Reviews for Celenya Hôtel

Review 1:Nothing I had a fantastic time.

Review 2:Really interesting place to stay, in the heart of Toulon . Superb staff, one even printed my boarding pass off for me in the morning , very kind.

Review 3:Bathroom was not brilliant ... no shower curtain had water everywhere., and a tiny room for separate toilet.

Review 4:Location was great and staff very helpful.

Review 5:The wall had water damage and the bathroom handle came off. The shower had no door , wall, or curtain. Just out in the open! The sink was within the shower area.

Review 6:The room had a large balcony!

Review 7:Staff during my check-in was not so friendly. She couldn't speak english well. She even don't know anything about the places to visit in Toulon. Which I can't believe. But staff during my check-out was good. She guided me well. Toilet was not attached to the room, I was asked to use the common toilet. Nonsense. 77 € per night is little costly.

Review 8:Hotel is located just 3 min walkable distance from Toulon station. Tidy and simple. Breakfast was also good.

Review 9:I did not like that the reception called me at 11pm to inform me about something that could have waited until the morning. I messed up my sleep.

Review 10:I was totally satisfied with location, service and facility. Very close to train station and surrounded by good cafes and restaurants. My frienda stayed in other hotels and mine had the best location and for cheaper price.

Review 11:We have no complaints.

Review 12:Location is perfect, close to SNCF and about 5 minutes walk from the centre of town, under 10 minutes to the port. Room was very comfortable, we enjoyed our stay, merci!

Review 13:Even though the room was very small, it was incredibly comfortable. From the bed to the great air conditioning, I slept like a rock. The location on a quaint street and the large balcony is also a plus. Great value for money.

Review 14:The temperature in the room was pretty high.

Review 15:The view from the balcony was very nice and the WiFi connection was great. The staff was very friendly. Perfect hotel if you're not staying there for too long (1 - 7 nights).

Review 16:Smell of diesel or petrol in the lobby and on the landings. It doesn't matter how well you know the person you're sharing with, a door between the toilet and the room is an essential.

Review 17:Staff were very helpful. Great location.

Review 18:Very poor level of lighting, both in the room & more especially in the bathroom. No door to the bathroom, why ever not? Bed was like trying to sleep on a table, extremely firm.

Review 19:Location of this hotel, being about 300m from the station & 10 minutes walk from the Rugby stadium was great. The lift worked. Room was cleaned daily & towels replaced. Decent sized room. TV worked, although the choice of channels was limited

Review 20:They do need to bleach the damp areas in the bedrooms as they does look unsightly.

Review 21:Location is brilliant being approx 200 metres from the bus and Train Stations. 50 metres from Libertie Square and minutes from the City Centre. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very helpful.

Review 22:Shower water didn't drain away very well - annoying rather than a big problem!

Review 23:The hotel is well located, being a short walk from the station and from the main shopping street and bus stops. it is surrounded by a good choice of restaurants and cafes. it was good value for money, clean, comfortable and we slept well.

Review 24:It is difficult to see the. hotel. So ,you pass in the small one direction street without noticing the hotel , and the second time without noticing that there is a parking place in front of the entrance door which allows you to unload the car .

Review 25:location in the centre of Toulon; you can walk in 10 minutes through the old town to the harbour with the navy ( among others the "Charles Degaule") and a lot of restaurants and cafés.

Review 26:Everything is quite small, as the elevator, the rooms and the lobby. But that's no real problem. The staff isn't all the time near the welcome desk, so you have to wait there sometimes.

Review 27:We've been here for the second time, our room was even more comfortable than last year, we had a balcony! The rooms are decorated nicely, the hotel ist next to a very beautiful "place de la liberte" and you can easily walk to the port and through the shopping streets.

Review 28:Toilet was bit noisy flushing from upstairs at times Shower needs curtain soaked bathroom floor and sink few times!

Review 29:Close to the train station Lovely clean modern room Lovely breakfast

Review 30:Very basic, shower flooded bathroom.

Review 31:Location - central of town

Review 32:Sorry Read over!!!!

Review 33:Î needed A room Cold Window open when î came in At 9pm No heat Barth room????? No !!!

Review 34:Disappointed did not provide map of Toulon Shower tap in room 203 is in need of attention

Review 35:Friendly staff in accessible location near Rail Station.

Review 36:correct sympa

Review 37:Few people working in the hotel - we waited each time for our key.

Review 38:Rooms were cleaned even late in the morning. Good position near the station.

Review 39:Room was very small but ok for one night, however the bathroom was a wet room.

Review 40:Was very near station which was very handy.

Review 41:Bad value for money for breakfast.

Review 42:Very good location. Fine value for money

Review 43:Location and price

Review 44:Courteous and helpful staff; particularly the afternoon/early evening concierge. Will likely return.

Review 45:I enjoyed my stay, we got an African theme room with a sweet balcony and beautiful bathroom.

Review 46:Next-door couple was quite noisy :/

Review 47:Breakfast nice room and friendly staff.

