Reviews for Airport Guest House

Review 1:The single room that I occupied really needs a new comfortable bed along with the pillows which were very poor and uncomfortable as it was like trying to sleep on a board with bricks for your head.

Review 2:Facilities were very good along with the location for my purpose

Review 3:If you need anyone past 5pm the office is locked and your on your own. The heating seems to not run in the evening so you go back to a cold room. My room (number 5) has a terrible leak from the shower that soaks the convinetly placed toilet rolls. Chair supplied with the desk fell to bits when I sat on it. Location is terrible.

Review 4:Comfy bed, room service did a fantastic job at keeping the room clean!

Review 5:nothing it was great

Review 6:even though it is on the main road, the rooms were quite, and no road noise can be heard the room was small and cosy we loved it our host is a very charming man and his staff are grate thank you for putting us on to this accommodation

Review 7:I didn't like the fact that, for a period of three days, I was given only one small bar of soap and that there was no shampoo or conditioner.

Review 8:The staff, the room, the bathroom.

Review 9:We couldn't figure out how to use the radiator so the room was a little cold, but once under the lovely thick covers, we were good.

Review 10:Lovely small room, just perfect for a night between flights, bathroom was perfect with a lovely shower.

Review 11:Noise, take earplugs with you if you are use to quiet, the sound of traffic and planes can be distracting and the stairway was hard to negotiate with a suitcase.

Review 12:Staff (Owner) very friendly and helpful, bathroom was good, recently renovated.

Review 13:Our rooms weren't in the main building. We were given the keys, then told to walk down the street to another property.

Review 14:The rooms were fairly quiet, not a lot of street sound.

Review 15:Wall paper peeling off walls. Tap too big for the wash basin. Water splashed out of it. Bed linen was clean but itchy (starch or the washing powder used?). The cook looked very miserable in the morning. All Locks need updating-falling off hinges.

Review 16:Private free parking, Private entrance and exit. Pleasant owner.

Review 17:It would have been helpful to have a pamphlet in the room informing you of where you can get a bite to eat and supermarket and distances..other than that it was suitable for my needs for sure.

Review 18:It was definitely suitable for my requirements..a stop over before getting on the road.

Review 19:There were three lights, but only one light bulb worked. The advertised hairdryer was not found! The overall appearance of the place was rundown.

Review 20:It was clean and close to the airport.

Review 21:I had late night arrival due to a delayed flight. The hotel was locked and I was ringing the bell for long time. No staff at the reception. Nearly I would have gone away. Room too small. No hot water no service......waste of money!!!

Review 22:There was car and truck noise all night and the room was very light due to the street lights being very near the room. The room did not have black out curtains. Had a bad sleep due to the noise and light.

Review 23:Clean, comfortable beds, nice bathroom.

Review 24:The staff has been really nice and helpful. The wifi was really efficient and the position of the hotel was really close to Heatrow Airport (10 - 12 mi by bus). Bus stop was 1 min from the hotel.

Review 25:The kind helpfulness of the Proprietors....the lovely room and delicious breakfasts... The ample safe parking....and the convenience of airport hopper buses.

Review 26:only thing was kettle did not work properly milk tea bit stale no one to give key reception no one at desc on departure had to give key to cleaner other than that fine

Review 27:the room was very clean and bathroom

Review 28:The room was very small. The booking dates were misleading because I booked until 12th October, but I had to leave at 11:00 a.m - a detail which I missed to observe, I thought I had paid for the full day of October 12.

Review 29:I appreciated the free WiFi. Bus stops and a 24 hour Marks and Spencer store were very close by. Stuff helped me find a way to a destination.

Review 30:Room not in main hotel. Given directions on a post it note to an unmarked house across the main road and down past the petrol station to an odd annexe (like a row of garages) behind the house. Very very narrow drive - only managed to squeeze my car down by folding the mirrors in. Although room was clean there were some ' cosmetic' issues.

Review 31:Easy to find. Next door to large holiday Inn. Lovely polite gentleman booked me in. Free parking.

