Review 1：Not consistent - one recepcionist helpful and pleasant, another perfunctory and unhelpful.

Review 2：Some very nice staff together with a nice room with sea view made the stay feel luxurious.

Review 3：It is an actual palace rebuilded in a very classy and sophisticated way, with indescribable view to the "ria". I would strongly recommend couples to go to this amazing hotel.

Review 5：This was the third or fourth time we have stayed at the hotel. The views over the bay from the balcony in the room are to die for, it is beautifully decorated, furnished and maintained, the staff are wonderful, the food is excellent, it has secure underground parking - the ensuite bathrooms are as big as some hotel rooms! There is a small (not private, but secluded) beach at the end of the gardens. It is just a superb, relaxing experience.

Review 6：Boyfriend was locked in the toilets for over an hour because of broken handle and staff had to break the door down. But they compensated us with champagne and moving us to the suite. Made our holiday more interesting. It's also very far away from the main town and main beach. Don't try to walk it like I did.

Review 8：Approachable and friendly staff. Hotel grounds are beautifully kept, large comfy bedrooms with great facilities. Great Location with great views of the beach. Samil beach is a short ride away if you want to a beach with a lovely beach club serving food and drink.

Review 9：A suite without a balcony and the fact that it was not disclosed in booking.com. Also the info on booking made believe it was a good deal, as if we were getting a grand suite for the price of a suite. Very misleading! All the noises made in the room next door were heard in ours as if they were in our suite. All the conversations, etc. For a five star hotel, breakfast was very poor. Very expensive for what it offered!

Review 11：Our room smelled like smoke. We are non smokers so this really irritated us. They offered another room however it was not as good as the room we paid for and they were not willing to offer discount.

Review 13：The amazing view from the room big balcony. The outside views and the building stones. The room and bathroom were also very big. The beds ( twins) were also king size beds and very comfortable . The staff did their very best to make our stay a great moment.

Review 21：The restaurant was awful. We had a tuna salad (€15) and a Hake in green sauce. Both were a disgrace to Galician cooking. Avoid at all costs. Hotel location far from city - car or taxi needed. Bathroom layout odd and claustrophobic. Bathtub not clean (May have been difficult to reach).

Review 22：Room with balcony. Very large king size bed. Very nice and helpful staff. The concierge helped us booking tickets for the ferry to Islas Cíes. Free minibar (don't get too excited, it just means two bottles of water and coke each day). Gardens were excellent to walk around in.

Review 23：The words ‘spa’ and ‘beach’ in the name of this hotel are totally misleading. Firstly there is a high additional cost for using the Spa (this is not mentioned on the website); the website shows a picture of an indoor pool with the words ‘take a dip in the pool’ but doesn’t say you need to pay a high Spa entry charge to use it nor that it is only 2 metres wide, so only big enough for one or two people to swim in. There is a gate from the hotel grounds to the beach but the hotel does not provide any facilities like sun loungers or umbrellas. There is not even a tap to rinse your feet. Are we supposed to walk back to our rooms with sand on our feet? Problems with the outdoor pool: it wasn’t open in the mornings and there was nowhere to change. There were 2 toilet and 2 shower cubicles but no hooks to hang clothes or towels on, and no surfaces to place them on, other than the floor. The café in the main hotel was mostly behind glass. The terrace had space for only a few people.

Review 33：The lack of special attention. Asked for the pillows to be changed to synthetic, because of allergy to duck feather, but it didn't happen, so had to sleep without a pillow. Houskeeping kept moving our stuff around so we could not find it afterwards. And they put us to some mediocre room in the corner with the view of a white wall, although it was obvious that the hotel was half empty, so why not upgrade and make the guests happy?!
