Reviews for Ramada Hotel Warwick

Review 1:This hotel bears very little resemblance to a Ramada without the corporate look and truly international ambience you would expect of a Ramada. Clearly a franchise where the hotel side of the business is somewhat tired, happy to put a few bums on seats between weddings. The reception areas are clearly where all the investment has taken place in recent years and it looks to be a great place for holding private functions. The English breakfast was terrible with the kind of sausages that discerning British people simply do not buy!! i.e. the sort made from porcine scrap such as minced pigs ear, lungs and brain mixed with a lot of bread - probably around 5% pork. The orange juice, however, was excellent.

Review 2:Very convenient location.

Review 3:Our room was beside a corridor door which squeaked hideously every time someone went through. Flood lights outside the room made it like daylight inside all night long. People stood directly outside our room smoking and talking at all hours. We generally had a very poor night's sleep which is unusual as we use the hotel regularly and have always enjoyed our stays. When I asked to change rooms I was told there were none available and not attempt was made to rectify the problem.

Review 4:The beds are always comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and pleasant

Review 5:Room service breakfast ordered due to early appointment. Breakfast did not arrive within time stated and reception were not helpful when we enquired. Had to have breakfast in dining hall which was later than we needed.

Review 6:The evening meal was great, best curry I have ever had.

Review 7:The breakfast in the room Christmas Day. Order placed with desk with specific requests and the breakfast delivered was almost inedible.

Review 8:The room, although it needed some finishing touches.

Review 9:poor breakfast the cooked part wasn't actually cooked and sent it back but the same plate came back re cooked poor english from the staff reception staff were fine

Review 10:room was great location was great

Review 11:Reception staff were miserable. I had no phone signal in my room. Not good for a business traveller. Room phone was not connected. Room smelt. Breakfast was only average.

Review 12:Comfortable bed but not much else that I liked

Review 13:Clean and comfortable hotel with very friendly and professional staff. Good location with easy direct roads for Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Stratford upon Avon and Coventry.

Review 14:Ground floor room with broken curtains meant anyone could see in mentioned it to staff as i was leaving and they said they knew but were undergoing refurb - i didnt mention it until leaving but they shouldnt rent a room out at full price knowing that. No soap in bathrooms, only in dispenser in shower, weird holes in tiles surrounding shower, looked scruffy. I phoned night before to confirm an early check in but it still seemed to be a surprise to check in staff

Review 15:Remote and quiet but very close to towns and motorway

Review 16:As there weren't many guests there was no hot buffet. I had no time to wait for hot food to be cooked for me. My fault but l had to leave pronto

Review 17:very reasonable price

Review 18:The staff service, as soon as we walked in we were not greeted and had to wait before being attended to.

Review 19:The hotel had comfortable rooms, great dining area with breakfast included within the room rate.

Review 20:Our "quiet" room was directly above the room in which a tribute band was playing. The water pressure in the shower was poor.

Review 21:The food in the Kevi Indian restaurant was suprisingly good.

Review 22:Had to move rooms because of lighting issues and BUGS in the bathroom. Second room had bugs in the bathroom too. Manager not interested, declined to respond to emails requesting explanation.

Review 23:Good location for our needs. Rooms were a decent size.

Review 24:Rooms were pokey and tired looking. Our room smelled damp - clean but things broken in bathroom. We had booked 2 twin rooms but were given 2 doubles. Food was ok, had to wait a long time for a table even them had to eat in bar area where seated by is not ideal to eat - more lounging.

Review 25:Location was perfect for us

Review 26:The staff throughout were helpful and professional in their area of work. The resturant was great..the breakfast fresh and well presented.....best Indian food that we have for many years and the whole stay great value for money.

Review 27:Took 5 telephone calls to sort out payment that shouldnt have been taken prior to visit as was on a cancellable deal.Hardly got any sleep due to room over reception had smoking area underneath window and had 12 people drinking shouting and smoking at 2a.m. after being woken up 3 times already. Knocked on window to attract their attention then again 2.30am was about to ring reception who when told in the morning didnt seem bothered, pay the extra for chesford grange up the road.!