Review 32:Great place for an overnight stay, staff helpful, room quiet clean and all we needed. In the annex right next to the room but was extremely quiet got the hoppa bus next day to airpor

Review 33:The outer door was left unlocked on several occasions and I locked it for safety reasons. No shampoo or soap. Toilet seat kept sliding to the side when I reached behind me for the toilet paper... no holder. Very uncomfortable to reach behind me for it.

Review 34:Convenient to the airport and shuttle service at the neighboring hotel

Review 35:No really sound proof from room above Noise from toilets and taps came down into the room Having to travel no my room in a separate building down the Rd

Review 36:The access to the rear car park is so tight that we only had two inches each side to get through. With folded mirrors. Not for the faint hearted if you have a fairly large car. Milk was off so no cup of tea after an 8 hour road trip. Someone cooked a curry at 7am in the kitchen next to us.

Review 37:Location is close to M4, good value for money, pretty clean, the room was to the back so no road noise.

Review 38:Outside presentation was not good. Very steep narrow stairs to our room. Couldn't find a pub within walking distance. Traffic noise was evident. No hairdryer in our room.

Review 39:Great location with free parking. Very good internet.

Review 40:This was the second time that I have stayed here. It is perfectly situated for Heathrow. It meets my requirements of a cheap room close to the airport. The room was clean and tidy with free wifi and there was plenty of parking space. What more do you need for a stopover on the way to the airport?

Review 41:This guest house appears to be used by the council as emergency accommodation for homeless families- it did not feel safe. Other guests were very noisy and loud, children and families arguing and swearing at each other throughout my 3 night stay. Parents sat outside in the dark late at night with their suitcases drinking alcohol with small children present. The accommodation was 5 miles further away from my destination than booking.com originally stated. Wifi connection is very poor, had to use the internet on my phone.

Review 42:Room was clean Bedding wash fresh

Review 43:Steep narrow stairs although helped up with luggage. Greasy stains on bedcover.

Review 44:Very courteous and helpful . Location excellent. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed.

Review 45:Even staff is very nice, the hotel itself cannot be ranked even for one star. Yes, if you are to spend a night, it's OK: close to airport, good connections(buses). However, if you are about to spend a week or more you are to find out that hotel is very old and not meant to be a hotel. There are no elevators to the third floor (luggage?!), there are no phone in the the room and you better get SIM card with you so you can call in case of emergency; even bedding is clean, your towels don't get washed for a week or so. You can leave them on the floor, they get picked up and dried out on the bathroom rack until you are back to your room. There are no toiletries such as lotion, shampoo and etc. Yes, there is a soap bar (15g) and to get a new one you will have to use this one completely. You get a tea kettle - thank you - and sugar to it with milk, tea and coffee. Area is not safe at all, you better get back early then late to prevent a problem.

Review 46:I truly liked the staff, very nice people, very helpful.

Review 47:Too noisy to sleep - the building is not soundproof, you can hear the noisy traffics all night. The milk for the tea has an expire date in June whilst it was end Sept.

Review 48:The room is clean and freshly decorated.

Review 49:Convenient to airport, I caught bus across Rd to attend seminar at Park Inn. Proprietors really friendly & helpful. Room was comfortable, clean & modern. Lovely shower room.

Review 50:The cozy little room, and the very helpful hotel owner and his wife who offered to keep my luggage for me and encouraged me to go to Windsor as I had a very long layover. They were kind.

Review 51:The room was tiny, hardly enough space for our luggage.

Review 52:Close to Heathrow with free parking. The bathoorm with shower stall was clean and large in comparison to the room.

Review 53:It's slightly odd driving down the road to an annex, I didn't initially feel safe walking into the unmanned house, however i shouldn't have been concerned

Review 54:Very easy to find, access. I did not get 'lost' at all. Wonderful old building..lots of room for parking. It is very clise to Heathrow, but in a town. The shower was wonderful and the bed perfect...not too hard, not too soft.

Review 55:I arrived at 11pm and it took a little time for the door to be opened and for me to be allowed in. Slightly awkward to locate the guest house because of the road layout

Review 56:Good sized single room Traffic noise was minimal Bed linen felt and smelt really clean and fresh Easy journey to Heathrow

Review 57:Non professional staff. Light bulb over the bed was not turning off and the receptionist suggested me to unplug the bulb from holder to turn it off. Very small room, poor wifi signals, not even properly furnished and very high charges.

