Reviews for Résidel
Review 1:Location with Lake & Mountain views, good friendly hosts, being on a main road noise not a problem with good double glazing and blinds. Good security parking.
Review 2:I will be contacting you on my return from my trip - 1st Nov. We were overcharged and paid VAT which according to your confirmation was already included in the price given.
Review 3:Fairly comfortable but bedroom was up a set of stairs resembling a ladder! Not good for us oldies.
Review 4:No food on site , single bed was quite small . noise from the road which is quite close . looks much better in the photo's
Review 5:Ok as a one night stop , staff were helpful , clean rooms . Lidle supermarket next door
Review 6:There is a very busy road just other side of the hedge in the photo. The photos are cleverly done to disguise this fact. The road noise is dreadfull.
Review 7:Nothing really.
Review 8:Had an apartment with two rooms but one room had no windows so it got a bit hot and stuffy. Shower too small for disabled person to access.
Review 9:Easy to find and not too far from Annecy, with views of lake. We were given a ground floor room as requested for wheelchair. Very useful to have small kitchen area and fridge.
Review 10:Street lighting on main road needs changing too down light LED so lights don't shine on you when sitting out front, (I run an Astronomy Group back in Scotland so light pollution is always to be improved, especially the lighting out side hotel as they are old and use a lot of Electric, would be nice too see the stars over Lac Annecy.
Review 11:Easy parking and good location
Review 12:Breakfast charges were disgusting - €9.50 for bread, jam, orange juice and tea/coffee and the same price for a 3 year old!! Would not recommend anyone staying here.
Review 13:Not much about the hotel really.
Review 14:Noise of the busy road. A bit expensive... but maybe this is a pricy area in general.
Review 15:Very friendly owners. Possibility to rent a bike - definitely the best option for a trip to Annecy or the opposite direction along the lake. Beach 2 mins by foot.
Review 16:We went in a heatwave and it has no aircon.
Review 17:Good views, handy location, good stop for a few days. Ten minutes from busy Annecy (if the traffic isn't clogged up).
Review 18:Facilities a bit basic but this is an expensive area.
Review 19:Excellent view from our window over Lake Annecy A drive to town is necessary but not a great problem
Review 20:The location near the lake and not far from Annecy. Spacious room and good and safe parking. And we had a kind of privat garden in the back with a view on Lac d'Annecy.
Review 21:Cramped and hot room. The loft had two beds for the kids, which is okay, but the stairs were strange to navigate. There was no other bedroom, only a pull-out couch to sleep on for the two adults. Breakfast was not worth 9 euros! I was a bit angry after that stay.
Review 22:Not hard to find. Owners were friendly.
Review 23:None to report.
Review 24:The staff were very helpful, friendly and could not do enough to make sure we were happy. Location was good and overlooked the Lake it was easy to find, also a Lidl store was right next door for early morning bread etc...
Review 25:The beds were very uncomfortable and the stair case very steep
Review 26:The location suited as as we were travelling through to Chamonix from Geneva and wanted to see Annecy. It was clean
Review 27:Arrived after midnight for overnight stay en-route to Alps. Was called in afternoon to advise room number and that it would be left unlocked for us. All clean and simple, towels for everyone etc. Simple but good breakfast choice in morning. No complaints at all.
Review 28:Pillows a bit small, we needed 2 each. Some mold on shower floor.
Review 29:The desk clerk was pleasant and obliging. Although on the highway, the room was quiet at night due to double windows and automatic shutters. Plenty of room, good bathroom and big bed.
Review 30:was not clean. Parking place(under ground) is very small.
Review 31:Location is good, very easy to access the center of city and other main points. There are supermarket, Carrefour near the apartmet.
Review 32:near the road, a little bit noisy, you need a vehicle to go somewhere
Review 33:Very pleasant family, rooms with incredible view on the mountains and lake. Close to the Lidl shop, several good restraurants in 15 minutes by foot
Review 34:Cozy double room, but it was as described so can't complain.
Review 35:Great location for accessing the area but not staying in the centre. Very clean and modern.
Review 36:two separated mats instead of one for the king size bed. There is no fridge in the room.
Review 37:Nice view from throught the large window and terrace. Good breakfast. A very plesant host
Review 38:Bright modern and spotlessly clean accommodation. Excellent views and location. Close proximity to Annecy town (with car) Exceptionally good value for money.
Review 39:The road noise was annoying but didn't affect sleeping as it has plenty of soundproofing. Only a problem when sitting outside in the busy times.
Review 40:The staff were very helpful and the room facilities were very good.
Review 41:The rooms are too small. It's fine for a 1-2 day stay, but not longer. Bed is too soft. The hotel is on a busy road, so sometimes it interferes with your sleep.