Review 28:We didn't enjoy eating the breakfast on the second day that had been produced for the breakfast on the first day. It was obviously left overs from the previous day because we ate late and there was a load of food left over. The bacon was inedible it was like leather. The room number 104 was so small and should have been classed as a single.

Review 29:Not a lot

Review 30:The room was a little worn, but given we were not in the hotel for long, it wasn't too much of an issue.

Review 31:The bed was comfy and the room was warm. We were on the front of the hotel next to the road and it was pretty quiet, didn't really notice any traffic. Breakfast was really good.

Review 32:I stayed in an executive room and there were a lot of things broken .Lacks attention to detail such as soap in the bathroom. Bottled water available.

Review 33:The food was very nice

Review 34:Evening meal in their restaurant small portion and staff needed better customer service. Hotel badly needs an update.

Review 35:Restaurant breakfast buffet good. Quiet room (101)

Review 36:The hotel is situated between Stratford an Warwick but unfortunately there is nothing near it unless you go out in your car as its quite isolated

Review 37:The staff are friendly and approachable.

Review 38:The toilets was not working at all. Booked for double room with a double bed but they gave me a small double room with two single beds had to complain and they put the two beds together to make a double and when I noticed the toilet was not flashing could not take it anymore. Staff were very good and helpful. Moved us to another room but they had a party below the room. We took it because it was better than the first room. I found this to be way below the standards of ramada withstanding the fact that I stay in hotels every week around the world.

Review 39:nothing apart from the receptionist ( staff )

Review 40:No wi fi in room 115 so had to move rooms.Fire alarm went of at 7.30 in the morning and was ear piercing.

Review 41:Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 42:Because of the layout of the building, no lift is available, so ask if you need some assistance with your luggage. The room was of a good standard decoratively, but was let down by a severe lack of curtain hooks - something small, sure. But this made my room (236) look tatty when the curtains were closed. For the spending of £1, you could lift the standard to quite a degree. The hotel is also suffering because there is a refurbishment programme going on right now. In the longer term, this can only mean better standards being offered, so well done to the management for embarking on the project. Certainly my stay was not affected by the works.

Review 43:Great for staying close to Warwick or Leamington Spa. Ample parking space offered for guests. A good value hotel that offers a reasonable standard of comfort and decor to its guests. The food offer is comensurate with the general hotel standard, not 5 star, but generally acceptable. The hotel is run by a mainly Indian origin staff base, so there is little surprise that the mix of food offered in the restaurant is a mix of Indian and UK dishes. The breakfast offer is a buffet with both continental and cooked UK breakfast being offered. I heard or had no complaints whenever I attended the restaurant and I found that the price points were good value as compared to some other establishments.

Review 44:Restuarant awfull never eat there poor quality choice portions expensive A big disappointment as web site states best choice of Indian cuisine in the area menu was not even available .....

Review 45:Breakfast

Review 46:The pipes were making a noise all night and this kept me awake. The breakfast was disappointing. The sausages were the poorest quality I have ever had in a hotel and the coffee was poor compared to other hotels.

Review 47:Room was so hot even though radiator was off, but couldn't have window open due to road noise.

Review 48:Perfect location for event at Stoneleigh. Great food in the restaurant, especially the included breakfast.

Review 49:Some of the bar/restaurant staff were a little disorganised, maybe new?, but they remained in good humour and were attentive.

Review 50:Really cheery helpful reception staff. Lovely comfy beds and p!peasant rooms. Restaurant food (we ate off the Indian menu) was very good.

Review 51:Poor attention from staff. No hot water on demand in the morning told to "run the tap longer". We have stayed numerous times but will cancel the visit we have booked for March 2016. left feeling very undervalued.

Review 52:location and space for dogs. Good food

Review 53:Nothing substantial

Review 54:Most everything, but on previous visits we have had a larger room, but as we were only staying 1 night that wasn't an issue. Breakfast was excellent with large choice, but no scrambled egg!