Review 58:There was nothing to like in this hotel.

Review 59:The property shown on the web site that we book wasn't the property we stayed in. The reception staff pointed us to a property further down the street and said you'll be staying in that one. Uncomfortable, unclean, not a nice experience. Rather have slept in my car.

Review 60:1. You had to walk a good 2-3 mins to another house, the hotel is not a usual hotel. It is separated.2. Only 2 bed pillows for 2 people. Normally and in general people use 2 bed pillows each, requested for another pillow, clearly the receptionist did not want to walk all the way up the road so they said "ill see what i can do" and put the phone down. Rang them later like 10 times, did not pick up and clearly was ignoring us. 3. room was cold, heating not working. 4. lamp was not working.

Review 61:The bed was ok

Review 62:The front yard was a bit grim. A precise description of how to get the airport by public transport would have been helpful.

Review 63:They were kind enough to let us put our luggage in room early. IT had a separate entrance.

Review 64:Having to cart my heavy suitcase upstairs including another suitcase for my elderly mother, narrow staircases didn't help either. Very noisy with the traffic outside, our room was at the front. It needs upgrading. Not in a safe area for my liking.

Review 65:The welcome was and friendly and pleasant.

Review 66:to cramped. On booking told them we were disabled and needed a ground floor room but on arrival we had to climb stairs, which was very painfull, shower room rusty utensill holders and cracked floor tiles

Review 67:Not a bad experience, but a little difficult to park - on busy road.

Review 68:comfortable bed - good value - convenience to heathrow airport - kettle and coffee supplied. Very clean.

Review 69:Rooms were in a separate building down the road and not particularly luxurious although clean and all i required for a 1 night stay.

Review 70:Good location and parking free.

Review 71:We orderd a double room got 2 single beds , the toilet seat was not secured propaly so i hurt my legs , no one there to take the key in the morning so posted them

Review 72:Owner was frendly, could chek in late we arrived about 11pm

Review 73:Very minor point bedside light needs new bulb and as we left early morning did not report it to the owner. We did have a good nights sleep.

Review 74:Friendly greeting really nice owner

Review 75:room was really noisy due to lorries passing the front window and i ended up checking out at 5 am to sleep in my van for more peaceful sleep i would of had a better nights sleep on the m25

Review 76:nothing

Review 77:I couldn't find the password for the WiFi on the box in the hallwayand had already put on my PJ's so didn't want to get dressed togo to ask for it. It was also quite late so didn't want to ring toask either. But this is a very minor point and not a complaint, especially as I checked in late anyway so totally my own fault.

Review 78:I arrived at around 10pm and the owners were very nice about it and whenI'd rung had said I could check in even later if required. Veryhelpful owner check in and welcome, he went out of his way to carry mybags in for me. Very conveniently located for Heathrow, a straight rundown a well signposted a4 which took only 15 mins despite very heavytraffic. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a nice touch of a properbar of soap, (albeit a small one), a proper sized mug and tea and coffeemaking facilities in the room. Decent sized wall mounted tv. I had asingle room which wasn't huge but more than big enough for what Ineeded and not lacking in facilities at all. Definitely my new stay overplace for Heathrow related trips.

Review 79:Directions to Guest House were not very clear. Annex room on main road had a lot of traffic noise, especially with window open on a hot summer night.

Review 80:If you are using Terminal 5 and staying one night, this is an excellent value, but Otherwise it's hard to get to. While they advertise service from Hotel Hoppa, they don't explain, that you have to ask for the Holiday Inn Express T5. Room in the annex was clean, but small.

Review 81:Nothing

Review 82:Have stayed here before but this time my room was especially good - spacious, new TV, excellent (free) wi-fi, tea/coffee and with a really lovely and large en-suite.