Review 42:Nice location with a view on the lake & mountains, the supermarket is just next door, a walk to the free public beach takes only 5 minutes. Across the road twice a week there is a little market with local produce. If you don't want to spend hours looking for parking in Annecy town, you can take a bus that stoops right in front of the hotel or a ferry (a walk to the stop takes 10 min). There are nice dining options in the area.
Review 43:Hotel has a great location near beach, shops and restaurants. Great facilities and we rented a bike for a ride round the lake. Supermarket and sports shop right next door!
Review 44:Opportunities to dine out locally were a little limited, but then this was an out of town hotel.
Review 45:Nice, quiet out of town spot. Easy to find and with ample parking. Lovely rooms, superb breakfast and really, really nice staff.
Review 46:Breakfast was very basic with little choice. Occasionally wifi did not work at all.
Review 47:Very good accommodation, just across the road from the lake and bicycle trails. Good free car parking. Supermarket just across the road.
Review 48:Very compact arrangement for 4 people. Fold out sofa bed was not comfortable. WIFI was not working.
Review 49:Away from the city. Grocery and restaurants nearby. Access to lakeside communities. Free parking. Bike rentals.
Review 50:Kitchen facilities weren't bad, but could have been better.
Review 51:The location is ideal, just outside Annecy, and a short walk to the absolutely beautiful lake. Our kids had a great time swimming and still mention it. The apartment was very roomy, and it would be a really nice place for an extended stay. Nothing luxurious, but comfortable. And there is a LIDL right next door, so groceries are easy to get. A perfect place to stay if you want/need to visit Geneva, which is only a short drive down the road, but don't want to stay in the city itself.
Review 52:Getting up stairs in a family room is difficult if you are not 100% as stairs are narrow and steep. Resembles a ladder.
Review 53:Close to lake and supermarket. Helpful staff who spoke English.
Review 54:The room was a bit tight for a family of four , but it would be ok for 1-2 nights.
Review 55:Staff were excellent with all the help and advice on what to do around the area, not far from Annecy and a nice outlook across the lake , as a bonus there is a supermarket across the road if you want to buy anything.
Review 56:Sound proofing extremely poor between our ground floor and the room above. Listening to their antics for hours on end was not pleasant! Even if we has not had this problem, I would consider the room rather basic for the price.
Review 57:Convenient location, an easy cycle ride into the Annecy.
Review 58:The real experience is better than the official category corresponding to this hotel.Hotel enviroment is very quiet and very good located to the lake, cycling roads. The grocery is hard by the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Review 59:Traffic noise during the day - close to main road.
Review 60:Kitchen in room is a huge bonus! Very clean. Staff speaks English. Lots of free parking. General store across the road. Spacious room.
Review 61:Nothing
Review 62:I like it because of its calm, peaceful, very clean, quite, nearby bus stop, nearby cheap convenient supermarket. Very nice place to stay for group of friends or even with families.
Review 63:Friendly staffs; clean room; good location.
Review 64:Very helpful staff.
Review 65:Disappointed in the cleanliness, room had an unpleasant smell.
Review 66:Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff on arrival and serving breakfast.
Review 67:Free wifi wasn't great at all
Review 68:Location was good and would stay here again, was more than adequate for what we needed
Review 69:There is no barrier to insects
Review 70:everything
Review 71:The view from the room is amazing
Review 72:Basic but ideal for one night stop over.
Review 73:Location and Lake View
Review 74:Staff was excellent and very friendly. Very helpful in helping us in exploring the area and it's restaurants.
Review 75:Very busy road, traffic noise
Review 76:small self-catering unit was ok. close to supermarket.
Review 77:The hotel us clised from 11am to 4pm so it's not possible to leave for instance luggage between that time
Review 78:Our room had amazing lake view. Room was clean, staff was really kind and helpful.
Review 79:view and location
Review 80:It's was very nice apartment.
Review 81:Some particular time traffic jam.
Review 82:Excellent lake view, money-worthy, supermarket nearby, near downtown of Annecy.
Review 83:View, convenient, wifi,
Review 84:Self catering facilities are basic.
Review 85:Comfortable room well laid out. About ten minutes drive from Annecy. Within 100 metres of a supermarket. Parking.
Review 86:Everthing
Review 87:Easy to find. Breakfast if you want as an add on. But great having little kitchen for simple snacks & cold drinks.
Review 88:Great view of the lake friendly and helpful staff
Review 89:good design of the room.
Review 90:nice view
Review 91:Handy for Annecy. Spacious two bed apartment. Dog friendly.
Review 92:The well-equipped kitchen, clean rooms, friendly staff.
Review 93:From the booking.com website thought this hotel was closer to the lake. Our room on the ground floor had no lake view or kitchenette although our booking did say we had a kitchen, and to get to the lake side beach we had to go via a camp site on the other side of the very busy road, Although it says it has satellite TV there are no English channels.
