Review 1：No bad experience but the room was a little small .The bathroom was also small with the toilet immediately behind the door .

Review 3：On arrival I was given a Double room, when I said I'd requested a Twin I was told that my request for a Twin room hadn't got to "their end" The owner was happy to immediately rectify the problem. It was slightly embarrassing than being a problem :)

Review 5：Double room, not twin as requested when booking. Rather awkward personal customer service. As I was staying with my 8 eight old son I phoned ahead to ask if a fridge & microwave were available to use, in order to keep meal options open...After arrival & settling in I asked where the microwave was to heat up the food and got a lecture on not eating food in the room, (I had intended to use the dining room, which is listed as a facility). The host seemed rather reluctant to let me use the dining room, I quote "We're not that kind of place". At that point I honestly felt like eating our meal in my vehicle before promptly departing...I was fully equipped with plates, cutlery, napkins, and we didn't leave a crumb. I've stayed here previously with work & liked the place, hence my returning, but given the condescending attitude I won't be returning for business or leisure. Breakfast was rather greasy. No glasses in room, just 2 plastic disposable 125ml things, like a nurse would pass you medication in.

Review 11：The shower cubicle was very small in our room and the shower really was not worth taking, you could hardly move and the shower head was small the water hardly ran. The Saniflow toilet made a lot of noise when flushed and sometimes water leaked around the bottom of the toilet after flushing. Also breakfast times were ridiculous 7am to 8.30am, who wants to get up at 7am on holiday. The owner was not a very welcoming person, it made you feel like you were an inconvenience rather than welcome guest.

Review 33：We had a very warm welcome from Howard, the Proprietor, and although busy with a fully occupied house, we felt he had time for us and nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were really lovely, spacious and very attractively decorated. Breakfasts, cooked to order by Howard, were very, very good and served immediately from the kitchen adjoining the dining room.

A shame the road closure wasn't mentioned on booking but didn't affect that much in reality. didn't realise located on a road junction - might be an issue in summer but as a quiet week was no problem for me. You'll get a better deal by cutting out the middle man of course.

Howard was most accommodating a gave us a lovely room over looking the garden which would not disturb the other guests due to the late time of our arrival. The room was lovely warm and inviting and the bed was the most comfortable that I have ever slept in at any B & B. The breakfast the next morning was lovely as well