Review 48:Very friendly and helpful staff

Review 49:There was nothing that I did not like. All was well.

Review 50:Location and value.

Review 51:Nice , quiet well managed place on a convenient spot. It is close to the railway station and not too far from the shopping/restaurant strip and very comfortable.

Review 52:The advert said soundproofed room - quite the opposite - drunk neighbours I challenged at 2am continued until first light. Bed cover and pillows stained - we wrapped the flat pillows in towels.Shutters and curtains not light-proof -curtain rail collapsed. shower head had to be held in the hand and flooded the bathroom. We turned off the tap to the cistern which kept filling noisily every few minutes in the night.

Review 53:Staff helpful and gave us a town map. Security efficient at 3am to challenge noisy drunk neighbours. Curtain pole fixed next day. Hairdryer lent when requested.

Review 54:1. General cleaning of room lacking/inconsistent; spider webs in corners, hairs, floors and surfaces not very clean 2. Room 504 headboard was not fully attached to wall; moved around and electrical cords fell down from behind 3. Shower is tiny even for the smallest of people. Step up to enter bathroom. Impossible to prevent water from getting all over floor. Scalding danger is you brush again water faucet by accident while trying to use the tiny shower 4. Room had minimal furniture; No nightstands; just a small box to hold single lamp 5. Small lobby but nice seating area with TV on 1st floor opposite the breakfast room where you can enjoy a drink

Review 55:1. Convenient to train station 2. Cost per night was good value 3. Helpful and friendly staff 4. Quality linens and towels-crisp and clean 5. Tourist information available 6. Wifi worked well 7. Breakfast was basic but price was fair 8. Air conditioning worked well 9. Room on front, no street noise when window was closed 10. Fairly quiet room (depending on the noise level of other guests) 11. Comfortable/fairly firm bed 12. For a two star hotel, it is actually a lot better than I expected and some of the poor reviews were unfairly harsh.

Review 56:No early check in, no lift, building work hoing on. asked reception to order a taxi wasn't done missed our train

Review 57:Great location in centre Montmartre. Rooms very basic no mod cons At all just a bed and a bathroom but clean and comfortable. Could be fantastic with a bit of work

Review 58:The lights in the rooms are not bright enough if you want to study or read. The breakfast lacks variety (one kind of cheese, croissant of not good quality)

Review 59:Very friendly reception and very helpful, very economical and in the center of Toulon (very near the train station and the Liberte bus arret)

Review 60:The hotel is just 5 minute walk from the railway station and a good central location. The rooms are very individual - we were on the 3rd floor which has an african theme - brilliant. Very clean and friendly staff. Reception open 24 hours and leave the key with reception. Excellent idea, no worries about losing the key. All in all a very enjoyable stay and great value for money.

Review 61:Illumination is a bit poor, especially in the bathroom.

Review 62:The room is comfortable and quite large. Everything seemed clean and organized. Staff was very helpful when I had to store my luggage almost an entire day after I checked-out.

Review 63:First room shower was moldy and thick old air small shower overlooking the toilet , asked to change room and was met with , Why, Why , why like some kind of Gustapo , changed my room no extra charge , second room also very cramped shower but they did the best they could ! Toilet paper holder is placed directly next to the toilet and I had a uncofortable time to use the restroom and Im a very small skinny person . Its directy in the way so you have to lean to the left ! So annoying . Front desk was a nightmare , they want you to turn in your Key eveytime you leave , coming back , we were always looking for the desk clerk , and waiting , day time the phone is always ringing and yes no matter how long you are standing there they anwser the phone first , we waited like 15-20 min just to tun in our key ! And go enjoy our day .... I got the feeling that once you paid you were second rate to costomers on the phone or just checking in , very bad service . More like a upgraded hostel ! NOT a hotel ! One day we asked to have our room clean , came home late and no Toilet papre and no towels , my wife went to ask for some and the desk clerk looked like , "what do you want me to do" ? We had to say well please get us some towles and toilet paper ! " Oh were out of toilet paper you have to ask in the morning ! Well too late , We need somthing now so the desk clerk went to the kitchen and gave us a handfull of napkins ! Really a Hotel? Breakfast , as always in France is like 10 euros for cereal fruit criosants and coffee save your cash and eat out ...

Review 64:Location great ! Just a stone throw from main train and bus station , and regional bus station , strain down the street you run into the marina 5 min walk and naval museum , 10 min walk old town and very quaint I must say much nicer than Marseille .

Review 65:When we arrived, around 8 pm, the girl from the front desk required to pay before seeing the rooms. Obviously we didnt. We had two double rooms. One of them, smelled like a warehouse, you could feel the wet in the whole room. We told the girl to change our room because of that issue and she confirmed the room was perfect. After arguing with her for 10 minutes she accepted to visit the room with us and then she realized the real situation. Then she told us she had a room left. Now she has!! The room wasnt in the same conditions we paid: no complete bathroom. we required to get a discount and she said no. We got breakfast for free instead. Anyway, the thing is she tried first to sell us a room without seeing it first because she already knew about the problem in it and once it is paid... and second, she didnt give us a solution. She didnt care. Attention and care to us was aweful. Not recomend at all.

