Reviews for Art's Hôtel
Review 1:In British hotels, it is customary to provide drinks-making facilities in the bedrooms. I don't know why the majority of French hotels don't do this, but it is something that I miss.
Review 2:It's nearness to the beach, shops, cafes and public transport.
Review 3:Having to pay 10 euros for a 3 year old to have breakfast 12 for an adult, which was no better than a budget hotel chain who only charge 5-7 we were only a few days past high season but the hotels restaurant and bar are closed for half the week, Their lose was others gain, as the resort was very busy.
Review 4:The size of the room which was clean and comfortable
Review 5:Great location close to beach and restaurants but still quiet especially in rooms at the back. A warm welcome and excellent service. The room was quite small but in superb condition, the bed was comfortable and the shower was very good. Very well maintained hotel - would stay here again.
Review 6:We were lucky with the parking but this could have been a problem as it is a very popular location.
Review 7:The location of this hotel is amazing just a one minute walk to the beach and all amenities. We had a family room (sleeps 3) that had a small courtyard garden, it was wonderful and even had a fridge. It was a shame we were only here for one night we would have loved to have stayed longer.
Review 8:Room was quite small. Noise from other rooms ie beds creaking above and people not being thoughtful of others. Very hot room but it was very warm July?
Review 9:Location fantastic! Room nicely presented.
Review 10:Air conditioning or room fans, would be a great addition to the bedrooms.
Review 11:Alex, the new owner, and his staff are friendly and professional. The bedroom & shower were spotless and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast offered a great selection of food, from ham & cheese, to fresh fruit, cereals and breads.
Review 12:Stayed in triple room for two nights. 8 year old very comfortable on the single bed. Location is great, a two minute walk to seafront. Has a gentle relaxed vibe Lovely staff
Review 13:Only down side was that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. this seems to be standard in France though.
Review 14:Location excellent being just outside the village center but right next to the beach, cleanliness was fantastic, the staff were very friendly, The rooms had modern decor and were very comfortable, For small rooms the room layout was fantastic giving a feeling of much more space, facilities such as the restaurant and bar area were great.
Review 15:Very friendly, clean room, excellent place to stay, breakfast very good. This place is to be recommended and commended for it's professional approach yet being friendly.
Review 16:Wine bar was being renovated but there are so many places to choose for refershments within a few minutes walk.
Review 17:Great value and excellent location. Book the rooms with a terrace - you have your entrance, somewhere relatively private to sit outside and relax. The beach was under 2 mins walk.
Review 18:Brilliant location, so close to the shops, cafes, restaurants and beach. The rooms were comfortable, had everything you need. The staff were very helpful and pleasant....
Review 19:Problem with parking on the street. When checking out I asked to pay and was told it was taken care of by my credit card booking. Some time later I received a call telling me I had left without paying and would I kindly return to the hotel to pay. I duly wasted the time by returning and then discovering that normally it could have simply been processed but there was a problem with the hotels code and anyway the member of staff who had told me I could leave was not authorised to do so!!
Review 20:It was clean and close to the sea.
Review 21:Accident with glass of wine, charged 50euros whcih though was much too much!! i agree a charge is fair but not that amount.
Review 22:A short walk to the lovely beach.
Review 23:Friendly people, been near the beach.
Review 24:Very nice proprietor. Hotel being updated and will therefore warrant higher score on completion. Beautiful location by the beach.
Review 25:PARKING COULD BE DIFFICULT I HAD A MOTORBIKE AND WAS ABLE TO PARK OFF ROAD

Review 32:great location, wonderful owner, so close to beach and town...just a two min walk. Will definitely be back to stay here.
Review 33:Hôtel propre, tout près de la plage, personnel avec le sourire et accueillant. Franchement, rien à dire.
Review 34:staff attitude most ecellent
Review 35:Good Breakfast
Review 36:Location is excellent - great access to beach and restaurants. Julie on reception was extremely helpful and we were so impressed we've already booked another two stays at the hotel over the summer.
Review 37:Could hear people moving around upstairs.
Review 38:This hotel suited us perfectly. It was off the beach and not overlooked. The beach and restaurants were 2 minutes away. We booked the more expensive (but not much) room with terrace. This actually meant that we were a level below the hotel. There were just 4 rooms with their own area and private access to the side street. This meant that you did not have to go through reception each time you left the hotel. There is no view but you get the view all the rest of the day when you are out and about. We prefer not be overlooked and private but close to all the amenities The room had a small fridge so we tended to go out in the morning and buy our breakfast (melon, fruit, croissants and orange juice) from the local bakers etc. We then ate this on our private terrace rather than pay hotel breakfast within their ‘time constraints’ (we like a good lie in sometimes when we have a quiet day planned). There is no kettle etc so make sure you bring your own. We always have our travel kettle and thermos teapot with us, as we like a couple of cups of tea before having to do too much in the morning (we are English after all). This is not a ‘Hilton’ or ‘Ibis’, nor does it pretend to be. It is has its own character. The town is not St Tropez or a party resort, as the visitors are just nice normal people and not ‘pretentious’ or ‘loutish’. The town is geared up to welcome this type of visitor. There are some lively bars but also havens to visit and just chill out. When we visited in June 2014 the age group went from babies to people with difficulties getting around and everyone seemed happy. Just a final note. Great for cycling (plenty of hire places) and coastal walking. The rock pools and the life guard protecting the beach are great for the kids... Room Tip: Room 3 is the best one for the terrace for 2 people
Review 39:Room rather small and cramped. Lift not working and we were changed to a 2nd floor room approached by two flights of steep stairs
Review 40:friendly staff - good location for town and beach
Review 41:The soap dispenser in the shower didn't work very well and no place to put soap in the shower.
Review 42:friendly staff, my dog was welcomed and good areas to walk the dog, closeness to beach and restaurants. Room was very clean and quiet.
Review 43:Pretty small and dark room. Extremely small elevator - the only way down inside the building? Strange water colour at the beach. Overpriced but good restaurant for the evening.
Review 44:Good location close to small beach. Nice breakfast and interesting restaurant for a dinner.
Review 45:Small bedroom and tiny shower room with handbasin in the bedroom. The free parking was private but not securely locked overnight.
Review 46:Excellent location . Very close to beach and bar/restaurants/shops. Patio rooms very quiet.
Review 47:The rooms were very small, and it was only possible to get a hot drink at breakfast time, so if you wanted a drink at any other time you had to walk into town. It was also noisy at night due to the bar which operated at the side of the hotel. In reality this hotel was more like a bar with rooms, than a true hotel. We had a room with a 'terrace' which was actually wide enough for two chairs with a view of a wall, as had all the terraces!! There wasn't any a/c so you had to open the windows - hence the problem with noise - and mosquitoes! Have been to this area many times and would return, but not to this hotel.
Review 48:Location was good for the town, the beaches around here are very good and there are plenty of places to eat.
Review 49:We booked a room with a terrace and we did not receive as we were on 2nd floor. The lift was too small- it was a struggle to fit the pushchair in. There was no air conditioning and the room was stifling. The hotel bar was closed on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
Review 50:The hotel was a great location for the beach and centre. The rooms were very clean and staff were great.
Review 51:No aircon Too warm Poor quality linens Small rooms Wifi by the 4 hour code is a pain. Parking is limited