Review 94:Clean tidy room. Breakfast was good and overall good value for money. We would use again as a stop over on route to our final destination but would not stay for a longer period.
Review 95:The only drawback is the proximity and constant car noise of the busy Annecy-Alberville road. That said, everything is double glazed, so you can close the door to the terrace/balcony.
Review 96:Very charming and competent host couple. Well maintained throughout. Very close to bike trail. Bicycle rental on site. Supermarket next door for supplies.
Review 97:No sitting option in room. It would have been nice to be able to sit and eat inside. There's a table an chairs on the balcony but since the weather was bad we couldn't use it.
Review 98:Was a clean place with good wifi. Right next to Lidl. All in all it's a good place for what you pay
Review 99:Some reviewers have complained that the location is noisy. This is due to constant traffic adjacent to the garden. That said the price we paid was probably appropriate and perfectly acceptable for a short stop over, where the room was used only to sleep in after the traffic had abated. The internet was a real problem and for this we could not extend our stay. This was a real shame as there is really nothing else bad to say about the nice, functional hotel and lovely staff.
Review 100:The staff here were great, they were really helpful and considerate. Top marks for the staff. The room was perfectly clean with all appliances and safe in working order. The when we asked if the WiFi could be made functional the owner spent a considerable amount of time trying to fix it and on the second day brought in external help too. Unfortunately this did not work too well, but the intention and effort was certainly there. This place with correctly functioning WiFi would be a great. It is a reasonably priced place, it is clean, modern, has great staff and is very close to the lake. I would certainly go back if the WiFi issue was resolved.
Review 101:Breakfast is charged separately and still was a bit limited. Some eggs and bacon could be pleasant in the middle of the winter...
Review 102:Really friendly reception, room was simple but totally satisfactory, very good bed, wonderful restaurant nearby
Review 103:There is quite a bit of road noise, but the electric shutters meant itwas bearable. Kitchenette was very basic - not that easy to do anyself catering
Review 104:Great location, very eay to find. Lovely receptionist (owner) to greetus, really helpful with maps to explain the best way to see Annecy townThe view of Lake Annecy is perfect, and it is just a five minute walk tothe lakeside. Room was comfortable for the four of us.
Review 105:Very well located, with a view to the Annecy lake, very clean inside and outside, with nice green areas. With a supermarket on the other side of the street and very close to Annecy.
Review 106:Location was execellent and we had an amazing view of the mountains. Staff very friendly. We hired bikes from the hotel and had a beautiful cycle along the cycle path which is very close to the hotel. Small kitchen facilities in room were very usefull. Clean and great value for money.
Review 107:Although Residel is on a busy road, traffic noise was not a problem. A high hedge blocked view of the road. Our ground floor outdoor, sitting area was shady & cool from early afternoon - bonus in summer! There is easy access to the cycle path & beach.
Review 108:The road outside was always busy and noisey but the windows and shutters kept it quiet inside. The first floor rooms not suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to the steep wooden staircase to the bedroom.
Review 109:Very friendly owners and receptionist, always helpful and polite. Lovely views over the lake and mountains beyond . The kitchenette was very useful.
Review 110:That the staff were so friendly and very helpful, the accommodation was cosy and very comfortable, and the location was just wonderful, and the fact it was close to a road, but that the facilities like automatic shutters kept out the road noise during the night really well.
Review 111:Breakfast was a little expensive for what you got.
Review 112:Staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay very comfortable Very close to lake Annecy Shops and restaurants nearby Noise and light preventing shutters made sleeping at night very good
Review 113:V expensive and v difficult to get a taxi into Annecy. Breakfast wasvery basic, even by continental standards. Room needed a good clean.
Review 114:Very nice middle age couple who run the place. Nice views of the lake.Good value for money. Good parking. Nice modern room.
Review 115:We have been to Annecy 10 times in the past 20 years and stayed inseveral hotels but the Residel was far the best we have stayed in thatarea. The staff were very helpful , the only problem was that only theson spoke a bit of English and we only spoke a little French but theywere very good and we managed alright. The room was more than weexpected and much better than we could have hoped for, with a smallkitchen area , and with an area to be able to eat outside your room, youwere able to choose to eat out or in, which was good. We are cyclist andthe location was very good we were able to get out on our bikes withoutbeing bothered by trafic, The only downside to this Hotel is that it ison a main road which is very busy and if you like a quite hotel to staythis may be a bit too much , the room is quite with the window shut ,the other is that they could do with having an English tv chanel , notthat you go away to watch television but when you wont to relax it wouldbe nice to be able to watch english spoken chanel not always french. Westayed two weeks at the Residel, the first week of our three weekholiday in france and the last week, we were very happy with both weeksand if we visist Annecy again we would stay no where else but at theResidel. This Hotel is well worth recommendation to any of yourcustomers /
