Reviews for YHA Snowdon Llanberis
Review 1:very bad
Review 2:We asked for cancellation but the lady was not nice and refuse to send me a refund and the hotel was so dirty and the sheep inside the main entrance.
Review 3:Was very cold in our bedroom. No TV either. Price was high for what you got, hotel room would have only been £5 more.
Review 4:Helpful staff, let us check in early after a midnight walk
Review 5:Great location for walking Snowden or mountain biking. Great hot breakfast in morning with selection of fruit juices /cereal and fruit for only £5.25
Review 6:Very helpful staff and good location. I booked a double room for myself but got upgraded to a quad room. The location was good, place was quiet and really clean and overall excellent value for money!
Review 7:Bathroom facilities could be improved by having basins in the cubicle with the toilet, for more privacy in mixed bathrooms.
Review 8:Everything was fine, very impressive for the price.
Review 9:First shower was hot and powerful but second one wasn't
Review 10:Room sizes were good compared to other hostels I have been in. I enjoy the sense of freedom in a hostel eg you don't feel like you ate in someone else's house like a bnb
Review 11:The bedding smelled very slightly damp. £52 was quite expensive for a twin room in a hostel. I've stayed in many hotels with more luxury and breakfast included for the same price (admittedly not in Llanberis though!)
Review 12:Plenty of parking Friendly staff Good options for catering/catered for
Review 13:Fire alarm went off one morning due to burnt toast. The alarm in the kitchen should be changed to a modern heat-sensing alarm rather than old-fashioned smoke alarm as it reduces false alarms.
Review 14:Location is fantastic! Kitchen is large.
Review 15:The lady at the reception (Anne?) was extremely helpful and Friendky. She got out her way to arrange for my breakfast to be packed and left in the fridge for me early departure.
Review 16:I do believe that this place really need some refurbishment (e.g. the sofa in the lounge really smells bad, the curtains in the bedroom are really old with stains...but we do notice some improvements that surely are coming along little by little).
Review 17:What I liked most is the staff, always there to help and very flexible with request (especially food). The evening meal was delicious and really made me feel full.
Review 18:Most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, but then I hate hard beds.
Review 19:Nice location, clean, good breakfast and had all the basic facilities needed.
Review 20:It's up a steep hill. Not good if youve just climbed snowdonia nor if you want to duck to the shop. No wifi. Staff guessed information rather than having any concrete knowledge.
Review 21:Very clean. Great breakfast. Nice views.
Review 22:The room was a little chilly, but once in bed I was nice and warm.
Review 23:Staff were really great and accomodating, the food was absolutely fab abd great value.
Review 24:Staff where so friendly and helpful during my stay, travelling up I encountered bad weather but they got in contact and told me not too worry about turning up late....last minute decisions on having food were dealt with ease...
Review 25:Leave
Review 26:The Best pace to stay at Llanberis. Very Friendly staff, the Best faccillites, I will be back again. Perfect if You want spend good time in Snowdon. Thank You
Review 27:The walls are quite thin and the rooms are cramped. But its a hostel not a hotel, you shouldn't be expecting any more for the price.
Review 28:Great value for money. Theres a shop and a pub (the Heights) that do excellent food about ten minutes walk down the hill. Great location for Snowdon walks. The morning view over the lake and mountains was cool. The shower was actually really good.
Review 29:The walls are pretty thin so if you have noise neibours then you may struggle to sleep. The beds are quite firm and unfortunately there is no wifi. These are all minor things and didn't detract from what was a great stay.
Review 30:A nice comfortable place with lots of great facilities like the drying room and kitchen. The staff are super friendly and very helpful! The location is great with very pretty views of the surrounding mountains. An ideal Base for heading out on activities in the local area.
Review 31:This was our first experience in a youth hostel with our kids, aged 7 and 11. I thought it was quite expensive for what you got at £185 for 2 nights and an extra £18 for breakfast.
Review 32:Location of hostel was great and staff very helpful.
Review 33:Only little boggles is there is no wifi and the cooker was a little grimy but probably due to other hostel users. But both are just being realy picky.
Review 34:Great location especially for those into outdoor persuits. Friendly staff and all the facility's you need.
Review 35:Thought that the rooms were a bit cramped with eight people in them. Suggest one set of bunks is taken out and replaced with some lockers or tables. Beds were adequate but not too comfortable.
Review 36:Staff who went out of their way to help and provide information. Very good breakfast and dining area. Enjoyed the common room and also thought that the drying room was a very good idea. Thank you to Lucy, Mike and Jeannie for an enjoyable stay.
Review 37:Sanitary hygiene bin was nearly overflowing. Home made soup didn't take into account various salt/pepper tastes of people (check taste before ordering). WIndy narrow single lane drive up to hostel: if an oncoming vehicle came along serious reversing would be required.
Review 38:Really helpful staff. Great views only a few minutes walk above hostel. Comfy lounge.
Review 39:No soundproof. I could even hear the next door plugging in the sockets. The room is very small, not much storage space. Not user-friendly for first-time mountaineers; no free map or any guide, and everything is charged extra. Beds and linens need to be made by ourselves. No one is in the reception from 12-5, and we need to get a passcode every day before 12, or otherwise we can't get in the hostel. The staff is not very helpful to our queries, and they did not answer the phones regularly. I called 5 times, and only once the staff picked up the phone.
Review 40:Good value for money, very reasonable price, good self-catering kitchen with all the equipments you need, convenient to go on the llanberis path.
Review 41:there is not clear road sign from the main street. 下午5点才能check-in.
Review 42:staff is very helpful and accommodating. the room is clean with washbasin. excellent for exploring local areas.
Review 43:A little difficult to operate the secure door key after closing but nothing major.
Review 44:Clean and well located at the back of the town up the hill a little. Also they serve food and drink at reasonable price (food to 8.30 I think). Breakfast was very good value - I had a very good vegetrarian breakfast for about £4.
Review 45:Room was a bit small and bed not particularly comfortable
Review 46:Friendly helpful staff, good breakfast
Review 47:Helpful staff, super comfy bed, spotlessly clean, nice lounge and nicely equipped kitchen
Review 48:Very well maintained and very clean for the name of Hostel. Very nice location. Food was excellent. Staff very friendly n cooperative...
Review 49:Its only a small one, but no plugs by the bed and only two sockets in the whole room :(
