Reviews for Cotford Hotel

Review 1:Excellently run hotel. Beautiful Victorian townhouse, elegantly furnished and only minutes by foot from the hills or town centre. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, the food excellent and the ambience perfect for a relaxing weekend. Very dog friendly and I will definitely be returning and advising to friends.

Review 2:Small point... two remote controls for TV, even following instructions left they were awkward to operate.

Review 3:Excellent location near to Malvern Hills. Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast.

Review 4:The fact that I was woken up by what I can only imagine were guests between 4 & 5 in the morning opening and leaving slam the fire doors on the stairs and talking at the top of their voices. So between theses hours I was woken around 6 times by the noise.

Review 5:The location and the Hotel itself were lovely.

Review 6:Nothing! No faults at all!

Review 7:The staff were all excellent - friendly & very efficient service. We were made to feel so welcome. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional. Our room was also very comfortable, especially the bed!

Review 8:On the minus side the single room was a bit small and the bed under the window meant that there was draft when I opened the window on a warm night. Also there were not any shower caps in the room. When I mention the shower caps as iI was checking out. I as told that I could have rung down for one as they are keep Iin the office as not many guest want them. How can they know this if they are not available in the room. When you are standing naked about to get in to the shower one does not think to ring down for a shower cap. There was a sewing kit in the room it would make more sence to ring down for one of these and put shower caps in the room instead.

Review 9:It was fine the staff was friendly and pleasant the room was clean and the location suited mY purpose .

Review 10:Breakfast only started at 8-00 a.m. on Sunday morning, and we had to leave at 7-45. We were given usual cold breakfast tray, but not the same as a cooked breakfast, which we really wanted. Thought breakfast should be from 7-00 all week.

Review 11:The evening meal and service was first class.

Review 12:Threats to charge us corkage for opening a bottle that we had brought with us without discussing it with us first. The way it was handled could have been far more sensitive and spoilt the start of our stay. We would have been delighted to pay corkage..

Review 13:The comfy bed. The excellent food. The charming landlady Barbara. The brilliant waiting staff. The immaculate cleanliness. The garden and its views. The way we were offered a better parking space for our Morgan.

Review 14:Beautiful building and grounds. Amazing staff, very helpful. Food was delicious. Location was perfect for our visit to the area. Travelled with my 8 year old son who loved it also. Would stay again definitely.

Review 15:Friendly staff, the hotel had a great warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was very good and served beautifully. If you want a nice country hotel with great walks and a very nice theatre nearby, I would recommend this place totally.

Review 16:pillows. This is the only thing I can comment on in a negative way. Could have been a bit plumper.

Review 17:staff, food, owners, position, room, comfort. easy to find, quiet location.

Review 18:Bar closed when returned to the hotel at 2230 Wasnt offered more tea/ coffee/ toast at breakfast Small single room. Wardrobe filled with extra duvets/ pillows so no useable hanging space

Review 19:Clean room Was as described -

Review 20:Room and bathroom was a little small considering the price, but did the job. Breakfast a little early to finish at 9.30 on a Sat which following a wedding was a little rushed.

Review 21:Wonderful staff and Hector (the dog). Lovely clean room, with all necessary requirements. Breakfast delicious too.

Review 22:Single rooms are nice, but layout could be improved to increase space, perhaps with reducing amount of furniture, eg there were more drawers than a single person would use

Review 23:Staff were friendly and made extra effort to make us feel welcome. Lovely lounging areas and unusual decor. Food was excellent as was the service. Easy access to the town and the hill.

Review 24:I did not like the single bed, but I should have specified when booking that I would prefer a double.

Review 25:I felt relaxed and made to feel at home as soon as I arrived. My dogs were treated as I special guests and made friends with Hector the resident Airdale terrier.

Review 26:The second room was fine but was a converted attic. The stairs could be difficult for the elderly or infirm.

Review 27:We booked two rooms and paid the same price for both. One room was magnificent and because this was part of a birthday present for my father we were delighted. The food is excellent and the staff efficient and friendly.

Review 71:The food was very good

Review 72:It is a lovely building, the hotel is attractive and very comfortable. My room was small but so pretty and comfortable. The staff were friendly and approachable and very considerate. Hector the dog is possibly the handsomest canine in England. The food was lovely and looked beautiful. Everything was presented with care. The scrambled eggs were so good!

Review 74:A warm and friendly hotel with excellent food and wine. Good staff provided excellent service and a ideal location to explore Malvern/make theatre visit.

Review 75:Expensive bar, beware. We were there for a wake, ordered sandwiches and nibbles. Overpriced. Sandwiches were OK but bought in pakoras and a few sausages. Not good enough for the price. Feel like I've been mugged.

Review 76:Cooked Breakfast started at 07:30 and i had to be on the road at 07:00. Breakfast was supplied but i was looking forward to a fry up.

Review 77:Location, Parking

Review 78:I know I had booked a single room, but it was very small and hot.

Review 79:All staff were friendly and welcoming. Tastefully decorated, and relaxing. Food amazing, blew my business budget as I had to have all courses and wine.

Review 84:We had single rooms which were on the small side but very well appointed and light and comfortable. I would love to have prolonged my stay but unfortunately my friend who came with me had to get back home. nb on question one I had to put "group of friends" but in fact I was accompanied by a younger friend for the RHS Spring Show.

Review 85:The welcome, the ambience, the friendly staff, the decor, the superb food.

Review 86:TV is a little bit fiddly to switch from satellite to terrestrial. Need better instructions perhaps printed on a card? Bathplug chain broken, but otherwise could not fault.
