Reviews for The Ebrington Arms

Review 1:Our room and en-suite were outstanding. Comfortable and luxurious without being pretentious. very much a home from home. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent too.

Review 2:N/A it was noisy, but you expect that sleeping above a pub.

Review 3:This is a beautiful pub and hotel. It has been done up to a high standard with lovely finishing touches. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. We loved our room and the landlord was vert friendly and welcoming.

Review 4:A truly authentic pub feel . the hub of the small village. yet still able to produce excellent food in a cosy bar/restaurant setting. my wife has already proposed a return visit for her next birthday.

Review 5:Great atmosphere excellent location good food and outstanding service from attentive experienced staff ( particularly Sarah ) Nice comfortable room fitted out very tastefully with pleasant rural outlook. Highly recommended.

Review 6:Lovely old pub, restored and beauitfully presented. Excellent breakfast, cooked especially for you, we also ate dinner in the pub not a big menu but great taste and quality. Sara very helpful with information, where to walk and what to see. Very quiet area

Review 7:the staff don't assume that you are staying for dinner when the booking is made so ended up having to eat very early in the bar area. Not much of a problem but wherever we have stayed in a pub before it is always assumed you will be dining especially if there aren't any other pubs or restaurants in the area.

Review 8:Great room. Lovely food. Helpful staff. Fabulous location.

Review 9:Restaraunt was quite pricey. Food was high-end. It was fully booked mainly by local residents on the saturday and a couple staying the weekend couldnt get a reservation because of this. I think they were offered a table late on in the evening.

Review 10:The place itself is gorgeous. The village is picture postcard. The decor in the room is really lovely.

Review 11:Bed is standard double - a bit small Please don't bring main course immediately after bread and nibbles - feels like you are trying to move us on too fast!

Review 12:Location, good restaurant, characterful room, good atmosphere

Review 13:The wifi was in and out, no service on our phones but I think that's more the area rather than the wifi. Great to shut off for a while.

Review 14:Great location, amazing food and the staff are wonderful! Extremely friendly village, very homely, little touches made it a great stay.

Review 15:Nothing to not like :-)

Review 16:Lovely quaint pub in a picturesque setting with excellent bar/restaurant area. The food was gorgeous, the room was great with a lovely roll top bath which was fantastic for relaxing the aching muscles. The staff were all brilliant and very attentive without being in your face. Would definitely stay again!! :-)

Review 17:Poor choice of drinks at the bar if you didn't to like ale's and larger. Room was directly above bar area so very noisy til 12pm. Evening meal choice poor for vegetarian.

Review 18:Breakfast choice was awesome, village location beautiful. Lovely garden at the Ebrington. Staff were great couldn't do enough.

Review 19:I only stayed 1 night. Could have easily stayed for several days.

Review 20:Charming, excellent food, beautiful scenery. Staff was very friendly and attentive without over-doing it. The public access walking is the highlight of the area...get a good trail map as it is often unlcear of the next step of the path (that can be part of the adventure

Review 21:Breakfast was a disappointment- poached eggs were hard boiled (yuck). Also important to note that there is a curfew for returning to your room: when the pub downstairs closes. The staff member kindly said he'd stay up until we returned but that still had to be before 12am, which meant we had to cut our plans short- doesn't mention this on the website that I noticed when we booked.

Review 22:The Staff were excellent- some of the best service I have ever received in the UK. Couldn't do more for you and very professional.

Review 23:The only let down of our stay was that our mains came out while we were having starter/nibbles - felt we were being rushed.

Review 24:The room was very spacious and comfortable, with all necessary amenities. Perfect location if seeking quiet village pub. Waiting staff very attentive.

Review 25:We enjoyed our stay at the Ebrington Arms tremendously. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was fantastastic, tucked aboved the pub. It felt like a private hideaway. I especially enjoyed the beautiful clawfoot tub for soaking after a long day. We ate dinner there twice, and loved it both times. If and when we return to England, we will definitely stay at the Ebrington Arms!

Review 26:We pre booked a table for supper several months before and thought we would be in the dinning area. Instead we were in the noisiest part of the bar

Review 27:Lovely room and Fantastic breakfast

Review 28:Our room had no wardrobe which is not a problem during a short stay, and there were enough hooks and hangers on the wall behind the door.

Review 29:Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Beautifully decorated room. The bed was great, the shower powerful and the organic soap is made locally. Tea, sparkling and still water, a jar of homemade biscuits and a small bottle of sherry on arrival were provided. The bar and restaurant are always buzzing with locals and guests. The restaurant does not serve your typical pub grub (but they do have fish & chips and hamburgers for the fans). The food is excellent using local produce and cooked with a lot of skill and care. Nice breakfast menu with a lot to choose from.

Review 30:Car parking limited especially when pub open. Pub does a la carte food which we're not great fans of so choice limited when we did eat at night at the pub.

Review 31:Staff were excellent. All very friendly especially Sara. The peace and quiet and sleeping like a log every night.

Review 32:Dormir dans un pub très ancien est une expérience unique, accueil exceptionnel merci :-))) atmosphère magique, des bières recette maison géniales, la chambre superbe (même la petite), c'était parfait.

Review 33:Friendly staff, beautiful views of Cotswold countryside, v. high quality room furnishings - gorgeous crafted wooden bed, floorboards & shutters, welcome tray with sherry, homemade cookies, bottled water, tea&coffee; amazing roll top bath & shower with organic soap & shower products & robes provided. Evening meal delicious.

Review 34:Thought the room was overpriced for what it was - no wardrobe in our standard double room just hangers, although very comfortable. The shower was either cool or boiling - we did report this on check out.

Review 35:The food and staff were top class.

Review 36:A short notice trip necessitated a night away. we were given a great welcome and had excel;lent service, food and wine. Unfortunately the bed was a liitle small for my large frame.

Review 37:Nothing

Review 38:The service in the restaurant was excellent and the staff very helpful when we asked for walking routes/maps. The room was lovely and very different from your standard hotel rooms.

Review 39:Lack of atmosphere and it was far too expensive for what is it. At the end of the day it is just a pub. I have stayed in places equally as good but for half the money.

Review 40:Food was excellent

Review 41:Leaving!!!!!!

Review 42:Lovely relaxing little hideaway....perfect as a base for touring the Cotswolds. Bedrooms beautifully decorated....nice little touches with the homemade biscuits and welcome glass of sherry in the room!!!! Soooo much to like here.

Review 43:If i had to have a negative it would be that breakfast was a little to early, but then again i am a sleep monster.

Review 44:Pretty much everything, had a wonderful stay.

Review 45:Perhaps a few more biscuits in the jar on arrival ! But not the end of the world, & I have no doubt if we had requested more, that would not have been a problem.

Review 46:The accommodation was Charming, Comfortable and stlylish but still maintaining the wonderful Character of the building . The food served at both Breakfast & our evening Meals were of a very high standard & all very friendly staff.

Review 47:Bedroom (above the bar) was quite noisy both at night and early (7.30am) in the morning. Bed was a bit small for two (thin) people.

Review 48:Fabulous, friendly staff. Sumptuous bathroom. Great restaurant.

Review 49:Friendly and efficient staff, beautifully decorated bedroom and bathroom, excellent breakfast, good quality evening dining. Easy access to more "touristy" villages and towns without having to stay in them! Will definitely return.
