Review 1：I highly recommend this hotel if you arrive by car and don`t mind walking 20 minutes to town center or the beach. Perfect place if you`re looking for a quiet place to relax. Very friendly staff.

Review 2：The restaurant was very much understaffed and the TV was not working in our room. Automatic corridor lights only came on exiting the lift but did not come on when leaving our room at the far end of a long corridor.

Review 3：The hotel is very convenient for a stopover on a journey from channel ferries to Spain. It is within 500m of J3 E5/E80 to the north of St Jean de Luz.

Review 6：Very small, cramped room. No net curtain so had to keep thick curtain closed so room dark.. Nowhere in the shower to put soap etc, other than on the shower base - very bad. No facilities for tea/coffee making in the room

Review 10：Room was old fashioned and the carpet had dirty surroundings, really bad and old. Toilet seat sat loose. Both needs to be renewed. Style actually should stay the same.

Review 11：Breakfast was excellent, i missed good coffee, though. The location is magic and it is only 30 minutes by bus from Bilbao. Good connection.

Review 12：The French 'habit' of charging €10 for breakfast is annoying. With a Lidl store and McDonalds across the street most guests had breakfast outside the hotel.

Review 15：Fantastic hotel. We've travelled all over France in the past week and this is by far the best place we've stayed. Lovely atmosphere, yummy food -endless breakfast choices! The pool was wonderful and the garden in general was very pretty.

Review 19：A very convenient hotel for me, at the end of long drive across Spain. Used for several years. And they take – took! – smaller dogs. Excellent staff and very good food which compensates for small bedroom and my last one was tiny, very small, with a beam even I, being short, could hit my head with. Compared with these rooms UK Travelodge rooms seem sumptuous. Now they say no more dogs so last visit for me and this will upset a number of regular clients and the staff seem annoyed to say the least especially as several went down on their knees to talk to my dog. They will lose clients and deservedly so. May be a better idea to not accept kids! The least they could do would be to present us regulars with a list of alternative hotels but perhaps they want to rely on booking/com. All rather sad, not just annoying. So goodbye Donabane.

Review 20：Roads all round but you can almost forget about them because of the pretty garden. Bedroom small and funtional only.

Review 21：Nice hotel very well located for St John de Luz and the motorway. Lovely garden, beautifully maintained. Heated swimming pool which is a treat, and long enough to do lengths. Also enjoyed the gym. Good bathroom.

Review 40：An unfortunate accident with a badly fixed wooden plank that fell on my feet from 3 meters height did conditioned my note - the personnel was very curteous and offered immediately ice for the foot. However I did not get neither the details of their insurance (under the shock I did not ask for i either) nor a gesture from the hotel (apart from the ice pack).... my foot, 10 days later, is still hurting

Review 63：This has everything you need for a perfect stay, pool, restaurant, room windows that actually open,is within walking distance of Jean de Luz, because we were in high season it was close to 90E/nite but off season down to 50- at that its a bargain, high seaso9n its reasonable to be in the thick of this area.

Review 66：Location is too far from center in an industrial zone. Rooms are tiny. We asked to be upgraded in a three people luxury room to be able to walk around the bed... We were lucky as the hotel had rooms available. Otherwise, the stay would have been a nightmare.
