Reviews for Hotel Le Marin
Review 1:Car parking can be a problem. There is free parking very near to the hotel, but it was difficult to find an available place due to the popularity of Auray.
Review 2:Hotel is a family run concern, situated in a quiet location close to a tidal estuary. Minutes away from restaurants etc, and the town of Auray is a short walk away
Review 3:It would be lovely if they could provide tea making facilities in the bedroom. We took our own! Unfortunately, no lift so a bit of a trek up to the second floor! BUT, don't let these very minor points put you off booking!!!
Review 4:Our room was a bit on the small side but more than adequate with lovely view of the river. excellent location for the water front and the wide variety of restaurants and bars! The owners were superb hosts and made us so welcome.
Review 5:Comfortable room with a great closet and view of the river. Great breakfast, especially the homemade apricot preserves! Helpful and personable owners made us feel welcome. Lack of an elevator and narrow stairs could be a problem for some.
Review 6:No bad experience at all. We would love to be able to have an evening meal here and to enjoy a drink at the bar later on in the evening too. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere and we have no complaints whatsoever - we would just love more!
Review 7:The hotel is a quaint, characterful place in an ideal location. The owners are just lovely. The hotel is immaculately clean. The breakfast was perfect for what we required and the prices are excellent
Review 8:Hosts were remarkably friendly. We left behind a valuable set of headphones. owner tracked us down, contacted us & arranged to ship the headphones to our home. attractively & conveniently located.
Review 9:Everything was great, especially the hosts, Eddie & Corinne. Magnificent location in port of St Goustan. Close to many restaurants and short walk to centre of Auray. Excellent home made jam.
Review 10:The hotel location is very picturesque and was perfect for us, being within 5 minutes walk of numerous good restaurants. Owners Corinne and Eddy are wonderful hosts who make a real effort to make you feel at home. The hotel is small but very comfortable and an ideal base for exploring the area. I have nothing negative to say and will probably return to Le Marin soon.
Review 11:My husband and I loved the location. The proprietors made us feel very much at home as they provided a nice breakfast in a very pretty bright room decorated with excellent taste with marine original items.
Review 12:Great location in a beautiful town, lovely staff, very nice clean rooms. We liked it so much we booked another night and returned after a night in Vannes
Review 13:Extremely friendly hosts and hotel Odin a great spot. Auray is a little touristy, but still very pretty and a great place to stay if The Tour de France is nearby and you want to see a bit of Brittany (like we did).
Review 14:None
Review 15:Corrine and Eddy were the most welcoming hosts of all of the 5 hotels we stayed in during our trip around Normandy/Brittany. Both speak very good English and also entertain our poor French! Breakfast was excellent, free Wifi, very good value for money and the location is perfect.

Review 24:The Hotel and owners were so friendly and charming. We stayed here 7 years ago with different owners but our stay was even better this time. Love the interior, its soothing maritime lines, clean and comfy with peaceful Auray at your fingertips. Breakfast was good as was the homemade jam. Highly recommendable to everyone.

Review 67:The owner was very friendly. The hotel is nice, clean an quiet and a very short walk to the main attractions.
Review 68:We liked the location which has character, proximity to the port of Auray which in turn is a character place with its cobble stone streets and restaurants. The owners made us feel very welcome and were extremely friendly and we had a thoroughly good time and look forward to returning there as soon as we are able.
Review 69:Although we were accomodated, parking could be an issue but that is more to do with the historic location.

Review 76:We stayed in this hotel for three nights and had no difficulty in parking BUT I can imagine that at the height of the season there could be a problem if you wish to park near to the hotel. The wifi only worked intermittently in the room but you can sit in the bar if you are desperate to access the Internet
Review 77:It's location was difficult to better. The breakfast was OK but a little more variety would have been welcomed. The owners were very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to visit and the walk they suggested, from the Hotel to Le Bono is highly recommend
