasis off the motorway.
Review 18:Very nice clean and modern room, with blackout blinds, good TV, nice shower, and working Wifi. Breakfasts had a very large choice of cereals and lovely cooked to order options. Very friendly owners.
Review 19:Not a thing.
Review 20:Made to feel welcome from the point we arrived. Great room, wonderful breakfast with locally sourced produce and Excellent hosts. Guaranteed to return, highly recommend.
Review 21:The Wifi was somewhat unreliable, but I experimented with different parts of the room and could find a signal. The owners were also happy to have us go to the lounge in the main house and use the wifi there.
Review 22:We loved the breakfast, the cleanliness and the owners. It was a nice location if you have a car because it is quiet, but close to Lichfield and Alrewas. Very good value-for-money...the best we had in 10 nights in the UK this trip.
Review 23:none
Review 24:The setting for this B&B is lovely, fabulous garden, very nice owners made us feel welcome straight away and we got discount on our meal at the local pub. A very enjoyable stay.
Review 25:Mark and I stayed on Saturday for one night as we were attending a wedding at Alrewas Hayes. Words cannot describe what a truly great place this is to stay. The hospitality was second to none. We arrived early evening and after a lovely introduction we were shown to our room. Room was extremely clean and well presented with lots of homely touches. We were asked if we would require an evening meal, which if we were staying in for the night we would most definitely taken up the offer. After a comfy sleep, breakfast was served at our chosen time. The choice was extraordinary. From toast and jam to a full English breakfast all with locally sourced products. I opted for cereal followed by scrambled eggs on toast which was wonderful. Mark had the full English which he was extremely happy with. Topping up of morning refreshments was never too much for the lovely couple, they couldn't do enough for you. All in all a completely enjoyable stay at the Woodshoot, we will be spreading a good word to all our family and friends. Thanks again.

Review 30:Really friendly welcome, very comfortable bedroom, lovely shower room & splendid breakfast. Beautiful garden. Will definitely use again.
Review 31:To be very picky, part of lane to B & B was full of potholes - just have to take it slow. Room on small side, but fine for a night or two.
Review 32:Very welcoming and obliging hosts who provided a great breakfast with local produce (we took home some local bacon & sausages). Very clean, well appointed, good bathroom, comfortable bed in self contained unit/lodge, well away from main road and any noise. Conveniently near National Memorial and Lichfield.

Review 43:Accommodation was an annexe separate to main buildings, nice and quiet, exceptionally clean with lovely facilities. The owners were so helpful and friendly. The cooked breakfast was made from locally sourced ingredients and was superb. 10/10 rating
Review 44:The wet weather meant that the first part of the driveway to the property was puddled with small potholes. However as we rounded the corner, this problem had been rectified.
Review 45:Our hosts were helpful, friendly and kind. The room was very well appointed, cosy and comfortable too. Breakfasts were superb.
Review 46:Very friendly owners. Breakfast plenty of choice and good food. free to come and go as you please. A variety of things to do and see in the area.
Review 47:The 'eco friendly' shower was a fine drizzle, weak and very spluttery. It was almost hard to get wet enough to wash! Not too happy with, that but all else was great.
Review 48:nice room, great breakfast.
Review 49:Linda & Richard are very welcoming. Very comfortable room with everything one would need and an excellent choice at breakfast.

Review 64:A very quiet and peaceful spot and owners who have thought of everything that anyone could need on holiday. Our breakfast was delicious and included excellent home-baked bread.
Review 65:I stayed for two nights and felt at home from the moment I arrived when after a cup of tea with my hosts Linda and Richard I was shown to my very clean and well appointed room. I have stayed in many hotels and B&B's yet have never had the option of over 20 different breakfast cereals followed by a cooked breakfast of the highest standard. This is a super B&B run by a lovely friendly couple. Highly recommended, 11 out of 10. Thank you for making me so welcome. Ian
Review 66:I had been listening to the Wimbledon men's final on Radio 5 Live during my 3 hour journey to the B & B. The match was just about to finish and lovely Linda welcomed me in and sat me down to watch the final 2 games with a cup of coffee before I checked in. How kind of her. Shame Federer didn't win. My smoke detector went off loudly at around 10.30pm so I contacted the owners who came straight over (there was no fire and it seemed to go off of its own accord). They took it away and even brought me another one from their own home! A lovely couple who are perfect at what they do!