Review 83:The attitudeof the staff when we arrived she said she had been running it for thirty years advertise breakfast when we got there she said there was no breakfast then 8 in the morning house keeping was knocking on door to clean the room we had to also go toanother house further down the road

Review 84:Couldn't stay in hotel, had to hunt for auxiliary building down busy road after already tired and ready to rest. Hostess rude because we couldn't find where to turn into driveway. No bedside light or light in bath.

Review 85:Direct shot to airport

Review 86:The road outside is so busy all the time it's very noisy and hard to sleep. Bed covers had hairs and stains on it and room needed a lick of paint! And £7.50 for breakfast 2 mins up the road is a harvester I ate there!

Review 87:friendly owner, free wifi

Review 88:Very hard to find Very noisy right on the road Very cramped and does need a thorough clean Unfortunately doesn't give reassurance as to safety

Review 89:Off street parking

Review 90:Room is not large, but staff checked about amount of luggage first, so I could have got bigger if I needed.

Review 91:Convenient location, and just what was needed for an overnight stop at Heathrow's Terminal 5. Room faced the back, so it was quiet.

Review 92:far from the airport, if you get there at night with luggage have to get a taxi cab from the airport and it is to expansive, the bus is close but difficult with big bag.

Review 93:There is no lift, which may be an issue if you have a lot of baggage.

Review 94:Very convenient for the Holiday Inn next door for the restaurant/bar and Hoppa bus transfer to the airport T5 (£4.50 when I took it). Also an M&S store at the garage across the road.

Review 95:Walls and doors are quite thin and could hear drilling outside.

Review 96:Private bathroom and good connection to Heathrow (Hoppa Hotel H55). The room was very basic but clean, and the bed comfortable. The price is ok, if compared to other Heahtrow Hotels. It's ok for one night stay to catch an early flight.

Review 97:We had a room on the front and the traffic was very noisy; also, there are not many rooms on the ground floor and the stairs are steep. We were leaving the next day and had to haul heavy suitcases up small, steep stairs so that we could pack them properly and balance the weight.

Review 98:This is a series of houses turned into a guest house that is in a very convenient location for travelers leaving the country from Heathrow. It was clean and basic, a bit old-fashioned, but the staff were helpful and friendly and we wouldn't hesitate to use it again to be near Heathrow for a flight the next day. Traffic in the UK is unpredictable at best - especially on the M25 - and the day before we had been stuck in stationary traffic for 90 minutes on the M40. Good value for taking away the stress of getting to the airport on the day of a flight.

Review 99:Friendly yet professional, clean and neat and worked very well for me because I had family staying at Holiday Inn express which is right next door and we could also use the airport shuttle for catching the tube at Terminal 5 Convenience store nearby helps

Review 100:This "hotel" offers very small rooms with room for nothing buta bed, dresser with a tv on top, and one end table with a lamp. The"hotel" was far from Heathrow Airport and the driver of thetransportation suggested, Hotel Hoppa, did not know of this place. It isalmost isolated and when I asked the manager about a restaurant, hesuggested the 7-11 type store across the street. I purchased thebreakfast, which took sooooo long to prepare, I had to leave to catchthe Hoppa back to the airport. Do not stay here!

Review 101:The price was right, but you get what you pay for and the low cost meansa very small, bare room in a location close to nothing.

Review 102:There is only one place to eat and drink within 10 minutes walking distance. When I stayed their kitchen was closed.

Review 103:Handy garage. Sells M & S food and drink.

Review 104:The exterior of the building is a put-off for passing trade. A little paint and some potted/ hanging plants would make all the difference.

Review 105:The welcome was friendly, the room was really clean and comfortable with everything I needed. Free parking and wifi was a plus. I booked a further week because I loved it.

Review 106:if I knew that I would stay at annex house, wouldn't have booked it. the guy showed me just how to get there and didn't even come together. it was over 23 at night. I felt really tired and a bit worried. and the room door was not possible to lock from inside

Review 107:close to heathrow airport

Review 108:For travellers staying more than one night, they are advised to pack up their toothbrush and towels etc. in the morning as the cleaner might throw them away even if their luggage is left inside the room.