Review 66:The only thing I liked was the proximity to the city center. Actually it was just a hotel to sleep that night. Nothing else.

Review 67:The standard of cleaning was haphazard, the rooms had no tea/coffee making facilities at one point the fire alarm was either being tested or was an alarm during which time the electricity was switched off my wife who is semi disabled had to go down the stairs from the fifth floor at no time did a member off staff explain to us or other guests what was happening nor was a roll all taken we were left outside in ignorance we would not use this hotel again

Review 68:The lift was working the location good one member of staff was very helpful with local knowledge and friendly I would go as far as to say without her we would have changed hotels

Review 69:The bathroom in our room was without toilet. We had to use a common toilet in the restaurant. The room was very noisy. The staff does not speak English.

Review 70:Good location just few minute from the train and bus station.

Review 71:I checked in late at night arount 23:30 and checked out the next day around 7 in the morning, practically I just slept and left. The young lady at the reception gave me room number 602 which smelled really bad, I opened the window for half an hour but the it still smelled bad, there was also a very disturbing noise (water pumping) coming from the toilet exactly every 30 secs, that made me struggle to sleep for one and half hour. I complained at the reception and asked to change the room, the guy at the reception gave me a quite and nicer room in the 4th floor.

Review 72:Location

Review 73:Noisy building site next door No door on bathroom No kettle in room

Review 74:Good breakfast Excellent location - right next to train/bus stations, restaurants within a couple of minutes, city centre and port walkable Comfy bed (if you like a firm mattress)

Review 75:No complaints

Review 76:All Staff were excellent. The Hotel was very Clean. The location is great and close to bus transportation. Breakfast was good and every thing was fresh

Review 77:toulon the city is ok.

Review 78:i have a boat in toulon, for sailing the COTE D;AZUR WEST area around toulon is great.if you are on the water the area is exc.

Review 79:Unfriendly staff, incorrect booking gave me a double bed instead of twosingles. When asked about it I was given an angry response before hefinally backed down. Was over charged by 3 euros as well. Could hearpeople having sex constantly at all hours. Would not recommend it toothers and definitely won't be coming back.

Review 80:They informed us after booking in that the elevator was out of order -(we were on the 4th floor) and it was a long way to haul luggage. Onlyafter seeing our annoyance did they offer a discount to help compensate.Internet was hopeless.

Review 81:Staff were very friendly and willing to help. Room was airy andpleasant.

Review 82:A foul mildew stench that lingered on in the rooms. I moved after 2 nights from 4th floor to 5th. The stench was still emitted from mildew on the bathroom ceiling. Slow internet that kept dropping out.

Review 83:Opposite Zenith of Toulon & SNCF train station. Close to old town and all main attractions. Theme continents on each floor. The decor.

Review 84:The hotel rooms are very small - we have seen ca. 3 rooms and was not easy to decide. The lift was not working and we have got a room at 5th floor.. With no air-condition at public stairs. The receptionist told us, that they are 2stars hotel, so we should have no expectations.. Rooms have no enough space for clothers.

Review 85:Hotel staff was really nice and friendly.

Review 86:Room was very small and dark; hardly any lamps and they were very dim,so it was too dark to read in the evenings. The hotel halls had a badsmell, and overall the lodgings were dreary and uncomfortable.

Review 87:Rooms were small, some have bathrooms without doors. Hotel dosent haveextra foams/ baby carts for children, so it is uncomfortable forfamilies . Lift is antiquated/ old, with frequent break down.

Review 88:Location was nice. Staff at desk was helpful.

Review 89:Bit noisy, some rooms cramped (saw friends rooms), breakfast a bit haphazard as ran out of things like knives.

Review 90:Central, clean rooms and fine for a short break. Nice staff.

Review 91:1. We chose that hotel also because there was a 24/7 reception. Unfortunately what was not mentioned is that after 23.00 the elevator is switched off. And our room was on the 6th floor... not even talking about the big luggage that we had with us. Fortunately the concierge has been very kind and very helpful. 2. The breakfast is very nice (fresh croissants, baguette and pains au chocolat)... provided that there are still some left... which apparently runs out quite quickly, even if you have an early breakfast. 3. On the picture the room looked really spacious, may be we were just unlucky but our room was really small and with big luggage it does not help.

Review 92:The location of the hotel is very central.

Review 93:none

Review 94:location service everything

Review 95:Both receptionists were very friendly and helpful And the location was very central

Review 96:Nothing really enjoyed my stay here.

Review 99:Close to train station

Review 100:noisy during night

Review 104:A very nice and good 2 stars hotel. nice staff good location. good breakfst and good value for the money

Review 113:Nice staff, cosy room, and original French breakfast.

Review 114:Wifi connection kept cutting out

Review 115:The staff were helpful and it was very clean and close to the station.

Review 116:The toilet, sink and airco did not work. The room was very small. Waytoo expensive for what you get.