Review 55:The alarm kept going off in the middle of the night and every 15 mins. The staff couldn't care less as its apparently probably that's been going on for a few months. The room was desperate need of decorating.

Review 56:Nothing at all.

Review 57:No Vodafone or '3' coverage and hotel WiFi kept failing so could not make the contacts I needed. Also some annoying issues, like no plug in the washbasin (glad I have a beard and did not need to shave). Food: over-sold promotion of International Cuisine. Range was limited and looked like something out of 'Brakes' catalogue!

Review 58:Premises, location, staff, décor and breakfast.

Review 59:Bedrooms could do with upgrading (I believe a refurb is currently underway) holes in bed sheets, scuffs on walls and furniture in a bad state of repair in some places.

Review 60:Nice bathroom, recently refurbished, however shower head was broken

Review 61:My mum was sharing a room with my 10 year old daughter, she was kept awake all night by a generator running outside the window, she would have asked to be moved but my daughter was asleep and didn't want to disturb her, if we had been staying more than one night then we would have asked to switch rooms.

Review 62:They are totally messed up with the management of their rewaeds system,a total lack of uniformity between the different Ramada hotels. This one could not tell I was a member of their scheme and I did not have my card with me. This is one reason why The Holiday Inn is a clear winner

Review 63:Quite friendly, quite efficient

Review 64:Although there was no actual heating on in the room it was too hot and although we asked for a fan this was small and noisy.also as a disabled person I did find access to the restaurant difficult as one had to go outside and round the building rather than access from inside.

Review 65:Good disabled access and comfortable bed.very clean room and ensuite.

Review 66:Poor room, was supposed to be 'deluxe' but no handles on bedside cabinets, damp ceilings /rusty fittings in bathroom. Bar was shut early.

Review 67:Good location, good breakfast.

Review 68:No wifi connection at hotel as advertised resulting in me being unable to continue with important work that needed to be completed. Also the location of the desk in the room meant that it was very difficult to sit down as the chair couldnt move because the bed was there.

Review 69:The restaurant was very good. One of the best steak pies that I have had.

Review 70:Food closed at 10pm and no 24 hour room service even though advertised as so. Staff were not over friendly. Hotel is run down & room needs attention to charge the over night room rate. Should be priced £30 per night cheaper.

Review 71:Room was clean. breakfast was good.

Review 72:It is a long time since I have woken up with ear ache from poor pillows. The bath panel was rotten and painted over but left a lot to be desired An easy chair in the bedroom would have been nice The bar staff were working between the restaurant and the bar and so service suffered The menu in the restaurant gave the impression of quick food i.e. microwave prepared. I ordered 'Award winning steak and ale pie' It was no better than the Pukka Pies you buy in the local fish shop. I asked the waitress what 'Award' the pies had won but she didn't know. Perhaps if such statement is made then the details of the award should be published or the staff made aware. More than likely it was an award for 'Poor Pies'

Review 73:The place was clean and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful

Review 74:First room radiator broken on full heat, second room someone else was already in there, third room was the duty managers room. Left in reception for 45 minutes while they found another room than I had a call to say you've left your stuff in room 109, I was never in room 109!. Complete shambles!

Review 75:Very little

Review 76:Having changed rooms once, I was still unsatisfied with the quality of room along with comfort / noise levels. The only food option was Indian and after having a curry for lunch, I was not best impressed. The key chain on the door made it look cheap and unsafe and the overall cleanliness and decoration of the room and dining area was very poor.

Review 77:Shower pressure could have been better. Curtains in room need re fixing so they slide open & closed easier.

Review 78:Food was good, good value for money, not too far from Warwick tc, overall enjoyed our stay. Loved the king size bed we had. Very impressed with breakfast, great selection.