Review 109:A lovely house on the serene periphery of London, though only the most basic facilities can be expected at this price. It takes only about 12 minutes' ride from Heathrow Airport by taking bus no.75 / 76 at the Central Bus Station of Terminal 3. The official name of the bus stop is Sutton Place but the bus driver only understands Sutton Lane (southern end). Tickets can be paid by cash on board the bus (change available). It costs just over 4 pounds for a single trip. The location is great if you wish to visit Windsor (buy an 'explorer one day ticket' for eight pounds on board bus no. 75 / 76 to the Slough Bus Station and change there for Bus no. 191 to Bracknell, getting off at Parish Church station, Windsor). The WiFi is good.

Review 110:They should give you clear instructions to get there before your arrival. I tried to take the hoppa bus to get there but drivers didn't know where the hotel was so I had to take a taxi.

Review 111:Friendly staff, clean room, good value for money

Review 112:Liked location - easy to get to after late car rental, easy to get on M4 in the morning. With free parking - perfect setup for my late arrival and early morning trip West. Nice bed and cotton bedding, good English breaksfast (for extra 7.50), friendly owner. Note - we stayed in the annex, which checked your driving skills with narrow entry to backyard car park :) Good way to start your first ever right-hand-side drive.

Review 113:Quite busy main road and inevitable aircraft noise

Review 114:very friendly polite helpful owner and staff close to heathrow terminal 5 and good bus and hoppa service . nearby carvery toby's excellent value for £ 6.95 pretty countryside nearby old buildings in Colnbrook and near Windsor and Thames

Review 115:Room was on front of building close to a main road a bit noisy but not soon able to sleeps

Review 116:price of room clean tidy comfy beds very accommodating for my elderly mother staff friendly lovely cooked breakfast cereals and toast included

Review 117:Bathroom very small, knees knocking on basin pedestal when using loo.... Room was a normal bedroom with an en-suite but into it so the actual room space was reduced dramatically when attempting to pass other people in the room.

Review 118:Owner very pleasant and helpfull

Review 119:It had no Shampoo, only soap. Cleaning lady came at 10:10 even know I was supposed to be allowed to stay till 11:00. She is supposed to come @ 11:10!

Review 120:The room was clean, it had some tea and coffe ready for me and there was a TV and a WiFi available.

Review 121:Small rooms, no hair dryer or ironing board

Review 122:It comprises of two separate houses on one street. Plenty of parking at the rear. Nice staff. Shops close by

Review 123:Came back to the room lateish to find ants crawling all over the bedside central table, the room smelt fusty/old. Killed the ants I could see and booked a room in the nearby Premier Inn which was miles better. Would not consider this guest house again.

Review 124:The staff were v good

Review 125:When one arrives the outside looks like a regular suburban home but the owners are refurbishing the outside of the property next year.

Review 126:From the outside it doesn't look much and I questioned the value of £46 a night for this place which didn't look as good as a Travelodge but in saying that, the room was lovely, clean and refurbished and I was pleasantly surprised. Comfortable bed, quiet, modern shower with free wifi. I couldn't want for anything more. I will return again for the location and comfortable stay.

Review 127:Value for money B&B, decent sized rooms, clean toilets and shower, free parking, very accommodating owner. I wasn't carrying a laptop and the owner was kind enough to let me use his computer to perform web-checkin. The guest house is near Heathrow , with bus stops which you can use (ticket costs around 3 pounds), taxi fare from the guest house is around 11 pounds.

Review 128:The main man at the desk was super nice to me. I kept asking him questions and he never seemed to be bothered or annoyed. Gave me directions everywhere I needed to go. Very nice. the rooms were nice but small. Great wifi and a nice tv with lots of channels!

Review 129:Location; paid 40 pounds for a taxi from Heathrow. Didn't know the the H55 Hotel Hoppa will take you to the Holiday Inn Express next door for 4.50 pounds.

Review 130:Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room.

Review 131:Busy noisy main road at front of house, where the room was allocated, in a separate house from the main house. Toilet seat.not safe on arrival....seems fixture was broken. No bedside light provided.

Review 132:Being able to have accommodation at a reasonable price. It was clean but though window was opened a little, a stuffy smell lingered all night.
