Reviews for Hôtel Anne De Bretagne
Review 1:A lovely, comfortable hotel in the heart of Rennes and not too far from the train station. The bathroom was clean and modern. The toilet is in its own separate room. The bed was comfortable.
Review 2:As I stated in a previous e-mail we were somewhat worried by the "slippiness" of the floor of the Shower. One's feeling of insecurity was obviously aggravated by the additional use of soap/soap solution. I can only suggest that you call for volunteers (among the younger members of your staff!) to decide whether or not they are in agreement with our anxieties. If an (older) person was to fall and injure themselves I can envisage a situation where the hotel management might be considered to have been "negligent". Would it be prudent to at least supply - in each room - a rubber mat (?with suction pads) which could be placed on the floor of the Shower Tray should the visitor/s so wish. Yours sincerely, Mark Fraser.
Review 3:I have stayed at Anne de Bretagne a few times over the years! I like the cheerful professionalism of the service they offer, the location and accessibility, the comfort and cleanliness and the fact that there are always cheerful staff on hand to respond to any request.
Review 4:Nothing really relevant. A good 3 star hotel.
Review 5:It's clean and walking distance from both the sncf/bus station and the city center where most bar, restaurants, markets and museums are.
Review 6:we could not get a parking space ,probably because we booked a few days before we stayed . A A
Review 7:A really comfortable hotel ,within walking distance of the delightful centre of Rennes .Will definitely use this hotel again on our way to Cherbourg for the ferry home .Good breakfast !
Review 8:It was quite a distance to walk to the Cathedral in the rain. The hotel area was not particularly nice. Yet another French Hotel with no restaurant. Very expensive for what it was.
Review 9:The room size was excellent. The receptionists were very helpful. The rooms were clean and modern.
Review 10:Hotel was very quiet which was really great. All around inside hotel very clean. Reception staff were very helpful and could speak English, our French speaking was very basic so their help was very good. Location was great to walk to Railway station and into Rennes centre. Plenty of eating places nearby and at city centre. Plenty of shops nearby too. Breakfast room had quality range of foods to eat. Toilet in our room was small, even though we are average in size, anyone on the larger size may struggle to get in and out. We noticed that in France, in general, toilets and restaurant seating accommodation tended to be smaller than we were use to. No tea making facilities in room but reception staff were always helpful to make a cuppa which we had to pay for.
Review 11:Nice, modern hotel at walking distance from the town centre. Good room, even if a little bit small (we had problems opening our luggage!), nice bathroom with good quality toiletries, small fridge, elevator. The parking is not free, but is underground, locked and very safe.
Review 12:Only thing I didn't like was the underground carpark. We had a 7 seater car and it was almost impossible to get the car into the carpark as the corners are so tight.
Review 13:The hotel appears to have been recently refurbished and everything is done to a high standard, the rooms are very clean and modern, the beds are comfortable, even the sofa bed is rather good. The reception staff are helpful, even helping us with luggage when checking out. The location is great, while it is not in the old town, but it's an easy 10 minutes walk away, and there is a shopping centre 2 minutes away with supermarket and chemist.
Review 14:The hotel parking garage was very difficult to use and we were not aware that we should have made a reservation for parking.
Review 15:Good location for visiting old Rennes. Modem decor, particularly the bathroom: very Ikea.
Review 16:Very welcoming staff, Secure underground car park. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent position for a stroll into town. The friendly receptionist pointed us in the direction of restaurants etc
Review 17:Absolutely nothing.
Review 18:Everything. A very comfortable & quiet room in a well loved and located hotel. When we visit Rennes again we will certainly try & stop here again,
Review 19:W had booked breakfast but didn't take it as we had both been very ill in the night. We were charged 20 Euros more than we had been quoted
Review 20:Just about everything except the final bill
Review 21:Difficult access to parking in underground car park
Review 22:Location is very good and staff were welcoming. The receptionist Cecilia was cheerful and most helpful.
Review 23:A short walk from the old town. Spacious comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Very good breakfast with a big selection of teas and jams along with breads, pastries, crepes and different hams and cheeses and fresh fruit.
Review 24:A little tricky getting into the garage area which is underneath the hotel but this was a minor detail.
Review 25:Hotel was close to centre of town with parking which was a great help. The accommodation couldn't be faulted and the staff were very helpful, just wished we could have stayed longer.
Review 26:Helpful staff, good location, easy to find by car. Underground parking at a cost but should be able to find off street parking. Lovely stay in Rennes.
Review 27:Minor moans only. We would have liked a kettle in our room. Breakfast was expensive
Review 28:Hotel was excellent throughout and car parking facilities useful in a busy town.
Review 29:Access to the car park is tight. Lift and garage entry to the lift could do with a face lift.
Review 30:Our room appears to have been recently renovated to a good standard. Liked the full length frosted glass ensuite walls.
Review 31:The room is very comfortable, bright, and clean. I would suggest adding a kettle for tea or coffee. Breakfast, which is included with the room, is excellent. There is a safe parking garage as well, and it is priced moderately (8.5 Euros/day).
Review 32:No bad experience.....JUST THE FACT THAT THE HOTEL IS A BIT OUT OF THE MAIN AREA OF THE OLD CITY. But, walking is good exercise!
Review 33:The big bed was total comfort. And the comforter supreme! I was surprised at the large size of the room, and, for a change, the modern style (as opposed to quaint) was enjoyable.
Review 34:Plastic sheet on bed uncomfortable. Breakfast to expensive at 12 euros - go to Brioche Doree in Columbia shopping centre at end of road.
Review 35:Excellent Location and staff
Review 36:Really tricky underground car park, take great care. Sat Nav to get around the city is essential.
Review 37:A well maintained and comfortable hotel, easy walk to some good restaurants and the old part of town. Excellent breakfast selection.
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:Hotel Anne de Bretagne - was an absolutely delightful place. Immaculate and efficient are 2 words that would describe this place. The staff could not have been more helpful and a pleasure to be with.

Review 41:Well run friendly establishment. Very helpful owner who put herself out to help us. Generous continental breakfast available until 10.30h. Someone available in reception for 23.00h arrival
Review 42:Nothing really. The hotel has no restaurant but offers really good satisfying breakfasts
Review 43:Room style and comfort and modernity Excellent helpful staff On useful bus routes Near excellent restaurants and very close to the old town

Review 46:Breakfast was expensive - we ate out. Access to the car park was VERY tight - although we did manage to enter and exit safely after lots of manoeuvring.
Review 47:Made welcome from the first moment we entered the hotel. Lovely room - beautifully presented. Excellent modern shower room. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 48:We liked everything! Hospitable and friendly hotel with cosy room, comfortable bed, good hairdryer and great location. And the beautiful cat in the lobby as a bonus!
Review 49:Great location in Rennes: close to everything, but still relatively quiet, easy 15-minute walk from the train station, even less so to Rue St-Michel for night life. The decor is gorgeous- photos don't even do it justice, bathrooms are immaculate. And every interaction I had with the staff was delightful!
Review 50:Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. All areas of the hotel were very clean. The hotel car park was secure and worth paying the extra to park.