Review 79:The exceptional noise by the coach load of Chinese visitors on the Thursday night running up and down the corridor and banging on the doors up to 11pm and then from 6.30am

Review 80:I am afraid that the receptionist not very welcoming/helpful. Only Indian food available in the evening so had to find somewhere else to eat after arriving quite late. No shampoo etc. No soap in the dispenser and I thought that the towels (which were good in quality) could have been a bit whiter - definitely grey I am afraid.

Review 81:Room very comfortable, coffee etc available fine.

Review 82:The dinner menu was extensive covering both Indian and European options, however when we went to order we were told that there was only an Indian chef on duty that evening therefore the European options were unavailable - very disappointing as I don't like Indian food.

Review 83:Reception greeting, lady couldn't find our booking at first Bathroom had a DIY panel that looked a mess.

Review 84:Breakfast was excellent. Bedroom was clean, shower very good.

Review 85:The room was very clean and tidy and although the rest of the hotel was undergoing refurbishment there were signs apologising for any inconvenience. The room was also very spacious for the money I paid.

Review 86:Very poor wifi connection, rather small room with very small and poorly accessible desk, old style shower curtain making showering very uncomfortable. Very poor sound isolation. Ongoing refurbishment works are never pleasant but that is something one can live with. Fyi room no 118

Review 87:Friendliness of the reception staff

Review 88:The rooms are a bit stark with dated and chipped furniture but there are signs of refurbishment works. The rooms could have done with some bedside lamps.

Review 89:clean well appointed room and comfy bed

Review 90:No fridge in the room and the fire alarm went off 4-5 times between 6:30-7 in the morning on a Sunday which I was very annoying since we had arrived back at the hotel very late. It was my partners birthday which I had mention in my booking and we didn't receive any sort of complimentary. I do make a complain in the reception when checking out but the receptionist just said she was sorry about that.

Review 91:It was very specious and very good location, nice view and clean rooms.

Review 92:The room was far too hot at night and there was no way of turning down the central heating

Review 93:The restaurant was excellent and the staff in the restaurant very helpful

Review 94:Room furniture very old and tired. Hairdryer had wires hanging along no plug socket close enough to mirror. No lift had to carry cases up 2 flights of stairs

Review 95:Close to NEC Birmingham staff very helpful restaurant good. Room clean

Review 96:NOISY! Lots of background noise most of the night, and VERY noisy neighbours from about 6am. Refurbishment meant the hotel was not at its best.

Review 97:Well placed, comfortable room. Good food at dinner and breakfast.

Review 98:Very tired shabby hotel, found dangerous electrical connections in the bathroom. Hotel has a faulty fire alarm and when we complained the next morning the manager was unsympathetic and we never even got a proper apology nor an offer of a reduction in the bill. So we did ask but just got a formulaic management training response. The shower caps even appeared to be second hand!

Review 99:Good location for the NEC

Review 100:Could hear the male next door snoring through the thin walls. Bathroom looking a bit tired.

Review 101:Room was clean, modern, bed really comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choice. No rush to check out like some other hotels.

Review 102:The restaurant had no atmosphere- we were the only people there! The hotel needs a refurbishment as the public areas were very tired and tatty. We arrived late and were given a room for disabled guests without a proper shower. We asked to be moved and then had a room where the toilet didn't work.

Review 103:We had an excellent curry in the restaurant. The beds were comfortable.

Review 104:Unfortunately left some items in the wardrobe, a month later and numerous phone calls later talking to staff who are unable to help/understand still waiting for items to be found/returned. Customer service needs to be improved when problems arise. We also found that the bed was very uncomfortable.

Review 105:Close to Stoneleigh Park

Review 106:Not really a bad experience but the geese poo was a bit of a nuisance

Review 107:Very friendly staff. Restaurant superb. Facilities a little tired but New Management so think they will refurbish. Would definitely stay there again

Review 108:The light over the mirror in the bathroom did not work, and the temporary plug in the wash basin was not a good fit.

Review 109:The staff were extremely pleasant , especially in the restaurant. The food was very good.

Review 110:the rooms were in need of modernisation, no hairdryer, the handles on the draws were missing, the curtains were dated and hanging off.

