Reviews for Ascots House
Review 1:relaxed, warm, friendly, high standard of accommodation. Real attention to detail- examples include, a bowl of apples in the bedroom, pack of face wipes, up date of daily weather forecast in kitchen, offer of getting food in ready for stay.
Review 2:Lack of en-suite, no TV in room, but all the plus features counterbalanced this as Alison went out of her way to make sure we didn't miss a TV programme we wanted to see - thank you Alison, much appreciated.
Review 3:Alison made us so welcome. The room was exquisitely decorated and fitted out. Breakfast delicious in a friendly setting. All so homely
Review 4:A great spot in Slough to avoid the usual overnight locations. Essentially a house share that lets you be part of the family one night at a time. Really nice people to spend a bit of time with!
Review 5:Very difficult to find the property while driving past on a very busy road.. No signage. Shower on different floor to the bedroom.
Review 6:Very clean and comfortable. Nutritious breakfast.
Review 7:If im being picky a bigger tv in the room
Review 8:Alison was very friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived! Even printing a map off for me when I asked about a good curry restaurant she could recommend. Definitely will b stayinh again when in the area.
Review 9:Exceptional hosts Welcomed like family. Fresh fruit milk etc in fridge each day. Very good locked car parking space Easy access for Slough and Heathrow.
Review 10:We have a bit difficulty sleeping because the blind is a bit too thin that it cannot keep the room dark enough during summertime when the sun is still high at 9 pm or perhaps we have a jetlag too
Review 11:Alison is a wonderful host. The house is located very near Heathrow airport which is very convenient after a long flight. The room is spacious and very clean. Alison upgrade us to stay in the ensuit with a superking size bed. Very comfortable bed. Our 3 year old daughter love Coco, a child friendly labrador. After one night stay, she still beg me to go back to see the dog. There are many large super store nearby. We give a 5 star to this place.
Review 12:Although property was easy to find, there are very few (if any) places to eat nearby so had to drive several miles for food on both evenings.
Review 13:Owner (Alison) very friendly and very helpful. A range of fresh fruit and breakfast items placed in room were very much appreciated as I was on a tight schedule over the two nights I stayed.
Review 14:No downside. I'll be visiting again and am looking forward to finding a time I can take my wife
Review 15:I booked in the early afternoon and had a quick email from Alison the owner. The house is high spec, very comfortable, with a great shared lounge and kitchen. There are some longer term guests who are convivial. Don't be put off by the fact that some rooms have a shared bathroom, as there is a separate toilet, and there is no queue! the owner, Alison , is the tops!
Review 16:Allison, the hostess, is an amazingly welcoming lady and the place it self is very neat and charming. The breakfast was fantastic. Light yogurt with the best granola(s) I've tasted (Gluten and wheat free as well). espresso brewed from a genuine bialetti coffee pot. You can have toast, cheese and jam as well but it was nice for a change not to get the heavy baked beans and bacon. I'll be back!
Review 17:Such a wonderful way to end 6 weeks of travel around Europe! We booked for one night, just looking for a place to rest our heads before our flight back to Australia but left wishing we could stay longer! Allison is a warm, generous woman who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. The home it self is just gorgeous, so clean and comforting, the bed was amazing, and being welcomed by the house Labrador, Coco, was priceless. The house is not far from transport and we were able to explore Windsor and lovely surrounding suburbs in half a day. Next time we plan a stop over near heathrow we will be staying for a few days for sure!!
Review 18:We cannot fault Ascots House.