Review 111:good location, large car park and close to Warwick, Kenilworth and Leamington

Review 112:we were on floor 3 and the stairs were very steep, surprised that there wasn't a lift. this is our only criticism.

Review 113:we were pleasantly surprised due to the price per night. the reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the room was lovely with a super comfy bed and very clean. Breakfast was fabulous, so much choice.

Review 114:poor water pressure in shower (second floor) Some staff remained straight faced in breakfast area . Definitely need to be more hospitable and wanting to make clientele feel more welcome .

Review 115:Comfortable bed and clean room . Reception staff were welcoming and helpful .

Review 116:The hotel is in need of a complete re furbishment from the rooms to the bar toilets and all other areas.

Review 117:The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable. The food was very good.

Review 118:unsmiling staff, not very helpful. did not get bed linen change in 5 days, towels were left wet instaed of beeing changed. room doors with cracking sound when not broken

Review 119:location and surroundings

Review 120:There was no heating in the room for the whole stay and the floor near the radiator was wet from a leak. The front desk was informed but after being informed initially at 10:30pm that it would be fixed I was later informed by someone else that it wouldn't be fixed and that it was a known issue and should not have been advised that it would be fixed as they knew it couldn't be fixed. All they could do was provide an extra blanket.

Review 121:Drains in bathroom were smelly, hairdyer and kettle didnt work. I asked for quiet room away from banging doors and was put right next to the main door at top of stairs which banged all night. Can this have a dampner fitted? No sound barriers between rooms - you can hear everything from next door - not pleasant

Review 122:The location was good for me as I had a meeting close by but would have been noisy if at front of hotel

Review 123:Comfy bed, good size bedroom and bathroom. Good breakfast. Very helpful reception staff - able to access room early as were going to a wedding and wanted to change and get ready.

Review 124:TV did not work. Only got 2 channels. We were told it would be fixed whilst we were out. When we came back it didn't work at all. No explanation given.

Review 125:Comfortable room and lovely dinner. Staff v friendly.

Review 126:I gave my comments on the wine they tried to serve to bar tender and he disputed my comments instead of sorting it.

Review 127:Receptionist were very cordially, but the guy who I think is the manager his name is naveen needs to be trained how to talk and behave if he in hospitality business.

Review 128:Hotel certainly worth the price I paid, compared to prices in England. The size and comfort of rooms (Executive)) are good. Breakfast is a classic English ...

Review 129:unfortunately was given a room next to road, very noisy, window top has a 4 inch gap where curtain did not cover, where light came in early in the morning at 5am waking me up! Pillows were too flat, it felt very used. Asked to change room and they did without question.Great

Review 130:Great big super breakfast. Staff making sure food are organised and plates are hot. Bathroom and bath towels were clean.

Review 131:Having to use separate passwords for the wifi. Don't mind registering once but why use 24hr passwords printed on high quality paper. Waste of money for the hotel I think.

Review 132:Good ground floor room. Overall hotel was very good. Restaurant very good.

Review 133:Having to get my room card reset every day. Noise from large group in surrounding rooms. Too hot. Window only opened an inch. Breakfast too busy not enough tables.

Review 134:Car parking not a problem. CCTV.

Review 135:paying additional £8.95 for very slow one day internet connection, for one device only - gets ultra expensive if you have more devices... I think that's not good in this day and age. the whole place needs a bit of a sort out, no plug in bath, plumbing pipes sticking out of bathroom wall, electricity plugs at desk did not work so had to use and extension from other sockets.

Review 136:The staff were extremely rude, they couldn't even find our booking and just left us sat in reception for over half an hour waiting. Then they offered no apologies until I said I wanted discount which I didn't get. Then to top it off I was given a twin room when I booked a double, with live wires hanging out from behind the bed. And dirty was not the word it was disgusting there was more body fat on the shower walls than there was tiles. The whole room was dirty and falling apart. And then the beds are uncomfortable and you get people shouting at 3am and the hotel does nothing about this.

Review 137:Absolutely nothing
